“During my commute back from New Brunswick on April 1st, I stopped by White Rose Hamburgers for a meal, despite the day’s drizzle. As I arrived around 10:30 AM, the diner was barely busy. The parking lot had only a couple cars: If I had driven here then would have been ample space. From the outside, the place looked considerably plain, for a Manno-produced dining car (it was likely bricked with stucco)---the interior, in which clean stools and countertops lined the walls, was not much different, though there was a plethora of mid-late 1900s memorabilia for decoration. As soon I walked in, the two staff manning the counter and grill asked what I wanted; there were many regulars who already knew, though I wasn't one of them.I ordered a large coffee, Cali cheeseburger, and fries, which cost ~$15. I took a seat at the main counter (only 2 seats there), and only a couple minutes afterward was my meal ready. The coffee was standard, but the burger and fries are to die for---this burger is the type that melts beautifully. The meat synthesizes with the rest of the ingredients to create a harmonious sensation of flavor with each bite, equally juicy and savory in tandem with sour sweetness. The fries were especially crispy, with an audible crunch in each bite; their only downside was the amount of salt I put on them. Though pricy, it is impossible to go wrong with burger and fries at White Rose.“

We hired Clemente to cater my birthday based upon a great friend's recommendation... and my man did not disappoint!!!!! Catering - ask for the Pasta Genovese - your mind will be blown. His meatballs and gravy are outta hand. My friend's still talk about his food months later. Not only is Clemente great chef but he is a great person! “Stopped here for dinner before a show at the Starland Ballroom. Plenty of parking and a ton of tables. Has an old-school Italian feel to it. Huge menu with a lot of classic dishes. Served warm bread before the meal with the option of olive oil and butter. They had a peach sangria special that was excellent. I tried the lobster raviolis and was pleasantly surprised. These weren’t your typical store bought pre-frozen raviolis. No sir. Fresh made and stuffed with lobster. The chicken Murphy was enough for two people! Amazing. Rest assured, next time I’m at the Starland I will be stopping back here before the show.“

Parking is a challenge but that’s New Brunswick for you.“
“I had an overall wonderful experience at Colonial Diner. The food was better than your average diner and the atmosphere was very notable. I spoke to who I believe to be the manager there about the place and he pointed out the original floors and tiles in the building. The diner had a long bar stretched across the building with multiple TVs playing movies. The staff was very friendly and my order was taken and came very quickly. I showed up about a little over an hour before closing and the restaurant did not have many people in there. The parking lot was large and had many spots. I came on a Thursday night and the staff was very quick everything was done almost immediately after sitting down.“

“Pizza Margherita is The Best I’ve ever had in Jersey. Grilled Chicken is delicious. Salad is crisp and fresh. Cheesesteak hot freshly made exactly how I ordered it excellent flavor. “I had to stop by to write this review! I ordered the honey garlic and the honey buffalo chicken wings for the Super Bowl and boy I wasn’t disappointed!!! It was finger licking good and I was so surprised that we had no left overs and our guest was inquiring about this place because it was so good. The wings were cooked to perfection, not hard or burnt under the sauce just a nice crisp that made everything so enjoyable. The owner was super sweet and the round tray that she put everything in was very professional. I’ll definitely be coming back to try some more food on her menu along with the wings. “Went here on a Monday with my wife. The storefront is kind of tucked in behind another building so you can't see it from the road. Basically you have to plan to go there, rather than wander in aimlessly. The restaurant was not crowded, so we had a seat and were able to place our orders right away. The restaurant is clean with plenty of room to move about. I had an angus burger baha style and a side of Spanish rice and my wife got the angus burger as protein on top of a salad. The server brought our orders promptly to our table and commented that he had never seen someone order a burger baha style. Frankly, the flavors blended very well, in my opinion. The Spanish rice was delicious and came with little bits of chouriço. My wife enjoyed the freshness of the salad as well as the portion. Enough left over for a lunch. We will definitely be back.“
