Had the pleasure of meeting the chef, Sadie and the gen. Manager Melanie, they could not have been more accommodating. I highly recommend, parking might be hard to find. I will return and soon, they are going to offer the foo gra in puff pastry, I go just for that. I found it reasonably priced. My wife enjoyed her 70th birthday meal as much as I did.”

We were a fairly larger group than standard party size. Some dished were small and some dim sum served with small quantities, like 3 or 4. Those who order for the large group, should give suggestion to order multiple orders for the same dish. So, each one in the group can have at least one.”

Well, look no more for me. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. Great rustic look, comfy seating with back support, loads of outlets for laptops, and the second-floor space are super cute and cozy too. Oh and there's a small little outside area that's pretty cool as well. Shaquille (hope I spelled it right) was AMAZING! So down-to-earth, friendly, polite, and easy to talk to. She made me the Tumeric latte for me and I all but licked the cup clean. I had the hummus & cucumber on sourdough toast and it was divine. Also, a great option for vegans. I totally recommend this place if you have similar needs or just want to hang out with some friends. I will surely be going back.”

The barister (coffee bar tender) took me on a beautiful adventure in a flight sampling of their cold brews. I've tasted coffee all over the US and a bit internationally and I've never tasted anything like this! (Apparently because I've never been to Japan) The Kyoto Japanese cold brew is a trip for your tastebuds. First a punch in the face then softly floral, herby, and a little funky with a sweet finish.

I had come for the masala chai which had been highly recommended and, let me tell you, I was not disappointed! DELICIOUS!

I was searching for breakfast when I walked in... and they do have muffins and pastries, but I opted for the City Hall roastbeef sandwich. Oh my was she a beauty! And yummy!

“Great Food, Great Service Great Atmosphere. So we were bummed when we saw they closed the original location because how much we loved the place. We were relieved when they announced they were opening up in a much more appropriate and highly upgraded venue. This was perfect timing for us to celebrate our 9 year anniversary here. Upon arriving the inside captures the comfort and style of the Livingston location and then improves upon it with the beautiful outside seating area. Now onto the food which is just as good if not better than the original location im glad to see the quality has remained consistent. My steak was cooked to perfection and my wifes pasta dish was packed with quality flavor. The drink menu was definitely brought to the next level as well everything seemed like it was fine tuned and everything we tried was on point and had its own unique delicious flavor profile. Andy behind the bar was very knowledgeable and an absolute pleasure to talk to about the different cocktails. For dessert we shared the tiramisu which was great it wasn't youre traditional kind but we loved the spin they put on it with the cake and ice-cream. Lastly for service Jonathan took amazing care of us and made our special day very memorable along with the rest of the staff. Everyone that came by the table was professional and had a smile on their face. They all seemed happy and took pride in their work which was nice to see. All are delicious and I can't wait to return. The pizza is the best I've ever had - crispy but still foldable thin crust, flavorful sauce, and top quality mozzarella and EVOO. My waiter was kind and attentive, who informed me that Tino still comes in and does things like weeding the plants. He also said that they are terrific employers. Not many places today hit all the check marks, but Tino's hits it out of the ballpark.”

“The bakery truly feels as antique as its name. Seems to recently have been taken over by new management, we’re doing exactly the same thing as ever. The value is off the charts here: get the prosciutto and fresh mozzarella sandwich, and the amount of prosciutto you’ll get on that one sandwich would cost you triple the price at a fancy deli elsewhere. Speaking of, fresh mozzarella is a specialty, they make it in house and makes for a fantastic sandwiches. The bread is very soft, old-school Italian style. But then there are stuffed breads, like the olive stuffed loaf, which is like focaccia in rounded form. Just tops.”

The space itself is small and not very welcoming to all customers. Adding a staircase and a small rooftop terrace could make it a nicer spot for families to hang out. In all the food is great to try. “Bottom line: 5 stars all the way! If we were local, we would be regulars. Will visit again when we are in the area!! We visited May 9th after a 10 hour drive. We came across this restaurant on the GPS and decided to stop in for breakfast before continuing our trip. I am so glad we did! It was just what we needed to continue on. Not only were the food and drinks delicious but the customer service was top tier! I wish we got the name of the individual who served us. I believe she was the owner. She took time to speak with us, made suggestions on what we could order (my husband loved the big Johnston breakfast), engaged with my toddler with kindness and playfulness which was so helpful after a long drive. We were so grateful for her. The service was above and beyond. She even helped us with parking suggestion which was confusing for us as we were out of town. Loved how she engaged with the other customers and her regulars. You could definitely tell that the customer service we experienced was not a one-off experience. “The staff is so welcoming and friendly. Upon my second visit to the cafe, the baristas recognized me and welcomed me back! They were very kind to recommend some pastries and drinks. The chef was also very kind when I interacted with him in the dining room while he was running food. The space is great—four booth and chair two tops, plus four window counter seats and two two tops outside on the sidewalk. Very popular place with a lot of foot traffic. The iced mocha is great, as is the latte. Looking forward to trying more specialty drinks. They let my bring my dog in while I was ordering. The next day, I brought my computer to write for a bit and ordered brunch. Nice neighborhood spot!!”

I ordered the Jalapeno Smash burger, which was juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right — easily one of the better burgers I've had recently. I also got the chatpata wings which were crispy, fresh, and full of flavor too. I got the Masala Fries which were so crispy and tasty. All the dishes really stood out and made the visit memorable. Would definitely visit again.”
