A new restaurant in our bedroom community of Hillsborough, NJ, Mama Fanti is a place you don't want to miss. We went around 6:00 on a Friday night and were seated even though we didn't have a reservation. We found the food VERY flavorful! I really liked the sauces which must have some "secret" ingredients because they tasted better than what I have grown used to. We had a stuffed zucchini appetizer, three mains, a salad and a dessert for around $150.The salad was plenty for sharing....read full review
Food and service are excellent. Prices are a little higher than most Italian restaurants, but the quality is better. Pasta was perfect al dente. Scallops were cooked just right. Risotto was excellent, but maybe a little runny. The atmosphere could be a little more relaxed. Lights could be dimmed a bit for dinner. Will definitely go back.
