Ordered pho and pork chop rice for COVID takeout. I wasn't expecting anything extraordinary, but was a kinda disappointed. Pho was ok at best - could've done better on the broth flavoring. The pork chop had the texture of jerky and was only charred around the edges with an almost gray colored middle. The biggest disappointment. I don't expect much interaction from picking up takeout, but it seemed pretty cold.

It's a proven fact: pho always tastes better on steamy summer evenings. Craving Vietnamese on a Saturday night, I wasn't disappointed: Ai Pho delivers the goods with a menu of staples (pho, vermicelli, rice dishes). Don't look for any eccentric flair; this tiny spot is sticks to the basics and does it well.I did a takeout order for summer rolls and "xe lura" (special) pho. The summer rolls were wrapped well and tasted bright and fresh, but were heavy on the lettuce. The peanut dipping sauce was on point. The pho was one of the better bowls of broth I've had: rich flavour that holds up to the addition of chili sauce and hoisin. In addition to rice noodles (thinner than expected), this bowl came with flank, eye of round, tendon, tripe, and meatball. Definitely worth a repeat stop

The pho is awesome, and they're BYOB! What more do you need...I got their vermicelli once, and it wasn't the best. But if you come here for the pho, you definitely won't be sorry! Enjoy :)

Quality and tasty food for a very good price. My family and I always enjoy eating here. We love the food and the services. They're also very speedy and efficient with their online orders. You won't be disappointed!

They accept your order but refuse to deliver it to you. They then force you to deal with Grubhub to rectify, who then tells you "they can't get through to the restaurant". Great service. Sarcasm. Most disgusting business I've ever dealt with.

Tasted good but the amount of veggies in our veggie pho and veggie noodle soup was really less. 2 pieces of tofu and a single slice of mushroom, just a lot of napa cabbage.

They were always lacking cucumbers, so I only had tasteless tomatoes in my rice. The fried rice is okay but greasy.

I'm perplexed how this place has great reviews. I ordered take-out (COVID) and my food was soooo "bleh". My summer rolls had no flavor. It was basically a wrap of rice and lettuce. My vermicelli dish also had no flavor, shrimp was clearly not fresh. Even the fish sauce tasted like water. I gave this place a shot, but I wouldn't ever get their food again.

I ordered Hue’s beef noodle soup for delivery, absolutely delicious! Very flavorful broth and the beef is tender with a good spicyness. I’ll be sure to order from here again whenever I crave pho.

We always order the steak and tendon pho, rolled beef vermicelli lettuce wrap, and pork with spring rolls vermicelli bowl. So yummy and filling! Can definitely stretch the 3 items into 2 large meals for 2 people with an additional item like the crepe (appetizer)!

I was highly disappointed. I had a lot of hope, but the food lacked flavor. The pork chop was paper thin. The spring rolls tasted like iceberg lettuce only. Waste of $30. Also the Pho had a long hair in it. I didn't even want to call to complain. The meat in the Pho did not break down and was chewy. Almost like a roast beef cold-cut. I hate leaving reviews like this, I was very disappointed.

Fantastic people and delicious food. Best Vietnamese food in the area and very cheap for how good it is.

March 15, 2020, was insane as it gets. Sickness, death, uncertainty, toilet paper shortages, and yet it was a sunny day with Jersey City people walking around everywhere, some more cautious than others on the new guidelines. Hesitant about trains, I went on an epic JC walk that now feels like the end of an era. On the last day when it was legal to sit in a restaurant (what the hell?!!!) I made my first visit it to Ai Pho. Hopefully at some point in the future March 15 won't seem as meaningful. I got the triple deluxe: "Grilled marinated pork chop with shredded pork skin and pork with steamed meat patty." The pork chop was superb. During the week I returned. Walking more than a mile during the new era wasn't as enjoyable, but the spicy beef entree (not sure of the name right now) and the rice crepe appetizer were great. I'm thankful for the fast and friendly service, and for the fact that they were even open during these times.

Would have given 4 starrs but they didnt have cilantro.....I've never been to a vietnamese restaurant that doesn't have it and I usually get extra cilantro in my pho :(

This is my new favorite pho spot - I came once it's pretty no frills inside but it's byob and service staff was nice. I normally do uber eats and the broth is just perfection. Highly recommend if you are looking for good pho!
