“Had a few hours to kill before my flight at EWR. Looked up restaurants near the airport, found this and I’m so glad I did. Friendly staff, delicious Beyond Burger wrap w sweet potato tots, and a deeeeelish freshly made strawberry lemonade. Highly recommend! I’m keeping this place in my fav saves. If I’m ever back in Newark NJ I’m def stopping back. That drink was so perfect for the hot day!“

“Arrived on path and searched “food near me” saw the pictures of the wings and immediately decided to go here and it lived up to the rating. Everything was delicious, the wings were perfectly crunchy but still very juicy. The sauces were great with garlic parm being my favorite. The chimichurri burger was excellent and the beer batter rings were delicious. Ice cold beer would’ve took everything over the top but a jarrito was a great second choice. Will definitely come back whenever I’m in the area.“

“We were looking for popular local food places to try (things we don't usually get back home) and I'm glad we chose Taste Buds! I had BBQ Chicken with candied yams and sautéed spinach. My husband had the BBQ chicken mac and cheese bowl. We also tried a little of the BBQ pulled pork fries. IT WAS ALL DELICIOUS! Best soul food we have EVER had. If we were local, we would definitely frequent this place!“

“Leo F. 7/13/2024 Heading to the Janet Jackson concert last week, with a couple of friends and discovered this great spot. Decided to drop in for a drink and a small bite. Great atmosphere and the Service was great as well. My bartender, Sara was welcoming, warm and quite skilled. She made me the best old-fashioned I've had in a long time. Believe me, I've had my share of bad ones. It went well with the pizza. Great vibe in this very chill atmosphere.“

“We stopped in on a whim before heading to Prudential Center, had the most beautiful and tasty drinks and delicious dinner, we split Salmon Sliders, Lobster tacos an order of maple buffalo wings, and the best Brussels sprouts I have ever had! The staff and service was amazing, everything had perfect timing and the atmosphere was everything we were looking for! After the show we even went back for dessert! Ordered more drinks along with their cognac bread pudding and sweet potato cheesecake. “My children and I were on a stop over in New Jersey recently, making our way back from a holiday in South Africa, when we needed breakfast as we tried to adjust to the time change. Central Restaurant was a little bit of a drive from our airport hotel (about 5 miles), but they were open at 6:00 am and the online menu showed promise. The restaurant is a neighborhood greasy spoon, with all the cast of characters you would expect of such a place. The owners are Greek transplants, the clientele is mostly the black neighbors who live nearby, a line up of police officers and construction workers waiting for to-go orders, and travelers like us who may or may not know what they are in for. I saw grits on the menu which told me everything I needed to know about this place. They did not disappoint. First thing - to the restroom. If it’s clean you know the kitchen will be in order also. It was tiny, but clean and smelled good. My son ordered the Denver omelet with grits, I ordered fish and grits, and my daughter ordered the French toast breakfast with a side of grits. The grits were on point - creamy with that pat of butter pooling on the top. The French toast was just the right amount of crunchy (on the edges) and tender with a tiny bit more cinnamon for enhanced flavor. The Denver omelet was well cooked with just a bit of browning on top, but a tender and medium soft interior. The fish was unexpected as it had a coating and it was fried. But, the exterior was crunchy with a flaky tender flesh interior. I can’t speak to the rest of the menu, but our orders were all A-plus calibre for a neighborhood greasy spoon. If you like this kind of atmosphere and breakfast food, don’t miss out if you happen to be in town!“

“My connecting flight was at gate A15 in Newark airport. I stopped for breakfast which was delicious!! I got the brisket, egg and cheese. The brisket was smokey and very flavorful & the jalapeño green sauce, cilantro and other toppings just brought it to the next level. The restaurant next to Carlitos was charging $20-$25 for breakfast so it feels like a steal that I got my delicious breakfast for less than $10.

They have seating with outlets do you can charge your phone; very convenient since I’m at an airport & my power drained during my first flight.

“This place is amazing! I have celiac disease and have a hard time finding safe places to eat. I had the gluten free chicken tender platter and chocolate chip cookies, which were both unbelievable. The wait staff was incredibly kind and attentive and explained that everything was prepared separately using a dedicated fryer. My gluten consuming family also loved their food. My husband said it was the best pastrami he’s ever had and my son had an “extra cheesy” grilled cheese. The owner visited our table and introduced himself. Cannot recommend this place enough!“

“so i ordered pancakes from here and while the pancakes themselves were quite good, they charged an outrageous amount for strawberries that were soggy and bland. if they used fresh strawberries then it would maybe be a 5/5 but if you like strawberries then perhaps you should go elsewhere. otherwise im sure you’ll have a great time with the pancakes. i also had a peach mango smoothie and that was pretty good.“

I really enjoyed the band ( Unfinished Bizzness ) and I enjoyed the music that was played when the band took a break. A very nice mature crowd having a good time together.... I can't speak about the food because I had dinner prior to going to the Priory, however the food smelled and looked good.....My first experience was a very pleasant experience.... Can't wait to go again!!!“

“By far the best sporting date I took myself on thus far. A bit tight to eat when someone is next to you but A1 service. Everyone was very professional. The food prime rib was a bit cold but tasty while the mini donuts for dessert were excellent. I do not believe I will ever watch another hockey game from general seats while by myself again. Now I must look into these types of seats for other events. #Spolied
