Don’t know why you canceled my ordered after waiting for 1/2 hour but oh well not trying againGrubHub accepted my order and took my money immediately. Someone (GrubHub or you) Canceled my order 1/2 hour later and now I have to wait 5 business days to be refunded. Not a good business model

Lobster rolls are $20-36 are aren’t really that good.

Ridiculously expensive and not worth the price. The bread was soggy and the lobster was not abundant. Will not be coming back

Such good food! The loaded lobster fries are my favorite but you have to try the BK roll - the signature sauce is so good. I mean, everything we got was great - even down to the seasoned French fries. We were lucky enough to meet the owner, who is so nice and welcoming. Thankfully, they're opening another spot closer to home for us so we won't have to come so far for good lobster rolls. What a hidden gem that I'm so glad we found! Check them out!

Just not good lobster wasn't great small portions. Shrimp was average. Overall too expensive and a disappointment

This is an immediate NO from me The lobster is all shredded as many ppl have mentioned. And as someone else has mentioned, it tastes like there is langoustine in it not lobster. (You know when you go to an all inclusive and they say "lobster included" then get to the restaurant to realize they are serving langoustine..this is what's happening here) also nothing wrong with langoustine but it isn't lobster. If you can get to Red Hook lobster in BROOKLYN, it's worth the trip. Full claw meat and all for much less. I don't need fries, I need a decent lobster roll. This place won't last for much longer

I really never write reviews, but this was so disappointing. I read mixed few reviews on this place but went anyway. Greasy smelling "dive" with no outdoor seating. Like the other reviewer said for the most part the food it looks and tastes like imitation lobster.

first time here and expected a bit more but was satisfied with my dish! was there in a Saturday night and thought it would be busy but we were only ones there for pick up... ordered the Mac and cheese which was a great, my roll was $25 which was small and tasted good but I knew though there would be more flavor for I got the BK lobster signature sauce.... Husband got the loaded fries and enjoyed them. We also ordered wings which was a big no no(one wing had a feather) the crunch showed they were old wings and not tasty! the corn didn't taste good for some reason. would come back if I'm in the neighborhood for Mac and cheese but other than that wouldn't really make the drive for it!

Went here with my boyfriend and got two rolls (one fried one not) and a small lobster mac and cheese! The roles were just under $30 each. The BK sauce is delicious, the mac and cheese is OK (felt like more of a creamy pasta than a mac and cheese). The rolls were definitely the star and we loved both! The fries have what I think is Old Bay on them and come with the meal but they didn’t have much flavor. The inside is really tiny and smells strongly of fried food — there were three small tables, so not much seating either. Definitely seems like a great place to grab food from and eat somewhere else. I’d definitely order a lobster roll from here again!

I came to BK Lobster (now City Lobster) today for a rare weeknight dinner using a Gilt City voucher. To keep it short, the food was good but the experience of using my voucher here was a disaster. I had purchased a voucher which was $50 for $80 value. The voucher expired in November, but the value ($50) is good for five years past the date of expiration. If you're a restaurant working with Gilt, it's really important that you be versed in their policies. When in came with a friend today, I told the person at the desk (it was a one man show- more on that later) that I had a Gilt city voucher. He confirmed the voucher number and told me "you have 80 dollars you can spend." Puzzled, I said "Isn't it 50?" He reassures me it's 80 dollars and even encourages me to add more items when my balance is short of $80 dollars. When I'm about to sit down to eat, he says he spoke to his boss and the voucher is a no go because it's expired. This is all happening in front of my friend, so I'm clearly embarrassed. Because I had anticipated this might be an issue with the restaurant, I even called Gilt to confirm in advance. I had to call Gilt customer service again at the restaurant to confirm the value is still valid and I then canceled the extra food he told me I could add to my order. That was extremely frustrating. But once that was resolved, I was able to enjoy my meal. Despite the headache of applying my voucher, the guy working at the restaurant was actually a nice guy. He apologized to us and he let me bring my dog inside with me while we ate (i originally thought they had outdoor seating from the photos but there weren't any chairs out today). He appeared to be the only one working today, taking the orders and preparing them himself. The restaurant itself was quiet and pretty small, maybe only about 3 tables, but it seems like they get takeout orders. My friend and I settled on the Connecticut lobster rolls and got a side of lobster Mac n cheese. The lobster rolls each come with salad or fries. The rolls come with a good amount of meat and they're seasoned well. The fries are also dusted with some kind of seasoning (maybe Cajun?) I thought about trying one of their more creative sandwiches but they didn't sound as appetizing to me. Italian dressing on a lobster roll? I'll pass.. The lobster Mac and cheese was good and very reasonably priced (only 10 dollars for that container). Overall, even though the Gilt ordeal was ridiculous, I would still give them four stars because the food is good, but I don't think I would go out of my way to visit.

Underwhelming lobster sandwich that wasn't up to any standards of a lobster roll. Didn't use fresh lobster. Too small. Fries were ok but doused with dome orange seasoning. I've been in the area long enough doing real estate and we run pools on which businesses will make it for a few years snd which won't. This one doesn't have a shot in the world to make it.

Read this before spending money at this BK Lobster establishment.I eat seafood often and lobsters are one of my go to seafood. My husband and I were absolutely excited to treat ourselves to a lobster roll this weekend.Pros:1. Restaurant looks very trendy and classy on the outside.2. Wait time was average, despite only having one cook.3. Pricing is standard- pricy as expected because you are paying for lobster meat (or so you think. Keep reading to find out what I mean)Cons:1. Public street parking is nearly impossible on a Saturday, around 2pm. Parking in general is tough in Hoboken, NJ. So keep this in mind when driving to the area. We circled the area for almost 10 mins for a parking spot. No public parking lots as this is a residential area.2. Unwelcoming-No greeting upon entering restaurant. The chef (named Moe) is also the cashier, and he looked flustered. Now was cooking without a face mask and we didn’t see a glove change as he transitioned between the cash register and kitchen. Definitely a red flag since we paid in cash, not sanitary.3. BEWARE!! Restaurant swaps out lobster meat for more inexpensive substitutes in their dishes. Base on my order today, our lobster selections were really 90% langostino and 10% real lobster. Langostino is a proper crustacean, like a crayfish, but definitely not lobster with pristine white, soft and tender textures.4. Mislabeling dishes. This ratio of lobster to langostino means the name of their rolls should either be called a langostino roll, or a seafood roll. And the restaurant itself should be called BK “FAUX” Lobster.5. Hidden charges. We didn’t realized we were overcharged until reviewing the reciept after we left the restaurant. The Crown Heights Fried Lobster Roll showed $22 on the menu, but we were charged $25.96, pre-tax. The Bed Stuy Biggie Roll showed $28 on the menu, but we were charged $29.12, pre-tax. Finally, the Lobster Mac & Cheese showed ñ showed $15 on the menu, but was charged $15.60. Total was a little over $70, for langostino meat.6. The Bed Stuy Biggie was small, not really a big roll at all. No lobster claws in the roll as described on the menu. Brioche was soggy.Overall, ABSOLUTELY or worth the money. Food is not authentic with lobster chunks, or tasty to justify for the price.

For $30, I barely got any lobster. It didn't taste great either. Won't be coming back.
