Amazing culinary experience. The combination of flavors was artisanal. Staff is so friendly, food was off the charts delicious and fresh. This is a hidden gem and a must visit! BYOB.

We have been to Fresh a number of times, they consistently have excellent food and the staff is great. The atmosphere is relaxed, maybe a little loud, but that is because everyone is having a great time. I know we always have a great time there, we will continue going.

We had an octopus and a shrimp appetizer which were amazing. For dinner we each had specials. A cod and clam dish with a very well developed tomato based broth and a sweet chili glazed pork chop (recommended medium) with silky potatoes and charred carrots and a soy sauce based plate sauce. I thought the medium was a bit towards rare for my liking in the very center but was delicious otherwise. We went for an anniversary, and a rowdy table of 8 with some hearing issues made for a less than stellar atmosphere. Other diners rolling eyes or choosing outdoor seating made it known it wasn't just us, but all other times it's great date night atmosphere. The have a perfect bruchetta when you are seated, neither too crunchy nor too soggy. The bread has a scent of rosemary without being overpowering. We've been here several times, including an inner courtyard area which was an amazing oasis in covid times. We'll definitely be back again.

I don't know why there isn't a line out the door of this place, as it is a gem of local place right downtown Highlands. A very simple menu with delicious seafood options and always a couple of specials. The service is very customizable, as in they are willing to make changes to the menu to accommodate. That was important to my wife and I who are both Vegans, which eliminates a lot of the menu, however holding goat cheese on a salad, or entree isn't a problem. My daughter and BF both had seafood dishes which looked and smelled delicious, and backed by many fine compliments from both of them.Dietary restrictions: As stated, if you ask, then they can try their best to accommodate your requests. Vegan and Italian don't always mesh together well, but they will try.

Very good service and food, surprised that so many tables were empty. We had grilled salmon, swordfish piccata w/ risotto, crab cake appetizer, and homemade carrot cake. All were delicious! Will definitely return for dinner in the future.Dietary restrictions: They did let us know there were nuts in the carrot cake.Parking: Found a spot on the street right in front of the restaurant, but it was a bit early for dinner.Kid-friendliness: Would not recommend to bring kids.

Very good food and great service. They let you take your time and they don't rush you out the door. BYOB, which is nice since it keeps the price down. We always have a good time coming here.

Great little restaurant at the Highlands. The place felt more like a private supper club than a restaurant. It IS small and intimate and the wait staff is highly attentive. Food was fabulous. Highly recommend the short rib - best I've had. The tiramisu, again, probably among the best I've had in a very long time.

Intimate space with great food and excellent service! We were a party of four for dinner on a Friday night. Called ahead for 6:30, our party arrived 20mins late due to traffics but they were able to accommodate us. Mike was amazing from start to finish, checking in and making sure we had what we needed. Now the food! The appetizer, grilled octopus, clams(we ordered two because it was that good), jumbo lump crab cakes(the best we have ever had!!) and baby arugula salad. The main, we ordered Pan Seared Sea Scallop and Misoyaki New England Cod. Everything was delicious! We all agreed that everything was amazing and FRESH! We will definitely be back! Oh we forgot it was byob but there is a liquor store two blocks down.

If I could leave 10 stars I would! The food was impeccable, not to mention the service - we were seated very quickly and were consistently checked in on. The servers were extremely accommodating and the place itself was super comfortable and nice. We sat outside and it was just so beautiful. If you are dining in Highlands - this is the place to be!!!

Loved this place. We will definitely be back. Everything was delicious and service was great. Bring your own alcohol. Indoor area is small; we got a last min early reservation outside which was hot but still lovely. Faves:- complementary bruchetta- burrata app- shrimp app (dip bread in that sauce)- short ribs- scallops
