I go here quite a bit and I've never had a bad meal ever. It's the complete opposite, always very satisfied over the top. From drinks to appetizers to meals, and especially that pizza, you can never go wrong.
The Madison wine and tap room is a great addition to the downtown Madison. It is located behind the walgreens with ample of parking. When I went I made a reservation and they needed it since they were busy, the second time a reservation wasn't really needed. In the front there are a bunch of items to pick up for take out with some fresh pasta, cookies, sandwiches. In the back there is a restaurant and bar. The pizzas are amazing ! Nice restaurant with an interesting selection of cocktails. I ended up switching back to vodka martinis, which were excellent. The other choices were a little too sweet for my taste. The food is good as well. Beet salad was excellent, short ribs were pretty good. The hamburgers didn't look like anything special but no complaints at my table. Limited menu but everyone found something. The atmosphere and service were good, nice big bar.
