“Brandon was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about coffee, and has a wide variety of offerings at his shop. He told me that he experiments with different brewing methods (e.g. conical filter, flat filter, hybrid immersion drippers) for each coffee to ensure that every cup of coffee served is the best that it can be.As a former barista and coffee roaster, I can confidently say that Brandon puts more thought and care into each drink than the vast majority of cafes in NJ.I would highly recommend Brew Coffee Bar to anyone looking for a good coffee experience, but especially for people who will appreciate Brandon's extreme dedication to his craft.“

“Their sweet milk cold brew is to die for!!! So smooth, so much better than Dunkin or Starbucks. Their coffee is not bitter which I love. All of the baked goods we have had are very good. Only complaint I have is that I wish there was more seating or at least time limits for those who sit there for a long time on their laptops.“

“My favorite breakfast/brunch location. There's often a long wait, so I guess a lot of people agree with me, but it is well worth the wait. The food is prepared perfectly, the portions are large, the coffee is great, the service is quick and friendly, and prices for all that are quite reasonable.I love this place!We were among the earliest customers on this, their 1st day of reopening, following a month closure for renovations in both the kitchen and dining areas. The food was excellent (as usual), the service was the same high standard we have come to enjoy, the prices remain competitive, and the new look is modern & refreshing. “Prep Coffee has ruined other local cafes for me. Here's why : 1. Amazing staff, always friendly: the owners + baristas are super attentive and have a great, welcoming attitude. They offer great suggestions and recommendations. 2. Family atmosphere: Once you become a regular, you meet other regulars which is cool! Prep attracts all types of people, from young families, to gym goers, to students. Everyone is welcome. 3. Coffee is really good: I am very specific about the taste of my coffee, and Prep nails it every-time. I usually get variations of the same thing - espresso, cortado, cold brew, or a latte. I don't like sugary drinks, so there is nothing to hide behind when it comes to the quality and flavor of the beans that a coffee shop uses, and my coffee always tastes great! They do offer a wide variety of unique drinks like peanut butter and zesty orange lattes if you're adventurous and like your coffee sweet. 4. Food is really good: The food here is delicious. To me, the menu has a nice variety, and is worth the price you pay. I have gone to plenty of local cafes that overcharge for small flavorless bites and that is not what I get at Prep. 5. “My husband and I love this place!! We worked with the owner Sam to cater coffee and speciality drinks for our wedding in 2022. She went above and beyond for us. I only have nice things to say about California Coffee Co. Amazing coffee, drinks, candles, etc! My favorite drink is the Pumpkin La Jolla and my husband loves the Lavender Lemonade. 1000000/10 for this place!“

“This place is great. My only complaints are feeling overwhelmed by the menu and not having coffee syups. I got three donuts, and the Queen B donuts were both innovative and amazing. It made me wish I had gotten more. The staff were very friendly and kind, helping me navigate the menu as well as the patient. The coffee was solid. Can't wait to come back and get more donuts.“

“Very good breakfast. Hit the spot. Went around 10:30 place was full but was able to get a seat pretty quickly. I had a belly buster omelet and my mother had eggs over easy with a ham steak. We both had coffee. Hers was nice mine was hot. Our bill was roughly 10 dollars cheaper than most of the breakfast places we go to, only catch is CASH ONLY - but super worth it.“

“Just stopped in to grab their soup and some ice cream.I couldn't decide on just one soup so I got 2, the vegetable & lobster bisque and they are both so good. The flavors are delicious, the amount & variety of vegetables in the veggie soup are perfect. The lobster bisque it was a great portion of soup & lobster.Also, I've had there ice cream several times but always go back for my favorite Almond Joy.Their staff is always welcoming and pleasant too every time.Love this little gem in Keyport.“

“Turning Point is a GREAT place for breakfast or brunch. They close at 2 so I haven’t visited for lunch yet. The food is excellent, the decor is modern a bright, and the service is top notch. They have plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. I appreciate that the manager stopped by our table to make sure we had a pleasant experience. We did! “Ordered 3 dozen bagels and 2lbs of cream cheese for a store breakfast. I didn’t know it was cash only and I had to use my company Amex. The owner saw I how frazzled I was a GAVE me the food on them. I can’t say enough about how much he saved my morning. Not only was he incredibly nice and thoughtful, but the bagels were amazing! Huge hit, all of the customers loved them! “We stopped here unexpectedly when seeing it after eating at the pizzeria next door. There is a tent outside the front door of the restaurant where you could sit outside at a bench if you like. We had parked at the metered parking lot across the street, so we needed to put another quarter in to stay and have dessert here. It's a Portugese / Brazilian restaurant & bakery. We were shocked to see that it opens at 4:40 in the morning! There were several breakfast dishes on the menu. They also had sandwiches, empanadas, and most importantly desserts ! I was excited to see they had chocolate flan ! Omg this was sooooo good. It had chocolate sprinkles on top AND they drizzled chocolate sauce over it. It was so creamy and decadent. I highly recommend this for chocolate lovers. My husband and his brother split a piece of cake. To me, it slightly tasted like sweet cornbread with chocolate icing. To go for the next morning, I took home one of their dulce de leche donuts. Omg this is so good. The donut is not as sweet as an American donut, it's more sweet bread-like. It was absolutely filled with dulce de leche caramel and topped with powdered sugar. The guy that waited on us was very friendly and I think he was amused at my excitement finding all these goodies there. The inside of the restaurant is very casual with several small tables. This place was fairly popular as folks kept walking in and ordering. This is definitely worth the stop here for their baked goods.“

“This was my first time visiting Duck Donut's so the person at the register welcomed me, spent lots of time going through the menu, asking questions about my preferences, and making recommendations. He was so kind and helpful (Receipt says his name is S_King)! My donuts were prepared quickly and they were so fresh and delicious. I really love the maple glaze and highly recommend any donut that comes with it.“

“in november i was taking a walk and suddenly i felt very disoriented and light headed and my heart was pounding. i came here and ordered an egg cheese ham bagel and got an arizona iced tea thinking maybe i was hungry or my blood sugar was low. but i still felt this way for an hour or 2 and i was seeing stars. they told me the store was closing and they were cleaning up and i told them what was happening and the owner asked if i needed an ambulance and i said i couldnt make the walk back home as it was super dark and it was already hard to see because of my vision being dim and i didnt know if i would pass out, and i told him i didnt have a ride home and he said his wife would be leaving work soon and she could drop me off, but i didnt want to trouble him so i said it was okay and i managed to get my dad to drop me off at my house. very sweet people, i am glad they showed care.“

Today I went and it was not busy, I ordered two drinks and food and from start to finish I was there for only 4 minutes!! “Life changing doesn’t even begin to describe the wonderful experience I had here. The moment I walked in I felt like I had just walked into a small açaí shop on a playa (beach in spanish). The bowls that they create are exquisite and SO DELICIOUS. I got a mango and chia bowls and it was an out of body experience. There is a ping pong table.The skill of the employees?? WOW. the way that the beautiful young lady serving me sliced up the bananas looked like she had been doing it for decades. I will be coming here EVERY SINGLE DAY. “We received an item that was damaged during shipment. They initially offered to replace the part, but due to the machine they graciously agreed to return the item. The staff have been in constant communication n the return status. I would highly recommend using them for all high end coffee machine purchases.“

These 3 hustled so well together helping each other out. To my surprise, the manager Mike came back in as he was leaving (jacket and hat on) to bag up the milk/cups/ sugar , etc and brewed the first batch to support them. “Having grown up in Brooklyn, NY, I've become accustomed to a certain level of quality which I expect from a "good" bagel store and unfortunately many NJ bagel shops miss the mark. Bagel Hut however, checks all the boxes, putting them in the "great" category. They have: * A Clean and properly maintained kitchen. * Freshly boiled then baked, soft on the inside/firm on the outside bagels. * A variety of delicious cream cheese spreads made in-house. * Quality sandwich construction for traditional fresh lox or egg and meat based breakfast staples. * Wide assortment of coffees/beverages * Some tables to have your breakfast there or on-the-go. * And most importantly, an incredibly hard-working, down-to-Earth, immigrant family man, running the place with old-school, no-nonsense, quality and service. Matawan easily has at least half a dozen bagel options. I've tried them all, and I keep returning to Bagel Hut even though it isn't the closest or quickest sometimes. The food and service are exactly the way New Yorkers expect them to be and every time I go there, it makes NJ feel more and more like "home" for a transplant from Brooklyn like me.“
