“Under the title “Never judge a book by it’s cover”, the Hightstown Diner delivers in a big way. I’ll admit I headed here due to a Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives episode however that “chapter ” of the Hightstown is closed. Open is this new incarnation which does not disappoint.I ordered the Greek Salad and enjoyed it thoroughly. The vegetables were fresh and flavorful. The olives magnificent, the Feta was so fresh I wondered if it was house-made, the dressing sublime. Crisply toasted Pita triangles adorned the plate for a great contrast and beautiful presentation. The price could not have been fairer, the service was friendly and quick.Vegetarian options: Not a “vegan/vegetarian” menu, however the kitchen stocks a great assortment of fresh vegetables. More options to me than most.”
“My husband and I had a great time checking this place out (we traveled from Indiana). It's a nice little brewery with a lot of different brews that we enjoyed sampling while there. Even better that our last name is Hight and there was merchandise that we were able to buy with the name on it. I definitely recommend checking this place out if you're visiting Hightstown.”

“Twice I’ve ordered food from here for takeout and didn’t get any utensils or napkins. Their food is MESSY so you can’t eat this without some backup. I wasn’t born in the dark ages. Why would I get rice and beans with no way of eating it or cleaning up after myself? The food itself is fine but stock up before you go. Make your 2024 better: TacoRita is out, Taco Bell is in.”

“Garden State Omelet - w a small salad and diced potatoes! The side dip of a homemade hot sauce so good you want this to jazz up everything you eat. So much on this plate that I had to take half home for dinner! Oh and the lemon and lavender scone that I had as a morning appetizer was the last one. He baked two more for me to take home to the family Service and knowledge 5 Food was 5 BYOB”

“Stopped by for lunch and ordered the shrimp tacos that were on special to find out this place serves authentic and excellent food. The pico de gallo was freshly made and the guac was equally good. I recommend giving them a try when you’re near or in town.”

“The food is really good they have a standard gastropub type menu and then a seasonal menu on rotation the chef mixes up. Very large bar area that can get quite busy. Many craft beers on tap and they offer flights. There are tvs in the bar area for sports and a space for live music. Parking is adjacent to the restaurant never had an issue finding a spot. In the summer there is a larger outdoor seating area”

“Mannino’s is the best, My family is so thrilled we came across them. They have the best Grandma pie. Yesterday we ordered a sausage , onion and roasted pepper pie, it was amazing. This is the best pizzeria in the area. I didn’t think anyone here could make a fantastic pie, but they did. This will definitely be our go to place, no others in the area come close. Keep maki g your delicious food”

“They have good food but not many servers in a busy restaurant. So the service isn’t up to par and the one waitress would seem angry when you would ask her for ”

“We split the beef stew entree and two tamales. The entree came with rice and beans and three plantain pieces. The beef was incredibly tender, clearly had been stewed all day in the delicious sauce. Very generous portions - one entree was plenty for the two of us. We brought it to the Old Hights Brewery to enjoy with their beer. Sooooooooooo good!!!”

“Such a cute little shop and filled with so many goodies.Chelsea makes such great pies and little treats. I've never had pie crust as good as hers. Flaky and crunchy. I wish I could just buy it.? The interior of the shop is adorable. And she has such a cool selection of drinks as well as treats. You never know what you're going to get that day and it might be your new favorite thing. Her salted honey, lavender pie and blueberry pie have to be my favorites! If you can't make it over to the shop you're sure to find some of her delicious pies and quiches at the baker's Grove in Shrewsbury! Everything is fresh. You can also sometimes get sandwiches. Everything she does is thought out and she puts a little bit of love in each goodie Kid-friendliness: This is a business that is open to all kinds of people. For a lot of people this is where they bring their kids for a nice little treat knowing it's not going to be packed full of harmful ingredients.Wheelchair accessibility: There's a ramp.”

“I got a vanilla latte and loved it. This is my new favorite coffee place in the area. Latte was smooth and not at all bitter. They have some baked goods that I'll have to try next time. Guy working here made a design on top which was a nice touch. I definitely recommend coming here and everything seemed well priced.”

“Had an unforgettable experience at this place. Tried appam, idiyappam, porotta, kochi special chicken curry, chemmeen ularthiyathu, mango lassi, butter milk. Everything was so good and took me back to kerala. I was so content after the meals and thanks to everyone there for being so welcoming and homely. Special thanks to Chef Mathew who gave pazham pori and payasam as complimentary dessert. It was heavenly. Sadly I don't have even one photo but cannot recommend this place enough specially for mallus.”
