“Finally visited this neighborhood restaurant last night and it was nicely decorated for Valentine’s Day and they gave all female diners a long stemmed rose. As they were busy, service was slow, which is understandable under the circumstances. The food was very fresh and the eggplant with tomato, creamy hummus, lamb chops and chicken shish were very good, but some dishes were not as flavorful as described by other reviewers and in my experience with this cuisine. (But this is not a deal breaker). I expect it might be even better on a regular night.That said, the high ceilings, exposed brick, comfortable furniture, tasteful Turkish decor and the red and gold paint, created a warm and inviting dining room with lovely background music. Our server was friendly and the owner stopped by to check on us after it began to quiet down. This restaurant is a nice addition to my neighborhood and I look forward to going again soon.“

“Another wonderful and enjoyable meal at Limani. We had a late lunch on Easter and were seated right away. Our server came to our table immediately and asked what we needed while looking over both the regular and special holiday menus. Our wine was opened and poured and bread, olive oil and seasoning placed on the table. We were not rushed making our decisions even as a steady crowd filled up the restaurant. “Hiba Hala was the only Hala place open on Thanksgiving, for the ones who didn't celebrate the holiday, they offer great food and service. I didn't get to take a picture, I had egg whites and turkey bacon cause they don't serve sausage for some reason, but ok and French toast. I ate it all before my flight to Jamaica. For a tea and breakfast ran me about $18 that blew my mind, but I did enjoy my food and was just happy they were open.“

The server was very sweet and kind and took good care of us. We are used to the location in Metuchen which is nicer inside. The seating was rather pedestrian. I think they were having problems with their exhaust, as there was an unpleasant smoke from the grill wafting in the air. “Great small, quant place in town for Mediterranean food. We came for an earlier dinner at 5:30 on a Saturday and we were the only table. There were a number of people coming in to pick up takeout and delivery orders though. We started with the lentil soup and then I had the Chicken Kabob entree and my wife had the Mahi Mahi entry. We both really enjoyed our meals. The portion size was perfect and everything had great flavor. The staff was really friendly. We will definitely be back.“
