how great is it they the original owners of the Diet Gourmet have reopen in the same location in Elberon NJ. The menu is even better than before. They have all their old favorites and a whole bunch of new ones( pizza, flat breads, fish and chip, baked Eggplant) just to name a few. Also they redecorated the whole whole place from and new size to new floors, tables, bathroom repainted in light colors, rebuilt the whole kitchen with new equipment. And the original owner chef is back in the kitchen doing her thing. Healthy food at it's best, kosher dairy at it's best. GO Tomorrow.

This was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. We ordered a Flatbread and an Avocado salad. We requested egg salad instead of hard boiled eggs. Both dishes were highly overpriced for the quantity and quality ($18 for each dish). The egg salad tasted as if it had gone bad. After complaining the server was kind enough to take it back, but the chef had the audacity to come out and tell us that she had made it this morning (this was rude and unnecessary). They brought us a new salad with a veggies burger (which I appreciated) however, the veggies burger was freezer burnt and clearly straight out of the microwave. We didn't even end up eating the veggies burger. Just to add in, the Flatbread was quite small for its price. When it came time for the check, there was a 20% gratuity charge, which was a steep price for a table of 2. I am not normally the type of person to complain (this is my first formal complaint ever) I was just very disappointed by my experience. There are plenty of other places in Deal to try, so maybe skip this one.

Diet gourmet has some of the friendliest staff, best food, and best prices of any kosher restaurant around. I would definitely recommend giving it a try.

The Diet Gourmet is by far the best Kosher place to go and enjoy an amazing lunch! The staff is amazing and so friendly and attentive towards all of their customers, knowing most on a first name basis. If your in the Long Branch area i highly recommend checking this place out, you won’t regret it!!Vegetarian options: Everything here is vegetarian and amazing! I definitely recommend trying the Famous Impossible BurgerKid-friendliness: Best Kid Menu around out of the kosher restaurants. Always has kids channels on TVParking: A huge variety of parking at the Elbron Train Station and infront of the restaurantDietary restrictions: So many good diet options like the salads and impossible burgers !

I read a couple of 1 Star reviews, but don't believe the people who wrote them are real. I think Google needs to do a better job making sure the people reviewing are for real. I have been eating at the Diet Gourmet since 1990 and it has always been the top lunch spot in the deal area. Professional culinary train chef is hard to find in a lunch place at the shore. The food is outstanding, excellent service and the entire place has been modernized from the dinning room to the kitchen and bathroom. if you haven't been there since their remodel in the past 30 days you need to go enjoy the finest luncheon place at the shore. They revised their menu and have some great new items to go along with their many old favorites. I only gave it 5 stars because 6 stars was not an option.

I love Diet Gourmet! The inside is beautifully remodeled with decor that highlights the beauty of the Jersey Shore. Great menu with DG favorites like their beloved mac salad, Impossible Burger, and Milky Way Sundae. It is an overall excellent experience that shouldn't be missed when spending time at the Jersey Shore. I look forward to going back.

Diet Gourmet is an institution that has been around for over 50 years. The food is just as good today as it was 50 years ago. Great service, Big selection and Always fresh - you're never going to get a salad with rust on it.Vegetarian options: They do not serve meat there. there are many vegan options as well.Kid-friendliness: Hi chairs and kid's menuParking: There is a fair amount of on street parking but adjacent to the restaurant is the Elberon train station with more than enough parking.Dietary restrictions: The food service strictly kosher supervised by JSOR

Literally the BEST kosher food I have had in quite some time. Restaurant ambiance and staff were amazing! I will be eating here whenever I’m in the area! I wish I could give more than 5 Stars!
