I love the food here, yummy and interesting rolls but the service I received las time was horrendous. The chubby Hispanic woman with wavy longer hair ruined the whole night with her stank face, horrible attitude. She forgot to put an order in for a jalepeno salmon roll and never came back to the table for 30 minutes and I went around asking the waiters for her and eventually put in a order with a random waiter in the back. I guess I got the name wrong bc there’s a different roll salmon jalepeno. When I told my waiter, when I eventually saw her 45 minutes later with my role, she gave me such an attitude and embarrassed me in front of my friend. She said “they asked you 100 times and you still got the order wrong.” Who uses sarcasm with the paying customer?? This fat woman was so nasty and had a horrible disposition. I will never come back just because of her and I hope the manager sees this and fires her. She’s not an asset to your business and she can’t even wait tables.

We were visiting Hoboken for the first time yesterday and went to the Sushi Lounge for dinner. We did make a reservation in advance, which was good since the restaurant was packed! They had a dj playing music upstairs and since there were lots of people it was very loud and hard to hear each other. We started with the pork dumplings for an appetizer and they were very tasty! I personally ordered 3 sushi rolls; avocado roll, Philadelphia roll, and the spicy shrimp roll. All of the rolls were extremely flavorful and had fresh ingredients. We really enjoyed the food here and will be back if we are in Hoboken again!

The sushi here is average; I find it bizarre that for a sushi dinner platter, I was forced to order strictly one type of fish--what's the fun in that? The ambiance is unappealing, with ambiguous thumping muzak and horrible flourescent lighting. The bartender was nice and attentive; the only highlight.Good sushi isn't easy to come by in Hoboken and JC; alas, this ain't it.

The food was delicious. We really enjoyed the dishes. The soups were some of the best we’ve eaten. The atmosphere was nice but it was a little too dark for us and there was a tv on playing sport which felt really out of sync with the overall feel.

Miso soup was cold and not much flavor, house salad was okay and coconut fried shrimp was not what I expected. We also ordered the beef hibachi and the meat did not taste good, we sent the hibachi back. Sunita was great but it wasn’t her fault.

Quality food, good service, go-to sushi place in Hoboken

Food is overpriced and every time I’ve gone (it’s now been at least six or seven times), the bartender is engaged in deep conversation with the same 3-4 patrons at the bar who low-key flirt with her. It’s odd.Glad there’s now a better sushi option in town.

Our favorite sushi restaurant in Hoboken. The food is excellent and well-priced. The atmosphere is awesome. The drinks are delicious. Last time I was there the owner came over and hung for a little bit. Love to support down to earth business owners.

I usually don't leave reviews for many places but this restaurant has one of the best dishes. I had been looking for a good Japanese restaurant for a while to get decent rolls and teriyaki chicken and I found it! I'm a picky person with chicken and this one didn't disappoint. The rolls also were fresh and the wasabi didn't taste artificial like in other places I've tried. I also think the price is fair for the quality and quantity. Can't wait to go back, I just had some and I already want more.

It was decent sushi. More on the pricy side but ingredients are fairly fresh.
