“If you've ever seen the movie BIG NIGHT, this place has the same vibe. Part of me wants to not even review it because I don't want it to get crowded and ruined, but the food is so incredible and the people that work there are the nicest people on earth, so I have to do it. We went there about a month ago and then brought back four friends last night. (Our waitress was, I think, one of the owners--she was so happy and kind.) They all told me that they feared I was overselling it, but once they got there and ate, they were believers! If I could afford it, I'd eat here once a week. The food is--literally--inspiring. It makes me want to learn how to cook. How can people make stuff this good?“
“This place has really stepped up their seating arrangements and the patio was warm, beautifully decorated and enclosed. My only issue was that it was hard to hear one another inside the enclosure with a lot of people talking. It might be helpful to have some sort of sound-reduction put in place in the future.“
“Delicious Italian food that delivers in taste, quality, and presentation. Since it was our first time, it took us some time to order, but the waiter was very helpful and patient. The meatballs voted in best in New Jersey are definitely worth it. A combination of textures and flavors such as pine nuts and raisins gave it a delightful flavor; we ate every single bite. I got the genovese-gnocchi with braised beef short rib. The gnocchi was soft and pillowy yet firm. The braised beef short rib was tender and smooth to taste; the beef reduction brought all the flavors together nicely. If you're looking for great Italian food then give Lucas a visit.“
“Stopped in to order something different today. I orderd the chicken Alfredo pizza, and shrimp scampi. The pizza was delicious, and had fresh lettuce. The shrimp scampi, tasted different to me because I'm use to more sauce. The customer service was good, and my order was cooked to order.“
“This joint was jumping on a Friday at 6:30. We would have been turned away without a reservation. The pork chop scarpariello, short ribs and filet were excellent entrees. This was a birthday celebration, which is why we went a bit high-end. This venue at this time of night might be a bit noisy for some , but no complaints here - just an excellent meal!“
“A new restaurant in our bedroom community of Hillsborough, NJ, Mama Fanti is a place you don't want to miss. We went around 6:00 on a Friday night and were seated even though we didn't have a reservation. We found the food VERY flavorful! I really liked the sauces which must have some "secret" ingredients because they tasted better than what I have grown used to. We had a stuffed zucchini appetizer, three mains, a salad and a dessert for around $150.The salad was plenty for sharing. The eggplant Parmesan was interesting. I'm used to very thinly sliced eggplant with lots of breading, but Mama Fanti's was thickly sliced, nicely breaded with a delicious sauce. The veal cutlet topped with arugula was great, but the chicken dish (see below) was out of this world. I'll get that next time I go. We finished with an incredibly light tiramisu (one serving for all three of us).“
“Tomato Pies Italian Kitchen offers a decent dining experience with its cozy ambiance and Italian-inspired dishes. The menu selection is varied, but some dishes fell short of expectations in terms of flavor and execution. While the service was friendly.Additionally, the portion sizes seemed inconsistent, with some dishes being overly generous while others felt lacking. Overall, Tomato Pies has potential, but there are areas that could be improved to elevate the dining experience.“
“Food was 11/10 ❗️Order 4 different dishes yesterday all of them tasted amazing! Ordered so much that I dropped my garlic bread on my way to the car. Went back inside and without hesitation the manager made me a fresh batch. Very hardworking people who care about our community. Great environment to bring to your friends and family for quality food.“
“A 30 year, small family owned business, that's a mixture of pizzeria and Italian restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Tonight, I stopped in for the first time and was cheerfully welcomed and felt right at home. The menu had a wonderful assortment of great looking entries. But I decided to try one of the specials, the very flavorful and savory Chicken with portobello mushrooms sun-dried, tomatoes, spinach, and mozzarella in a white wine sauce over penne ($23.95). Service was great with friendly and attentive staff. If you're in the Hillsboro, Princeton area, this is a must try. Dine in or takeout, I think you'll be impressed too. Follow me on yelp or on Insta @noodlesoupr. As I travel the world and search up the perfect bowl of noodle soup.“
“Zinna's Bistro is well-nigh perfect: the setting on a waterfront; indoor and outdoor seating equally charming; food that is always prepared carefully and to order; service staff that is amazing in friendliness without ever being intrusive. There are few restaurants around so enjoyable.“
“Tony's Open Kitchen is a great Italian addition to the neighborhood. I recently went to dinner her with a group of 10. Everyone enjoyed their food. The pasta entrees were a hit and the Regolare Pizza was great (ohh.. that sauce). The service was fast and efficient. I ordered then eggplant parmigiana, which was awesome and a plentiful portion size. I liked the fact that it was not deep fried, but instead lightly battered and baked. The accompanying vegetables were all so flavorful and delicious. The complimentary bread was hot, fresh and tasty out of the oven. It's a BYOB, so that's a plus. I look forward to going back and trying some of the other entrees. Note: They charge 3% for using a credit card and will only do up to 3 credit cards per table. That created a bit of an issue with 10 people, since not everyone had cash on hand.“
“We were just there for my husband's birthday. My daughter and her girlfriend made the reservation. We shared appetizers and had a good meal. Dessert was so good. I had a ricotta cake with a mixed fruit topping ❤️ We all took part of our dinner home.Parking: We did not have any problems parking, although it was on a Sunday.“
“Service was very good. Staff very friendly. All Food courses were delicious and came out hot, fresh and was delicious! I had the Bianca ? chicken with cavatappi special. Amazingly tender chicken and the sauce was exquisite! Atmosphere was OK but bathroom was neglected and needs a lot of work cosmetically.“
“When my stepbrother and his wife arrived for a three day visit they mentioned that it would be her birthday while they stayed with my wife and I. As residents of Lawrenceville, having a birthday dinner at Vidalia was an automatic choice. Our Restaurant Week special prix fixe menu was delightful, delicious and beautifully presented. The service was excellent. The tall candle on the Tiramisu was delightful. My only quibble is that the main dinning room can be quite noisy, making conversation difficult.“
“So I just moved to the area. For the most part pizza is awesome. They just have to let it actually cook. I don’t like non- crispy pizza. Other than that pizza is A1.When we first went for take out. I didn’t have such a great experience. However this last time for delivery changed that.“
“We went there with another couple who had raved about. Lived up to the billing. It looks like an old school restaurant that you'd find 30 plus years ago. They were extremely accommodating for gluten free items. There was literally not a bad bite of food. I was so focused on savoring every bite that I missed out on taking a photo of anything. I can't wait to take my other family members with gf restrictions who can finally enjoy really great Italian food.“
“We grabbed a bottle o wine from the liquor store 2 doors down and went to dinner. The place was clean and set nicely with cloth table cloths and cloth napkins. Our waiter Peter was professional, courteous and attentive to our needs. I had the grilled seafood combo which was fantastic (and I'm from Massachusetts so know seafood). We also had the galic breas with cheese which was excellent. The chef presented us two complimentary mini cannollis which were obviously freshly filled and tasty. A 5 star experience after a 7 hour day driving.“
“Caffe Piazza was a big, welcoming surprise in its unassuming location. Not since I've been in Italy have I had a similar dining experience. Welcoming atmosphere, the wait staff was exceptional - knowledgeable, attentive, courteous, helpful and friendly. The food - I dipped my bread in the olive oil and upon tasting it, immediately noticed that this was really good olive oil, and it went uphill from there, everything we ordered and tasted, looked, and was, delicious. The house salad came out and my wife and I both agreed, this may be the tastiest salad dressing we'd ever had! I don't know what was in it!My grandmother was from Calabria, and she could cook, and I grew up eating her sauce, so I never get the Sunday dinner (Stofato Special) at restaurants as I'm usually pretty sure I'll be disappointed. I gave it a shot and it was excellent. The meatball, sausage and braciole were tender and tasty and the sauce was scrumptious over the fresh made pasta. I was in heaven. I cleaned every drop of the bowl with my bread. The other 3 diners ordered a fresh pasta with a tomato cream sauce, a seafood dish and a chicken with vegetables dish and every single dish looked so good, I am thinking I'm going to have to go back at least 3 more times to try them ?Had the pistachio gelato for dessert. Just full of pistachio flavor, and that creamy gelato texture that makes your tongue dance, savored every bite.I ordered a cappuccino, which upon tasting it, also lifted an eyebrow as it was exceptionally good. After dinner, the owner, who is from Italy took pride in telling us about their ingredients, their philosophy and their roots in Calabria (no surprise!). He also shared that their family has been serving up delicious meals here for 29 years, that's just amazing. Just like back home, he offered some Limoncello to end the meal which sealed the deal.If you've been to Italy, or if you haven't, check this place out and you'll feel like you were.“
“The pizza was amazing, along with the staff. They were all so friendly when I came in for a pickup. They all greeted me, and I felt bad for leaving them after that, with now wanting to stay, eat, and hang out some. The food was killer like I said, and I'll come back for that, but it's great when you meet people that make you want to stay.“
“The very best in pizza, subs, the only place i trust to make me a good meatball without that nasty under taste you get from most restaurant meatballs.Family owned and operated, been coming here since I was a kid. I moved away some 10 years ago and somehow the brothers remember me when I stop by which is whenever i'm in town. I love th“
“Planned my daughter’s baby shower from Florida with Sam and it turned out better than we could have imagined. Sam was so prompt with returning calls/emails and gave me suggestions to best accommodate the party from planning from afar. Being my family and a lot of friends are Italian, they are choosy with food and Villa Maria exceeded our expectations. The service staff couldn’t be any more attentive and courteous than they were. Being a lifetime Hamiltonian, Villa Maria was high on the list of venue choices when we began planning this event and having confidence that all would be as wanted , My daughter and son-in-law couldn’t have had a better venue than Villa Maria. Thank you again Sam for your professionalism and personal touch.Michele Rossi“
“Best Italian restaurant I’ve ever had and immaculate service! I called ahead as they were getting close to closing time and they said come on in with no hesitation. They were beyond accommodating and the service was insanely fast. The bread and homemade tomato sauce that’s brought out is delicious and set the tone. I ordered the pasta alla vodka and my son ordered the gnocchi with Alfredo. Both came with a choice of soup or salad and the soup of the day was potato and bacon… to die for! The puffy garlic bread was also great! Both main dishes were fantastic and massive portion sizes. For dessert, the tiramisu and the lava cake were (again) amazing. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. We were visiting from New Hampshire and I wish I could transplant this place to my town! Thank you for an amazing experience“
“Needed a spot to meet a business colleague. The food and service were top notch. Presentation was great. Nice having a liquor store next door to pick-up a bottle of wine. Only issue was that it was very loud. They really should invest in some noise dampening items.“
“I was born in Genoa and I miss my land every day. As well I miss the real Italian food. Thanks God Francesca and Le Kyosk exist!! Truly amazing Focaccia and all the sandwiches I’ve tried so far (I guess 5 different ones). The quality along with the kindness made me really feel at home. Thanks Le Kyosk Team!Vegetarian options: You can personalize your sandwich the way you want“
“We have gotten take out and dined in many times. We are always amazed at how good their Latin food is and their Italian food. The menu is so big and diverse and we have never ordered anything we didn’t like. The prices are so reasonable and the portions are good. The staff there is also so kind and pleasant. Love this place!“
“Found this spot on the way home to get a quick pie for my fam. We love pizza so we barely deviate from our normal pizza spots. This is one of the best kept secrets in somerset NJ. We are pizza purists and we've tried a lot of different places, we're spoiled since NJ has a lot of really good quality spots. We've only had the plain pie from here, so cant really speak to anything else but we love it and this has been our top choice for the last few weeks.“
“I don’t know that it’s the best New York style pizza place, but it’s my favorite. We stop every time we visit my wife’s family because I always want white pizza and ordering one in Florida is like picking up sushi at a gas station. The employees are top notch, and I know they go out of their way to take care of my MIL and make things special/fresh for her.Vegetarian options: Veggie and plain options availableKid-friendliness: Kids love pizza!Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of space in the shop if you’re in a chair“
“When you walk in the vibe is relaxed, warm, and inviting, as if you were having dinner in a friend's kitchen. There aren't an overwhelming amount of choices but there is something for everyone. While you wait for your meal, enjoy the delicious flatbread. I am on a diet but everyone else loved it. What is delivered to your table is absolutely delicious. My daughter, who has eaten there before, raved about their house dressing. How excited can one get over salad dressing? It was so good. She ordered the Parpadelle Meat Sauce. She loved it. It was a lot so she took half of it home. Her boyfriend had the Apricot & Walnut Salad. It looked delicious and he really enjoyed it. As I mentioned, I am on a diet so I was happy to see the variety of salads. I ordered the Pasta Fazool, yum, and the Beet & Goat Cheese Salad; I added Shrimp. It was delicious, especially the shrimp, well seasoned, and they weren't cheap on the beets or goat cheese which made me happy. It was topped with that salad dressing and, my daughter was right, it was delicious. My husband, whom we affectionately refer to as "Bob the Food Snob", had the Frutta del Mar. He always sends his food back but loved this dish. The pasta is fresh, the sauce perfectly seasoned. We ended the evening with zeppole shared for the table. It comes with Nutella. My daughter's boyfriend joked that zeppole filled with cannoli cream would be outrageously delicious. I ordered that and the Nutella. I expected the cannoli cream to be typical. It was really light. Yes, I had a taste because they were all talking about it and dessert is my thing. Brad was right, zeppole and cannoli cream is delicious. Put that on the menu! We are going back!“
“Always great, fresh dinner (or lunch) options for the family or guests when you don't have time for a lot of dinner prep! Love their sauces, soups and my kids won't eat any other brand of raviolis having grown up eating Lucy's for 10+ years. Salads are fresh, sandwiches - and they do a great job catering large and small orders as well.“
“We had a beautiful and delicious night here! Our waitress Erin was so sweet and attentive. We really enjoyed every aspect of our meal, from the drinks to the appetizers to the meal and dessert. Nice atmosphere, great service and all around a nice night.“
“Three families went here for dinner celebrate my son’s birthday. The food was so good, but honestly it was the staff that overshined everything! They were so friendly, so accommodating, and so kind to all of our kids. The owner was so accommodating and so warm to all of us. I can’t speak highly enough about how great the staff was. We don’t live nearby but when we are here we will for sure go there for dinner.“
“You know the deal… Daddy David Portnoy told the public this place was AN 8.9. So you know me and Rj had to spin the block to Princeton. We got a large pie and devoured it like frickin animals. Unfortunately because of the crispness of the slice, Rj’s sperm count became a little too low and he died. Rip Rj. 5 Stars!“
“Mannino’s is the best, My family is so thrilled we came across them. They have the best Grandma pie. Yesterday we ordered a sausage , onion and roasted pepper pie, it was amazing. This is the best pizzeria in the area. I didn’t think anyone here could make a fantastic pie, but they did. This will definitely be our go to place, no others in the area come close. Keep maki g your delicious food“
“Nicely decorated, good service and delicious food. Decent size portions as well. I enjoyed a chicken and sausage risotto and also tasted the chicken marsalla. Both were very good, but there wasn't much marsalla flavor in the sauce. The prices were slightly on the high side, but not awful. I would have felt better about that if they included a house Salad with the entrée instead of everything Ala carte. BYOB also. Overall, I recommend this restaurant.“
“I am a big fan of this place for probably the last 15 years not only because they make great pizza and I am a New Yorker but they have specials that they have kept consistent for Price even in this inflation economy which deserves some appreciation and loyalty. Two slices not just plain but anything they have on the counter and a drink for $5 and on Sundays a large plain pie for $10 cannot beat that deal please patronize them“
“Leonardo's consistently surpasses our expectations, not only with their regular offerings but also with their special events tailored to our group. Robert and Magdalena's dedication shines through in the delicious food and warm, homey atmosphere they create, making every visit an unforgettable experience.“
“First time here. Upon walking in, I ALWAYS check out how the pizza looks. All of the pizza on the shelf looked good. This time, I just ordered a plain slice to go.It was DELICIOUS!!! The thin crust was perfect, and the sauce and cheese were on point.I'm definitely returning !!!“
“Went in to place an order for a family of five. First time visiting this place, and I was greatly surprised of all the options they had to choose from. All of the food was delicious, their wings were flavorful and meaty! The spicy chicken wrap had plenty of goodness wrapped in it! The garlic knots were also delicious! The service was top notch, and the atmosphere for dining in is very family friendly.“
“Whenever I go to my mom's this is my go to pizza place! Their eggplant side dish and meatballs are my favorite! My 2 year old loves the meatballs so much!!! Their wings are also very reasonably priced and I love that they put the hot sauce on the side as we have a few kids in the family so they can eat them as well!Kid-friendliness: My 2 year old loves their meatballs. My niece and nephew are up their wings!“
“They have nice ambience inside and outside. It was perfect dinner place to celebrate my birthday. The place is in the middle of the Princeton downtown area and has a nice chill vibes. Staff is really good and friendly. Loved their food and drinks.“
“We were a party of 11 for the Easter brunch at 10 a.m. (in 2024). We had a wonderful time. From the first greeting by the host/hostess, to the servers, and the buffet workers, to the good bye ~ everyone we dealt with was pleasant and professional. The food selection was varied, delicious, plentiful, and temperature appropriate. Matt, our server, kept on top of monitoring our drinks; mimosas, coffee, soda etc., empty plates were taken away and not thank you for making our Easter brunch a wonderful family gathering left on our table for very long.We could not have been more pleased to come to Amalfi's, our first visit, but definitely not our last. The ONLY negative was it was a bit chilly in the room.I'm sure for the next seating it was a little warmer.Highly recommend Amalfi's. We thank them all fees for making our family gathering a wonderful memory.“
“Fresh food full of flavor. I deducted one star because the ambience is a bit lacking. This place used to have such a cozy romantic dimly lit interior. Now the dining area is just one big room with tables in a brightly lit blue space. The chorizo flambé is an awesome appetizer and is cooked tableside. A must for starters! Try any of their seafood dishes- all are flavorfully prepared. Don't forget the drinks! The bartender made a special original concoction for me when I described what I liked and it was amazing! Friendly and delish! Like I said, I just wish it was a bit more cozy. For a quick bite, have a seat at the bar where the atmosphere is warm and welcoming“
“such tasty food, they’ve got the kind of fries people dream about. so perfectly crispy, just your ideal pizzeria fries. i also got the chicken franchese dip sandwich and it was unreal. it even tasted just as good reheated the next day. i highly reccomend stopping by and i will be coming back in the “
“The food at Lenny's was delectable. I especially enjoyed the penne alla vodka pizza, but we had four different pizzas and each one was amazing. The appetizers were timely and fresh. A really great restaurant if you are looking to diversify your Italian!“
“I usually stop at Taystee Sub Shop, but noticed Joe's and tried it. Big selection of sub sandwiches. I went for a 12" sub, and it was great, fairly priced. I am so glad I found this place, I will be back. I cannot comment on the attached restaurant. If you are looking for ambience in the deli store, this is not the place, but who cares the food and service were great, like a good old fashioned mom and pop deli.“
“The staff were almost too attentive! Such personal service, with plenty of choices. There's a grocery deli area and a sit down part. Portions are great, food tastes great. The space is simultaneously cozy and modern. Might be considered a little tight for some.Wheelchair accessibility: Might be tight but all furniture moves easily. Patio space as well.“
