Dishes are absolutely always well-seasoned, with a good balance of spices. The atmosphere is always welcoming, with friendly service, and generous portions. Attentive and knowledgeable staff who are happy to offer recommendations and explain dishes. We’ve been coming here for years and converted many of our friends to Indian food, due to this place. The food and service never disappoints. From the hardworking owners to the amazing staff. Everything is absolutely, delicious.”

“We went mid afternoon, for a late lunch. Had the place to ourselves, which is a shame because the food was GREAT and should be enjoyed at any time of the day! Fresh and delicious. Generous portions, friendly, great atmosphere. We will absolutely return.”

“In town for an event, 8 of us went out for dinner. Everything was so delicious, the 3 of us still in town the next day went back the next night for round two.I personally enjoyed the Red Curry Chicken and Beef Pad Thai. Especially of note is their General Tso's Chicken which was ordered both nights, as it is mostly chicken, not cheap breading like a lot of other places. The Shrimp Shumi were also reordered on day two. The prices were completely reasonable as well. I would 100% return to this restaurant for round three.

Parking: Parking was easy as not a lot of people were there when we were, however I could see it getting crowded when busy.

“I was super excited to find this place! I think I've seen this place listed as China Place, and I'm glad it showed up on google as Taiwan place. Taiwanese food is unique in it's complexity and history of different ingredients and cooking styles from it's history of colonialism.

I got Oyster Omelette and Taiwanese Meatball (bawan), #1 and #2. The Taiwanese meatball is delicious, and full of the correct ratios of meat and bamboo. It's a tapioca wrap with fillings!

The Oyster Omelette tasted good too, with a sweet orange red tangy sauce. I don't know the name of this sauce, but it's authentic to my time in Taiwan. There was a good amount of oysters in the omelette! The difference was there was more vegetables in it than I expected.
Overall, I wish this place was closer to me and that they were more people visiting this place! From what I've had so far, it's pretty authentic food. I was concerned about the menu being large and the freshness of the ingredients; since it seems like the restaurant is not very busy, but that was not an issue at all.

“Best lo mein in the area. I get mine with roast pork. This was my secondary place after House of Chong, also in Middletown, which has unfortunately been lacking lately. Tai Hing just moved up to number one. They are cleverly closed on Tuesdays instead of Mondays, since so many restaurants are closed then. The prices are also really fair and a good value. I’ll get a picture next time, I scarfed it all down too quickly LOL.”

“my husband and I have been coming to mjs for years whether it's for a lunch date or dinner with our kids MJS never disappoints. the food is always on point, no matter what we get it is always delicious. a few top favorites chicken Italiano sandwich, their homemade thousand island dressing for salads is out of this world, french dip is the best i've ever had. ahi tuna app to dye for! if ur lucky enough to get Emma as your server or Bartender you will not be disappointed she is always so personable attentive knows the menu really well and makes a mean expresso martini! she treats our kids like gold and keeps them entertained. Mjs is a well oiled machine run by the best manager I've ever seen. Dyan's attention to detail and making the place feel so welcoming and having everything that comes out of the kitchen on point she makes sure the servers and bartenders are very well trained. if she's there working she is always there greeting the guests and helping the staff make sure every guest has an amazing experience.She will also help you throw a sweet party and works with you to keep the price within your budget while giving you the best bang for your buck. she does an amazing job transforming the dining area into a great party space. I've had my son's christening, baby shower, birthday parties here in the dining room each time Dyan has gone above and beyond making sure everything was perfect. whether you are considering having a party or going to dinner or lunch do not pass MJS in Middletown up you will not regret it. & if you want a fun night out- Monday night bingo is always a hit or looking for something to do during NFL Sunday game day head to mjs it is an amazing atmosphere and great specials!”

“I see reviews that don't make sense. china palace has never been a dimsum place. nearby crown palace was dimsum and it closed this year.\nchina palace does take out only and is attached to a bowling alley the family owns. the food is good and they have some stuff other chinese places don't like noodle soups. the service isn't going to make you feels special but we are regulars and they give us some extras sometimes.\nwe go regularly so can attest that their food is consistent.”

“We came here on a Friday night around 9:30pm. This location does not have a drive through, which I didnt realize at the time. I felt bad for coming in so late but my children were really hungry! The staff was sooooo welcoming and friendly. I apologized that we were there so close to closing and they were all so kind and encouraged us to enjoy our meal and take our time. Shout out to Tiffany for especially being so sweet!”
