“I'm late to the party but I'm glad I've arrived. Delicious, special, creative and beautifully made food in a gorgeous space with great energy and people who gladly serve what they proudly make. Not your typical Thai, and thank goodness for that. Pad Thai is the best I've ever had. The shrimp entree is also amazing. The fried rice with crab is incredible. And even if you don't think you have room, the pandan dessert is incredible and will be on your mind for weeks after. If you're like me tho, you'll go back the following week and have it again.“

“Our first time going to the Totowa location (met up with friends for lunch). Staff was very friendly and helpful - we decided to eat outside and they brought the food to us quickly. We had the tacos, regular bowl with carnitas and fajita bowl with steak and pina-mango drink. Food was very tasty and freshly made. Will come back to try El Pastor. Definitely recommend Sombrero Tacoria.“

“Honestly, the BEST Mexican food I have had in ages (and I've had a lot)! Nachos, quesadillas, Italian nachos, chips/guac - all DELICIOUS. I highly recommend this place - I have only had it delivered, so can't speak to the atmosphere, but when delicious food comes delivered in a bag that has a handwritten note saying "Enjoy, LK!" you KNOW they have to be nice people!! So happy to have them local!!“

“5/6/24We've been going to Mexico Restaurant for years because they had the unusual meats. But I just thought I would try Yelp and Google to see if there are other taqueria around.We're happy to try Taqueria Los Amigos V.M. and it was a good choice.They remind me of the Taqueria we went to in San Diego, where you make a line for the taco meat you want. And you can get as many you want. Los Amigos was not as busy, so we just went from one section to the next very quickly.Hubby misunderstood and got 2 different meats. I didn't even think about it and got 1 each LOL4 tacos for $10. They were stuffed, not slim like taco bell tacos.Cuerito - so sticky and goodTripa - this was goodCarnita - pretty plain and had to use green salsa to give it flavorAl Pastor - get a slice of pineapple and flavorfulLonganiza - it was ok. “This is a quiet unassuming spot. It's great for takeout and has delicious, hearty soups. They have a pretty good, well stocked selection. Their sandwiches are amazing and the prices are reasonable. “I had beef, pork and tongue tacos. They were all great. Be forewarned that the little chili pepper and the green hot sauce are really hot. The prices are reasonable. You get four tacos to an order. It comes with little side of radish and cucumber. Onions and cilantro is already on the tacos. This is a Taco Truck and I think there was only two people in there. The guy taking the order and the cook so the service was a little slow especially with all the phone and online orders coming in. I waited approximately 15 minutes for my three orders of tacos. I wish it could be quicker but I think it's reasonable. I like the other taco truck that is in this neighborhood a little bit better, just very slightly period but this could be attributed to just familiarity perhaps. I'm excited to try a few other items on the menu in the near future.“

“Place is not bad. First time we went was for my wife's birthday. We were excited for Birria tacos. The consome was not bad. My wife enjoyed it. Taco shells are crispy and cheese was just the right amount. Meat was good portion. The place is very small. Its my only complaint. The waitress is good but there's only one in the place so if it's busy it's hard for her to tend to every table but she tries her best. They should add ground beef as part of their meat options. I would recommend this place if you're in a mood for some good tacos.“

Everything sounded so good, so it was hard to choose just a few dishes.We were very happy with our choices. Everything was delicious!- Shrimp burger - I already knew that the texture would be like a patty consistency of minced shrimp, but my friends were surprised because they were expecting whole shrimp pieces in the burger. I was a fan of the dill sauce on it, but if you don't like dill, maybe ask for it on the side? The dill taste and smell is strong, which goes perfectly with the shrimp burger.- Empanada Sampler - I wish I remembered what flavors were included in this, but everything was super good.- Mofongo Supreme - The mofongo was delicious and it came with pieces of cheese, shrimp, and steak. Definitely need to go back to try the lobster mac and cheese that everyone seems to be raving about and try their other dishes, as well, which all sound delicious.Tips: - There is plenty of street parking nearby and even a municipal parking lot to the left of the restaurant (if you are facing the restaurant).- It seems like a lot of people do take-out so that is an option, too.- We went on a Saturday night and left around 8:30 and they were supposed to be opened until 11:00, but they closed early for a private event, so maybe you should call ahead to make sure that they are open for guests or pick-up. Someone stopped by and was disappointed that they were closed early.“

We had the seafood soup, the virgin tacos( a true hit) the burritos( tortillas de harina) the fish filete came w rice and black beans and salad natural juices and all was simply great. “Went back to Doghouse after a long hiatus and was pleasantly surprised that nothing changed except the live Jazz music on Thursday nights! Very cool! Food was the usual good greasy type except HUGE portions! My cheesesteak was large and tasty as well as my girl's grilled chicken sandwich... def get your moneys worth! Service was spotty but acceptable but then again it's a hometown pub, what do you expect? Stop in on Thursday nights for the live Jazz, saves a trip into the city!!“

Initially, I was surprised on how small the place was but it was crowded (both tables were occupied and there was a line). Decided on getting two slices of pizza (shrimp and then cheese) and a drink.
