5 Best Craft Breweries near Hillsborough

Flounder Brewing Co., LLC Brewery •
2 Clerico Ln Building 4, Hillsborough

“My husband and I love Flounder! We live about 10 minutes away and enjoy visiting year-round. There is a delicious selection of unique beers and some Flounder-brewed sodas, which is great for my NA husband. We love playing the many board games, listening to the great live bands, chatting with the regulars (everyone is so nice), and generally enjoying the rustic chic atmosphere. In the warmer months, Carriage House Farm usually hosts a food truck so you can enjoy fresh food at the brewery. Definitely recommend!“

“This brewery was highly recommended. I am glad I finally had time to stop by.It definitely is a fun place to go. I was suppose how welcoming it was. The decor was lovely. See the attached pictures. I walked straight to the bar and ordered a coffee and coconut stout. It was delicious.I sat back and enjoyed the scene. Bartenders were very friendly. I bought beers to enjoy at home. Easy pick at the rear of the brewery. I could see myself come back next year!“

READINGTON BREWERY Brewery • $
937 US-202 S, Neshanic Station - 5.93 miles

“Have been here a few times, most recently for a large group gathering & their Oktoberfest. They have some unique beers and even a hard kombucha-tea. When the weather is warm, their outdoor area is huge and a great spot to hang out. The inside can get packed quick during prime times. The brewery does a lot within the community.“

Troon Brewing Brewery • $$
130 Hopewell-Rocky Hill Rd #5, Hopewell - 9.52 miles

“If you find their beer, buy it. Even styles I'm typically not a fan of are good. Releases are sporadic and hard to get, but typically available on draught next door. My only complaint would be that I wish availability of their brews was better“

“Was there on a Saturday night on the evening of Somerville's holiday parade - the place was packed! Beer was decent and the food was quite good. Service was on the slow side, but not outrageously so - actually reasonable in view of the crowd they were serving. It was pretty loud and uncomfortable for conversation. Although they were packed, I think it was more due to the acoustics.“
