We just hosted my daughter's 5th birthday party at Splurge and had an outstanding experience. There were four people staffing the party and they were enthusiastic and patient with the kids as they made personal pizzas (that they ate for lunch) and decorated cupcakes. The kids were engrossed and happy the entire time and both pizza and cupcakes were delicious - as was the deep dish cookie birthday cake (you could choose from a few options). All the parents who waited around commented on what a fabulous time their kids were having! Highly recommend for a special birthday experience.

We recently ordered Cake Shots for our toddler’s class party and they were a hit! They are perfectly sized, mess-free cupcakes in a cup for a small treat for kids and adults! The cupcake was moist and rich with just the right amount of creamy and sweet icing on top and in between the cupcake layers. Online ordering was super easy and everyone in the shop was pleasant and helpful. We liked everything so much, we just ordered more for an upcoming party this weekend! They even make dessert platters too, which we ordered! The one thing to know is that when purchasing regular cupcakes, they must sit out at room temperature for an hour or a little more for the cupcake to soften; if not, it will be a little cold and hard. Once we followed those directives they gave us, the cupcake was just as soft, fresh, and tasty as the cupcake cake shots!

Very dry cake. Nice designs but cake is horrible. Cake pops were underbaked too. Either it was done on a bad day or they need to hire new bakers not cake artist. Would not recommend for an edible cake only if you want cake as a prop/display!

The presentation was lovely. This is the 2nd cake I ordered from them. The first time it was very dry. But I figured I'd give it another try. I even told the girl on the phone last time it was very dry. Assuming it was either stale or just over cooked. She assured me they would make it fresh. So needless to say I was a little upset since the cake it was over $50 and very small. They really need to work on that. If it was moist I would not mind paying the money, since it was pretty. I'm not sure I will ever order from them again.

Was driving by and saw this place and was so excited because they had great reviews walked in and the front desk lady was taking an order for someone on a very detailed cake so we had to wait 10 minutes before she even decided to acknowledge us and ask somebody from the back to come help us. It wasn’t until I whispered to my friend. Why don’t we leave that she was like I’ll get someone to help you. then the girl came to help us. She gave us wrong information about the cupcakes, telling us that there was no nuts or raisins in the carrot cake, but there clearly was. And that is just the beginning. We were extremely disappointed with the taste and quality of the food. Everything was frozen or refrigerated cupcakes. The icing was hard, and they tasted like they had been in the fridge for three days.

I must give this bakery and Julie a five star review! Last weekend, I went to pick up my son's cake for his 3rd birthday party. He had been asking for six months for this specific cake, a music cake, and was so excited. When I got there, I was told there was some sort of glitch in the system and the order was placed for the following weekend. I was panicked because I didn't want to disappoint my little 3-year -old! Julie was so kind and so apologetic. She felt terrible and went out of her way to make things right. She was great! She sent me a video of the cake the same day to make sure we liked it and she made sure the cake was made and delivered to me the next day and offered a partial refund without me even asking. That is a grade A business owner in my opinion! I can't thank Julie and her team enough! The cake was not only adorable but also delicious and my son was thrilled!

The staff there is super nice and were very helpful with storage and serving instructions. I could not recommend them enough to anyone who is looking for small or large orders. My order that was placed two weeks prior to pick up was not ready. No one seemed to know what to do. They started to pack my order but were giving me wrong flavors of cake balls. Finally straightened that out. Not cheap for cake balls that did not look like what i ordered from website. They tasted awful. We tried one of each three flavors and threw them all out. A waste!
My friend surprised me with a birthday cake from this establishment and it was incredibly disappointing. I want to start out by saying that visually the cake was ABSOLUTELY stunning. After reading the reviews and seeing the photos of cakes I was so excited to eat my birthday slice! However, the interior of the cake was SO dry it crumbled. I am not exaggerating. My wife tried a bite and she stated the same. It was like eating a chocolate spoonful of sand. Additionally the icing on the cake has a weird artificial taste to it. I am actually less sad that my birthday cake was terrible and more sad that my sweet friend spent her precious money on an inedible cake. I’d like to add that the cake did sit out for the suggested time period that they suggest. PLUS extra hours as well. It was totally thawed out and still crumbly like chalk. And as a professionally trained chef of 16 years, I can tell you that no amount of letting the cake sit to reach room temperature would remedy it.

This is the second time I had my cake done at their shop,and I’m very satisfied. The bakery is very nice,and the people are friendly! The cakes are beautiful and definitely worth the price you pay. I chose a vintage design that’s super girly, super extra. It turned out so great. Thank you splurge!

So disorganized you will be lucky to get your order on time and made correctly. Very dirty place. Takes forever to order with the owner because she can't think properly. Will start talking to other people while you are on the phone with them and get distracted like a dog who saw a squirrel. Too expensive for what you get. All cakes is made and frozen for weeks ahead of time and decorated nearly a week prior. Terrible business.
