“Fresh made to order fried chicken with great flavor: piping/steaming hot and juicy dark meat. The wings are giant, the same size as a thigh piece! I'm lucky to live near a place that serves Halal Chicken and Waffles--only in America, and in central Jersey of all places.”

“In general it's a pretty decent place for a regular meal, but I have been to its predecessor for years and I loved the food and the people, therefore I have formed a prejudice towards anyone that comes afterwards.”

“Very nice atmosphere, a bit fancier than many Chinese restaurants. Most dishes are quite spicy - some in my family love these. But there are also some choices for those of us who prefer less spicy. My Chinese relatives consider the quality to be very high - one of the best restaurants in Central New Jersey.”

“This place is a gem in HP, quaint and charming, hands down, some of the best food I’ve had recently! They use the freshest ingredients and make sure each dish is done the right way. The Tacos al Pastor was especially memorable. Must try!!”

“One of my go-to spots for boba! I've tried a variety of their milk and fruit teas, and they all hit. My go-to at the moment is My Ex w/ 50% sugar and white pearls. I also like the Mango Pomelo drink. Street parking is very convenient, as well.”

“This spot is a family-ran Mexican restaurant that has some very reasonably priced items! I found this local gem as a Rutgers student, but still worth the trip back whenever I have a hankering for Mexican in Highland Park 0 They also have lunch specials currently priced at $9.99 which is such a steal nowadays!”

“Me and my boyfriend have been craving authentic Chinese bbq skewers for a while and stumbled upon this place online. The waitress was very nice, but spoke very little english - the Chinese menu translations were pretty rough so we weren't too sure exactly what we ordered, but just went with it and hoped for the best. We were not disappointed and will definitely be coming back again to try some other things on the menu! Lamb/beef skewers: 5/5These honestly hit the spot - were probably the most authentic skewers I've had in the states EVER. Each skewer had a generous amount of meat and was perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection. We could not stop raving about these throughout the meal! Dongjia spicy hotpot: 5/5Although we were expecting a hot pot of soup, this dish more than made up for that. It is a dry hotpot dish with meat, veggies, etc. all piled into one pot. This dish was a little on the saltier side, but the mala flavor was prominent and was a good, flavorful follow up to the skewers from before. Tasty pork appetizer: 3/5This dish ended up being deep fried coated pork served with a side of dried spices to dip the pork into. We kind of ordered this on a whim without knowing what to expect and was the dish we probably would've swapped out for something else. The quality of the dish was not bad, just wasn't as good compared to the first two dishes. They do give a lot of pork for an appetizer dish, so we were able to take some home. We noticed halfway throughout the meal that every single table ordered this one dish and after looking up other reviews found out it was something called guobaorou - will add this to try next time we come back :)”

“During my commute back from New Brunswick on April 1st, I stopped by White Rose Hamburgers for a meal, despite the day’s drizzle. As I arrived around 10:30 AM, the diner was barely busy. The parking lot had only a couple cars: If I had driven here then would have been ample space. From the outside, the place looked considerably plain, for a Manno-produced dining car (it was likely bricked with stucco)---the interior, in which clean stools and countertops lined the walls, was not much different, though there was a plethora of mid-late 1900s memorabilia for decoration. As soon I walked in, the two staff manning the counter and grill asked what I wanted; there were many regulars who already knew, though I wasn't one of them.I ordered a large coffee, Cali cheeseburger, and fries, which cost ~$15. I took a seat at the main counter (only 2 seats there), and only a couple minutes afterward was my meal ready. The coffee was standard, but the burger and fries are to die for---this burger is the type that melts beautifully. The meat synthesizes with the rest of the ingredients to create a harmonious sensation of flavor with each bite, equally juicy and savory in tandem with sour sweetness. The fries were especially crispy, with an audible crunch in each bite; their only downside was the amount of salt I put on them. Though pricy, it is impossible to go wrong with burger and fries at White Rose.”

“The confidence and care in their small business shows when you're a first timer in the coffee shop. They ask the right questions when it comes to the coffee or tea you're looking for. Very delicious and inviting coffee. It's seasonal coffee beans are always changing so make sure you're ready for a great new experience of coffee I miss the Ecuadorian papaya coffee they had. So good after it cooled down a bit”
“Multiple options of types, sizes and toppings for ice creams both soft serve and scoops. They handle the queue pretty well, the place is cash only. Soft serve was really good and the cookies and cream scoop was good as well. Nice for a post meal ice cream run..”

“First time coming here for lunch. Ordered the hunan fried rice-was a little spicy but tolerable 9.5/10. Japanese tofu sizzling plate-tofu was soft and flavorful 9/10. Sliced fish with chili sauce-soft fish, crunchy broccoli, nothing remarkable but was tasty nonetheless 8/10. Will definitely be coming back.”

“The Rueben sandwiches are to die for. They have a few options: pastrami-based, corn beef-based, both. So tasty.I imagine the rest of the sandwiches are great, too.Good small grocery store, with ice cream (including Ben and Jerry’s), fresh fruit and vegetables, toilet paper, milk, juice, and, of course, snacks.”
“It was a little tight fit due to all the bakery goods laid out in the tables, but overall, it was a great place. I would definitely buy more if they took credit cards!”
