“Come here quite often for alcohol, they have a great selection for a small spot. Recently, I finally went there for a meal and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Staff was pleasant and quick with service. The only issue is the place is rather small and tables are limited.“

Their location is great because just a few feet away out back is the Henry Hudson Trail, a nice path to walk your doggy!“

“Looking for a true sports bar than go.to Jack's. Great atmosphere, extensive menu and plenty of beers ans drinks to choose from. Food waa excellent and come.hungry, Jack's is not shy on portions. Dessert we had tje apple pie empanadas, wow was that amazing. Come hungry, leave happy and satisfied. The only drawback is the 3% charge.om C.C but worth itJoe C“

“I had mild wings, and my wife had chicken tenders and tots. All the food was great, along with the fried pickle appetizer we ordered. My wife did not care too much for the honey mustard with her meal. She said it was more mustard than honey. That seems to be the case in most places we go. Other than that one thing, everything was great!Parking: This location is part of a much larger parking lot in the Monmouth Mall. They do have a smaller private parking lot and is where we parked today...“

“Ate here today for the 1st time, sat at the bar and were served by two very friendly and attentive bartenders. Ordered the skirt steak with rice and fries, it was fantastic! Atmosphere was great, very clean, a lot of TVs, and club music in the background. If you enjoy traditional Portuguese & Brazilian food, you most definitely want to try this place. “Apple Jacks is great. The owner John fixed me and hubby up back in 1987. The bar is really fun and they don't only have parties they have parties for the kids to. When my kids were little they had a big party and put a jumping blow up thing in the parking lot for the kids and they also got Ralph the other owner dress up as Santa Clause and have the kids sit on his lap and get presents.“

“Stopped at Val's Tavern because we had a 2 hour gap between a wedding and reception. Service was excellent and so was the food. Our server, Gabby, went above and beyond when we needed some Tylenol. HIGHLY recommend Val's!“

“I went her for dinner on a Saturday night with my teen after a lacrosse event at Capelli Sports Complex. We were seated immediately at 6:30. Service was excellent. There were a few generally popular beers on tap - I had the Sam Adam's Winter Lager. We started with mozzarella sticks. Then, we both ordered burgers and fries. Everything was really good. My teen said that he liked his burger better than our regular burger joint at home (!). There were lots of TVs available but it was a not loud or crazy, even on a Saturday night. Great spot!“

“A well stocked liquor store with a cozy bar. I stopped by to pick up some wine for a house party and the owner John was very helpful with assisting me with the wine selections. I decided to have a Guinness at the bar and Coleen the bartender was very pleasant and accommodating. I highly recommend this establishment. Very clean, very friendly staff and customers. “Poole Ave Bar is our spot. We stop by twice a week for some food and drinks, but most of all the laughs from the characters that frequent the bar. And, there are some characters... but it's what makes this spot enjoyable. It's a townie bar where everyone ends up knowing your name. Everyone is super friendly, including the staff. Manager Meredith is very accommodating with respect to directing me to the table where my beloved Rams will be featured on the big screen..My bartender/ waitress- Sanai- is an absolute delight and treats me like a king (I'm so grateful for her attention and conscientiousness)..Thus far, I've only ordered beef nachos. “MJ's is great place to go for happy hour. It's also not to be missed during the summer. Their outdoor dining setup is absolutely amazing. Right on the lake, they have plenty of outdoor seating and the background is so nice! The food in and of itself is pretty basic. This is not where the foodies and 5 star eaters go. However, for a nice lunch or happy hour drinks, this place does the trick! Typical bar food, some sushi options and sugary cocktails. The service is always decent and the place is huge so the waits are never very long. They also have banquet halls so you will often see weddings, private parties etc which can be nice if you like to people watch. They also have a DJ on weekend nights which can be nice but annoying if you are just coming for dinner. Not a date spot, but a great spot for a casual hang.“

The bad did a good job serving drinks and a reasonable pace. The staff was very friendly and d helpful. They did have some tvs on the normal dinning room for those that are interested. This is family friendly and comfortable for everyone.“
