This is one of my fav take out restaurants ..the traditional empanadas are perfect , and the funky ones are imaginative and delicious. Warning, hot sauce is HOT.The stuff is always super friendly, and the smallish eating area is clean and welcoming.Kid-friendliness: It’s not chuck-e-cheese, but kids would like it.

Took a little long to make 2 empanadas. Saw a rat run across the restaurant, spooking me half to death. I would think twice about getting food here, not sure how they properly clean the kitchen. Surely not enough for there to be a big rat.

The owner and ladies behind the counter are also all really nice.My recommendations: yellow rice, ALL the empanadas, plaintains, & tres leches!

The beef and cheese empanadas are delicious. I sometimes get a mix-and-match of the other ones, but beef and cheese is always the best, by far. For pickup, order in advance if you can. Otherwise, be prepared to wait up to 20 minutes. The atmosphere is lacking, so don't plan on eating there if you can help it. It's not kid-friendly, either. Otherwise, this is a solid spot for empanadas.
