It's upsetting when you specifically ask for food without a specific ingredients and making sure it wouldn't be an issue since deadly alergic to it and it's still covered with cilantro after having confirmed they could do it without. On top of that my spouse who was able to eat it describes it as bland and boring so I guess I dodge a bullet there

La comida es autentica, las salsas picositas y el sazon no le pide nada a nadie.I heard of this place when I asked two constructions workers about good taco places at a Chinese restaurant. They specifically mentioned this location and they were not wrong. I went on a Thursday at lunchtime and decide to dine in instead of take out. I asked for water and they were going to give me bottled water so I opted for a Sangria instead. I ordered the lengua (beef tongue) tacos and quesadillas de chicharron prensado. When the waitress brought the plate with the tacos I immediately pulled the salt shaker towards me...but I didn't need to. The lengua was seasoned just right. I took a bite, leaned back, and closed my eyes. I was transported back home like in Ratatouille. The green salsa was spicy, but the red one had a better flavor. Muy ricas! I think the corn tortillas are made on site. If they're not, I want to know where they buy them and order a fresh kilo to eat with lime and salt. They were so so so very good! And one order of tacos was enough for me, but I had also ordered the quesadillas. There are not the flat things I was thinking of, I think this is how they eat them deeper south in Mexico. They're large corn tortillas fried into a taco shape, filled with a type of string cheese, your meat of choice, lettuce, and crumbles of queso fresco. I couldn't finish those and took them home. My teens devoured them cold and seconded my opinion of the salsas. I even took an order of tacos to go and share with my coworkers. They left their lunches alone after and said they tasted "not as good."

While the restaurant may be very small, the food is authentic and extremely delicious. Some of the best nopal around and their molcajete is to die for.

The place is a Mexican food gem! The service is always special, but the atmosphere could use a little more. The food, however, is phenomenal. I haven't had a bad dish yet. My favorite is their stuffed salmon. It's the most amazing crab-stuffed yumminess I've ever tasted. Their guacamole is top-notch. The chips and tortillas are always fresh. Their juices are soooo refreshing. Get a pineapple one or a tamarind. Sooooo good!I'm still working through their menu, but this one chef will be forever my faves Mexican food chef.

Each restaurant prepares & serves differently. Last nights Carnitas Flautas were dry & overcooked. You may enjoy a hard & crisp outer shell, I find it unsatisfying. Try for yourself & then decide.

I can remember when I first moved to Hamilton, that we had but one Mexican restaurant out on 33. That restaurant (and the building too) is long gone, but we've a real wealth of choices now. Of these, my absolute favorite has to be Chencha y Chole (the names of the owners), and it is an outpost of the original location in Trenton. My wife and I have never had anything there that wasn't good, and it's the little extras that bring them over the top. The tortillas are homemade and delicious, and a little thing like the slices of avocado that come standard with your taco and enchilada orders are something you don't get from many other joints. But what really puts this place over the top for me is the barbacoa. If I'm getting a taco or sope here, it's very likely I'm getting barbacoa. It's not a flavor everyone, but for me its like taco crack--I can't get enough of it. We'd probably go there more often if there were more than a few tables in the joint, but if we're doing take out, it's our go-to.

This is the second time I order and they mess it up again! Order asada and got chicken last time they gave me an incomplete order as well.

Just went there to place simple order; beef burrito. It was Friday 8pm. Dinning area was packed, ppl picking up orders consistently coming in and out. I was told wait time for my order was 20 min, and I was absolutely fine with that bc they were extremely busy. My burrito was one of the best I had, simple, fulfilling, fresh and delicious. Definitely recommending this place!!!!!

The food was fine, its the dishonesty of the cashier that disgusted me. I asked for a take out menu I ordered Bistec Mexicana $11 but was charged $14.50, Quesadillas $8 but was charged $13, Tacos $8 and was charged $11.When I realized I paid more that I calculated, I ask for the receipt. The cashier told me then that the prices are different coz she gave me a take out menu and that is not the price of the real menu, HUH? Explaining before she gave me the receipt. Told her that customer will not come back not because of the food but by her dishonesty. Told her I am willing to pay for the food, its not about the money its about being honest to the customer. She doesn't seem to take it seriously at first but in the end she did apologized (maybe because other customers were present, who knows!).So watch out if you are planning to come to this restaurant, check the prices before you pay! Good food but poor customer service (cashier).
