It was a large party (50+ people) doing an open bar and the staff could not be more accommodating/generous before and during the event. “I went here for the first time on Saturday at 1pm and it was, unexpectedly, one of the best bars I've been to so far in NYC! Rudy is the main contributing factor to my review; he was amazing! We started making bites with layers of mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, a piece of brisket w/their delicious sauce on top of their homemade tortilla chip, and to top it off, we would add a calbee hokkaido butter chip so both sides would be crunchy with savory gooey perfection in between. “O'Hanlon's is pub meets basement rec room meets one of the oddest cuts of locals you'll find in Manhattan. Probably best known for its soccer showing which draws in weekend crowds, you might be surprised to learn it also opens at 9am, apparently to cater to night shift workers like those at the firehouse across the street. Because of that, I can never quite tell if O'Hanlon's is weathering bumpy times (it isn't always the cleanest and sometimes is low on stock) or if that's simply the reality of being open nearly 24-hours a day. Either way, that weirdness and its rougher edges do lend it an odd kind of charm that's hard to replicate, which is made all the more charming by great staff who are often more than happy to chat when it's not crazy busy.Edit: In response to the reply from the owners, for me it'd be 5 stars probably if there was a bit more stock of bottles on the back bar. For bourbon for example, these days I don't see much besides Maker's but I remember there used to be a bit more variety? But if the strategy is to keep a simpler inventory, that's totally fair! Just have been surprised since it's a large bar“

There is a basketball shooter game in one corner, and along the walls it's old vintage athletic posters or memorabilia or tickets. They have tickets from the Olympic Games several decades ago. It's really cool! I like the music. I like the staff. I loved the vibe. I highly recommend watching a game here and having a drink. Just be aware it's not going to have the sound of the game. I think them serving food is a plus but wouldn't expect it to taste amazing.“

“This was a laid-back, divey type of bar that supported the Packers as there was memorabilia throughout the inside. There were a few tables with mostly high tops surrounding the bar as well as outdoor seating with televisions. The menu had a few unique bar features along with over 140 wing flavors. Two types of wings and the special empanadas were ordered. The wings came eight to an order and seemed to be of good quality. They were meaty and large too. The sauces that were picked were awesome sauce ($14) and the Pickle Me Elmo Pickle Dressing ($15). The awesome sauce seemed to be a yum yum sauce but could not be exactly sure as the menu did not provide a description and just stated 'don't' ask - It's awesome." Regardless, it was very tasty. It was not spicy at all if unfamiliar with yum yum sauce. The pickle sauce was decent. I would have preferred more of the sauce present, but it was okay at best. The special empanada consisted of hot sausage and mozzarella. There were two to an order and they were big. The overall empanada was extremely crispy. There was plenty of filing and it seemed to be more of a chorizo texture than sausage, but it was still great. Will I go back? Definitely.“

The burgers, meatloaf and pita wraps were excellent. The owner Vinnie greeted us and seated us, then came by to chat with us. The server was attentive and seemed to like her job. About a 15 - 20 minute walk from the Harrison PATH station. I will be making future visits there with old collegues.“
