Under the title “Never judge a book by it’s cover”, the Hightstown Diner delivers in a big way. I’ll admit I headed here due to a Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives episode however that “chapter ” of the Hightstown is closed. Open is this new incarnation which does not disappoint.I ordered the Greek Salad and enjoyed it thoroughly. The vegetables were fresh and flavorful. The olives magnificent, the Feta was so fresh I wondered if it was house-made, the dressing sublime. Crisply toasted Pita triangles adorned the plate for a great contrast and beautiful presentation.The price could not have been fairer, the service was friendly and quick.Vegetarian options: Not a “vegan/vegetarian” menu, however the kitchen stocks a great assortment of fresh vegetables. More options to me than most.

SO DISAPPOINTING. Went here tonight and ordered dinner. Got our salads right away. Then waited 45 minutes and our entree never came. Waitress came and said our order got messed up. We walked out and will never go back.

We have not been to this diner in many, many years and when we got there we really liked the atmosphere. Then when I ordered my dinner, they were charging me for substituting potatoes for a vegetable but that was not too bad. Then as we are eating, one of the staff starting washing the floor with bleach and it gave off a terrible terrible odor and we had to leave because I was getting really sick. I almost vomited. This message is for the manager. You should not let your staff ever do this. We eat out 3 - 4 times a week and have never seen this. The landing of the steps were even wet from washing them. It took about an hour to feel better.

Needed a reviver on a road trip, asked Siri to find me a coffee and ended up here. Great work Siri!Excellent service, attentive, friendly, enthusiastic. Had a couple of coffees and a blueberry muffin, the coffee was good but, the muffin was great. Clearly baked fresh on site with love.I wish we hadn’t eaten in Philly, the food here looks freaky good!Would visit again without hesitation. Thank you.

we came here for lunch. We had heard a lot of great things, but our service wasn’t as great. Food was alright, but my husbands burger was cooked well down instead of medium rare like he ordered. So three stars is good.
