“I met a couple of my old coworkers there December 20th after 4 years. I wanted to go to a highly rated family-run place and this establishment didn't disappoint. The burgers, meatloaf and pita wraps were excellent. The owner Vinnie greeted us and seated us, then came by to chat with us. The server was attentive and seemed to like her job. About a 15 - 20 minute walk from the Harrison PATH station. I will be making future visits there with old collegues.“
“This place is amazing not your average dive, upscale, drinks, and some really amazing bites!I absolutely love the wings and the bang bang shrimp so saucy and delicious! And then cheesesteak is a must order! To end it all you must get the jumbo cannoli trust me!“
“An amazing place to host a company event. We held our customer appreciation event here and the venue was perfect. The owners were very accommodating. Great mix of food, drinks, ambiance and golf. Everyone had a blast. Definitely would recommend to all corporate events.“
“Immediately I knew this place was special. The ties to NYC and 9/11 run deep. I had a tuna melt which was open faced, and my husband had the Reuben. No pics because we ate everything before considering pictures. You will not be disappointed here. The service was great and the ambiance is special. If I'm ever in NYC again, I'll be back.“
“Tiki Mojito- Excellent service and delicious food. Daniel was very attentive and courteous. Our fried pork and yucca appetizer was tender and delicious! The ox tail plate was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Drinks were as ordered and well mixed. I recommend you all give it a try.“
“The BEST guacamole!Vegetarian options: I am vegan and can always find something delicious to eat at Sonoma Grill. My partner thoroughly enjoyed his short ribs. The table side guacamole is phenomenal! The cocktails are always amazing and the staff is always so friendly and accommodating. This is one of our favorite places to eat in Nutley.“
“Jody's Club Forest is the best! I went for lunch with my special needs students and we were taken care of so well. The staff is super friendly and the food was delicious. It is wheelchair accessible and has such a comfortable atmosphere. I will definitely be back!“
“My son said "Blue Smoke has the best brisket in NYC and maybe even TX too" I agree with him. The seasoning is perfect, the meat is super tender and moist, it just melts in your mouth, and we loved their homemade tortilla chips. It was our first time trying it. We started making bites with layers of mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, a piece of brisket w/their delicious sauce on top of their homemade tortilla chip, and to top it off, we would add a calbee hokkaido butter chip so both sides would be crunchy with savory gooey perfection in between. It's difficult to find a better bite and now we want to order it again now.“
“We ordered wings and they were very good. We also ordered steak & cheese sandwiches that could have been good except they were heavily, over salted. Nikki was the bartender, and she was great. It is definitely a dive bar....but a good one if you like that kind of thing.“
“to start off the service is amazing . staff is super helpful and accommodating making sure customers are satisfied. they have a wide selection of food, so there is always something to order for everyone, even those who are more picky than others. they also have live music and restaurant is very spacious and great for a date night, family/friend get togethers. always down to go here and i’m not even from new jersey!“
“Love this place! Great food, great drinks, service is always speedy and pleasant. Depending on what time and day you go you'll have a variety of different but interesting people to chat with, unless you just feel like people watching which is fine too.“
“Hop shoppe has been around for quite some time and has proven its reputation with their wide array of delicious burger. My favorite is the holy grail. Inside they have arcade games and a bar. If you're looking to have some good drinks and a great burger this is it. They have a great menu filled with different options including fried pickles! It's worth the trip.“
“Food is always excellent. When ordering for delivery people taking the order are always extremely polite and helpful. Delivery always takes less time than expected. The delivery people are very polite also. Same wonderful experience whether we dine in or get take out. Would give 10 Stars !!!“
“We came with a group to celebrate a great friends promotion…which was also a surprise wedding proposal for her. Marc was extremely accommodating and Kristina, who was our server as well as the manager was beyond amazing. She was on point and went well beyond to make our experience awesome…all while handling another large group. I cannot express enough how thankful we are and what a great experience we had! Thank you Blackjacks!!!“
“Good Food and Strong DrinksI must say, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Not only was it better than I expected, but it was also well-prepared and served in a timely manner. The portions were generous, and the flavors were on point. The drinks – they're huge and pack a punch! You're guaranteed to leave feeling buzzed. While the service could be a tad better, with room for improvement in attentiveness and friendliness, it didn't detract too much from the overall experience. One thing I appreciated was the presence of security at the door, which added an extra layer of comfort and safety to the atmosphere.Overall, Ringside offers great food, strong drinks, and a decent atmosphere. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the mood for a lively night out.“
“Barcode is the place to be at every weekend . The new barcode is amazing . Great good music and prices . Camila was the best we came and celebrated my friends bday she celebrated with us . Super sweet super attentive I recommend her service 100%“
“Best place around. The food, the atmosphere, the customers, and the staff. Can’t get any better than that. I recently forgot my purse there on a football Sunday. Got it back and everything was still inside. Cash and all. If I had forgotten it anywhere else, I wouldn’t have been so lucky.“
“Me and my friends went for all day happy hour brunch and Serenity was AMAZING. She took care of us so well, she made sure we were fed great and the food and drinks were amazing, me and my friends came for “2 drinks” and left after shots and way too many drinks. Everytime we needed Serenity she came to us. She was great and we will be coming back for her!!!!!“
“My go to place on the way to the city for the weekend! I hate showing up hungry and looking for somewhere to get a quick bite before a late dinner. Biggie's is perfect for what I needed. The food is consistently good. Had the lobster roll and it was fantastic. Great drinks, you definitely get your money's worth too.. All around yes!“
“A new favorite local spot! I actually did a comedy show here last night and my boyfriend, my friends and I are already talking about how it's such a great place for comedy. Drinks are great, burgers really are the best in Hudson county, great onion rings too. And of course the owners / staff are super nice and create a welcoming atmosphere. We will be back!!!“
“I had a great time with a group of about 10 friends, we went on a weeknight as a going away party for a friend. The place is surprisingly large and has much more to do than we realized. We came for a simple night of billiards and ended up finding a really cool spot to drink, dance, and hang out. The service was good, the food was fine--it taste good and it is not like you are there for a restaurant experience. I had fun with the air hockey machine and played a couple songs on the jukebox. For reference we ordered the 16 & Tacos Beer Tower for $75, which wasn't a bad deal for the large group. I'd like to return to see the vibe on the weekend.“
“Been to their place in Rutherford and Newark before many events at the meadow lands and prudential center and have never been disappointed. Beer always ice cold with a large selection and warm delicious food. Might not be high end like a Michelin star restaurant but for the clientele it caters to you can't do any better. Service is always excellent. Friendly, warm, professional and understanding. Great place !!!“
“My first time here was over this past weekend and although I came with not the highest expectations. I was nicely surprised by the quality food and friendly service! Shout out to my server Steph for setting the bar for customer service, she was very attentive and helpful even recommending me great dishes and drinks which I ordered. Definitely will be back“
“Had a great time for my anniversary this weekend my server angel made it even better her vibe was amazing she had us dancing drinking and laughing all night. tried a few suggestions from her since this was our first time. Everything amazing, drinks were good, and we even got a great bottle deal for 5 people with food, drinks a bottle and hookahs we did like 150 a person and we were there from 9pm till almost closing time. thats really a steal we will definitely be back soon.Parking: They have a huge lot and valet as well you might have to walk a little if you dont want to pay but the valet is fast and quick and pretty cheap“
“We went to the 101 Pub to watch a Knicks game and the bartender was extremely accommodating. Tim put the game on for us on the TV in front of us. They have many TVs at the bar. We ordered some spicy chicken tenders which were delicious! Tim kept replacing my beer as soon as I was done. Very chill bar for both families and just groups of friends.“
“My sorority sisters & I decided to come here to eat after a workshop. When we arrived, karaoke was in full swing & everyone was having a great time! The energy was great & the food was just as good! Will definitely come here again!“
“Pretty decent spot, not too far away from 46 which is good. Handicap accessible as the whole establishment is on one floor I had the sweet Thai chili wings extra crispy, and Lord were they amazing!! I was obsessed and so sad that I was done eating them Lol. The Bartender and Bar were super attentive and helpful. Love the service!Parking: Probably more than 20 parking spotsWheelchair accessibility: No steps all on ground level/one floor.“
“When it comes to food, I am a big food snob. I've been living in Staten Island for 34 years and I passed this place when it was Rusty's a million times. I met a colleague of mine for drinks and food here and it did not disappoint. The prices were fair, the place was new and fresh, inclusive of the bathroom (this is very important LOL). The drinks had a generous pour of booze and the food was excellent. Reading thru some of the bad reviews, they may have had a couple of off nights however none of them made sense to me. We both ordered a roast beef sandwich. I had the South Shore. It was fantastic. The beef was juicy, the bread fresh, everything was great. In addition to a pair of roast beef sandwiches, we ordered a hot pretzel and the apple-cinnabon dessert. Everything was great. In addition to this, we got to chat with Edward who had just started his shift serving us animals (he was a gentleman) as well as Rusty (former owner of Rusty's) who gave us a little history lesson on the transition of Rusty's to Point Tavern. I will definitely be back again as it was a good place to have a drink or have some drinks and grab some good pub food. There is a bar area, separate dining area as well as an outdoor space. The surrounding streets offer ample street parking.“
“Classic neighborhood, no frills Irish dive bar. Good Guinness pours & strong cocktails. Friendly bartender w/ a sense of humor. There is good food across the street, & you're welcome to eat it at the bar. One regular tried to steer the convo to something negative about people of color, & everyone else jumped down his throat & shut him the f up.“
“I came here to order food to take out. The bartender took my order quickly and offered me a drink while I waited. I ordered a margarita on the rocks with salt. It was a really great drink. I sat there caught some sports and enjoyed my drink. I took home an order of chicken tenders which I forgot to take a picture of. There was six perfectly fried and fresh chicken tenders with a side of honey mustard sauce. Everything was great and the price was right. I enjoy Salty Dog and they keep the place clean. Staff is very attentive. I always enjoy eating and dinking here.“
“Great little staple of the clifton community. Many of the old tavern bars cease to exist, but this one still stands strong. And there's a reason why basements style esthetics and lively atmosphere keep long time patrons coming back.Want a man's cave and can't afford it? This place is the next best thing. From pool to darts, to sports on their many TVs, theres something to keep you around and occupied.Their staff and owners are attentive and friendly. They will keep you serviced and make you feel like one of the family as soon as you open that door.If you're looking for a bar like cheers,"Where everybody knows you name," look no further. Stop in and dedice for yourself.“
“Classic spot , newer location,Chicken fingers with honey mustard, fresh homemade pot roast. It doesn't get better.Service is excellent, food selections are excellent.Don't forget them daily homemade specials.TV's galore, and great great crowd.“
“This Applebee's is clean, they have awesome service great attitude and their food tasted amazing the desert was to die for and atmosphere of the place deserves more than 5 stars the setting is calm and collected, Rita was AMAZING, she was polite, she was quick and talkative and their manager John answered a lot questions he was also very polite to the group I LOVE YOU APPLEBEES GRILL & BAR“
“We recently held a memorial service for my father at The Old Canal Inn. Mark and his staff were professional, detail oriented, and kind. The food and atmosphere were incredible. They welcomed us and our guests like family. My dad loved to go there for a beer and I understand why. I will visit there every time I am back in the area from Massachusetts. I can't recommend The Old Canal Inn highly enough.“
“This is a great bar to watch the eagles games! It feels like you are right in the heart of Philly and you can always can get a drink relatively fast! In the fall when it's still warm, they have a set up on 1st street where they block it off and set up tables and TVs to watch the game.“
“Took a first date there and she loved it. So much so that she agreed to go on a 2nd date with me lol. The ambiance was great and it set the tone for a great night for my date and I. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice bar to go to in the West Orange area.“
“I frequently visit this establishment and they never disappoint. By far the BEST salads, prime rib, wings, and fish. Always welcoming and LGBTQ friendly. Not many places I've been to are. The manager, George, is awesome and very attentive to his customers. The bartenders are great and drinks are consistent. They also have superb specials on a regular basis. My go to spot for a night out!“
“My all time favorite bar!! It has everything. Great food, great beer, great service, great people, and an absolutely electrifying atmosphere. Good any day/night of the week. They have shuffle board, pool, darts, a ton of TVs to watch football (the best Sunday fun day spot in town). I can’t say enough about this place!“
“My favorite neighborhood bar. I'm always here with my friends. The owner/barman Steve is the coolest dude. They have delicious food as well and everything I've tasted was really good. Nice atmosphere and fun vibe. Also during hockey season it becomes a Blackhawks/Rangers bar which is great for my friend group.“
“My manbun chum and I have been trying to find a home to watch our one March Madness game every year, and I think we found it for the foreseeable future. In fact, this time it looks to be a literal home.We stopped by last night to watch my beloved Gonzaga Bulldogs end their tournament run against Purdue. I could go into quite a bit of detail about some very shady calls in the paint and what I think should have been a taunting foul on Purdue's future proctologist Fletcher Loyer, but I digress. As soon as I walked in, I could tell I was going to like it. Prior years have been marred by loud sports bar atmospheres where you have to battle tooth and nail to convince someone to change the channel to something that isn't a mediocre NYC-area sports team (I say this as a Mets fan as well). Liberty was significantly quieter, definitely had an older crowd but also had numerous TVs throughout. The best of all worlds. I walked maybe 10 feet from the entrance, asked the bartender if she could switch the TV to the Zags on TBS, and that was that. Aside from a weird moment in the second half when the TV mysteriously changed to ESPN for a few minutes (we never confirmed the culprit), we had primo viewing of the game. Somehow we also managed to sit down next to a couple whose son was currently at Purdue. What a world.Vibe is everything with a place like this. I did a mild double-take when I realized the bar was located in a literal residential neighborhood in what may be someone's actual house (or at least upstairs). There's a parking lot on the side that had plenty of spots, and overall this was one of the most conveniently located establishments I've ever been to - it's about 30 seconds from Route 78 both ways. Initially I felt bad for the neighbors, but as bars go this is not exactly one that's going to be hosting raucous throwdowns outside or anything. You may actually be able to go to bed at 9pm living next door, which is my personal dream. The interior has a lot of tchotchkes behind the bar, and is surprisingly comfortable/spacious. The game started a little after 7:30pm on a Friday, but there were seats available right in front of the TVs and most of the patrons seemed to be in the back area playing pool. It did get a little more crowded throughout the game, but never to a point where it felt claustrophobic. The clientele demo skewed all over the place - several older codgers looked like they'd been rejected from Rock of Love Charm School (I thought one in particular was a dead ringer for Poison's CC DeVille), but there was also a few young men roaming around and middle-aged couples/singles throughout the establishment as well. Pretty much anyone who would theoretically come into a bar, did.We had a good bartender, who not only accommodated my TV request, but was friendly and accessible throughout our stay. I was in a sweet palate mood, and she offered to make a Hawaiian Volcano, apparently a drink pilfered from her days at TGI Friday's years ago. It's not something I'd necessarily get on a regular basis, but it definitely brought me back to my early legal drinking years for sure. I could taste some Malibu and juice, and sipped them throughout the game. We also got mozzy sticks and a pepperoni bar pie. Both were really decent for what they were, especially the mozzy sticks, which were fried perfectly. I thought the pizza tasted like a giant Bagel Bite, which is not an insult. But let's be clear - this is a dive bar, so it's not like you're wandering into the kitchen and stumbling across Jeremy Allen White from The Bear. You want something fairly tasty to munch on, and we got it.Strong recommend. I think expectations for a dive bar should be pretty simple - comfortable and pleasant. This was certainly that, minus the March Madness heartbreak.“
“the peppers, onions, and chicken quasadilla was VERY good. the tap beer was fresh with clean lines. the bartender, while friendly, was a teeny bit distracted.Parking: there is a lot behind the pub. there is a convenient rear entrance from the lot to the pub. a nice feature on a cold night.“
“Just stopped in for drinks after a visit in the city. We were greeted by a friendly bartender who served us quickly. We order espresso martinis and they were good but lacked a stronger coffee taste. The atmosphere was fun and cozy on the side of the bar we were on. The main side was louder because of the basketball games on but seemed very fun as well“
“When you hear "perfect neighborhood bar" what do you think of? Because I think of unfussy food, strong drinks, reasonable prices, and a welcoming atmosphere. Oh look at that, Brightside Tavern checks all 4 boxes. What's that? Entertainment (jazz night, open mic, karaoke) multiple nights a week? Sports on TVs all around the 360-degree bar? Brunch every day from 9-4? Happy hour ever weekday from 3-7? Kitchen open late (I mean LATE)? Music loud enough to take the edge of life off but not loud enough to make it impossible to talk? The owner (Tommy 2 Scoops) makes an effort to know and welcome everyone who visits? Everyone is welcome as long as you're good to each other? You probably get the idea by now. I can't think of one thing this bar doesn't make convenient. The Brightside Tavern might be Jersey City's best neighborhood bar. You don't need a reason or an excuse to go here, just do it.“
“Came with a friend after a Devils game. Other fans were there as well and the bartender Greg was immediately welcoming and friendly. Good craft beer options and plenty of TVs for any sport you'd want to watch. Reasonable prices for drinks, we didn't have food but they served bar pies that looked and smelled good. Would recommend and will definitely return when we're in the area.“
“This place is the greatest place on earth. On a scale from one to ten I would rank it a ten and a half. Solely based on the smokin hot bartender's extraordinary attention to the tiniest of details. She mispronounced my name over and overr again but it doesn't matter because... five stars. And that's that. Also, try the fresh n zesty teriyaki wings. Guaranteed to take you back to some place in southeast Asia that...you've probably never been to. Me Love You Long Time! Oh yes!“
“Came here with some friends , amazing hookah, great drinks and good music. Our waitress Sue was amazing, very welcoming , attentive and great service . We had a good time . Will definitely be coming back . 100% recommend this place. When u go there ask for tequila with a splash of pineapple you wont regret it“
“I run The Bayonne Chess Society & Club. We have events all over Bayonne, different venues. I approached the owner, Ed, and he immediately said, "Yes" He's a chess lover, and had been waiting forever for chess to come to Bayonne. We have almost 300 adult members, no idea how many children. We also have a Boardgame Division. We did this in THREE MONTHS.We have two locations on members meet at on Fridays nights. Chubby's for a more mature atmosphere. People can go grab a beer, eat, and chill, while playing chess. If there are children, members meet at Joe's Pizza...4 blocks away. So, far I've had the cheesesteak sandwich and spicy fries. It was delicious. We meet at BOTH locations at 7 pm. No experience necessary. We have all levels of players young and old.We also meet at Cafe 26 on Saturday afternoons. We have a boardgame Event night on Thursday nights, at Bayown's Vendor Mart from 6 pm to 10 pm. Members bring whatever game they're looking to play. The venue has a few of their own. It's crazy fun. We've also had events at Houlihans. We have other venues in the pipeline, as we continue to grow, as we're now getting members from other towns, like Hoboken, Jersey City, Hoboken, Oldbridge, and Paramus.FINALLY, we have Free group chess lessons on Sundays at Chubby's. We're there from 2 pm until 5 pm. It's RSVP only, as space is limited. As we get more students we may go to another day for chess. But, all in all, Chubby's is a chill place to go, eat, chill, socialize, and PLAY CHESS !! They also have a video game night !!! How did I not know this ???For those interested in getting involved in a group that's growing like crazy, were on Facebook. Look us up. The Bayonne Chess Society & Club.Remember, the chess is free. The venue isn't. Please patronize whatever venue hosts us.“
“One of the best places you can go to for food and drink , never a problem here , the food is killer, all the time , and taps are always super cold , the owner is one of the nicest guys you can meet , this is a lyndhurst staple in the community . Keep coming ..“
“I've only been there three times and i go alone. Im new to the neighborhood. The owner absolutely welcomed me like i was a regular. The ladles behind the bar are really sweet. By the 3rd time i went, already asking me if i want the usual. ... Had the pizza, wings and chicken cutlet sliders. Really good... everyone needs their version of cheers.. this ones mine.“
“This was my first time here. A great little bar that extends to the back where there is a pool table. There is also a dart game on the wall and mini soccer game, which people were using. The space is very clean and well decorated. When we got there we waited about 15min before anyone spoke to me and my wife. There was a little crowd there. We then realized it was the owner, mike's birthday. Everyone was singing happy birthday to him. We ordered drinks, a beer and bacardi for $13 total then a buffalo chicken pizza for $8. $20 minimum to use card. Mike later introduced himself to us and frequently made small talk. He seems like a very good guy who tries to make a bond with his customers. He explained to us how the business was going, a little about himself, introduced us to his family and even offered us jello shots and a shot of liquor on the house, oh and some cake. I would definitely go back here. He makes you feel welcomed. Nice place, good price, good manager.“
