An excellent spot with quite a large menu. Had a pastrami sandwich that was superb and the staff are very friendly. Would highly recommend.

Great place owner is pretty cool . I had a reuben and a Italian sandwich. The Italian sandwich was my favorite more than the reuben very fresh. Parking is very hard to find I would recommend calling in advance and placing an order. For two Reuben’s and a Italian sandwich came to $39. I would definitely say give it a try!

this company refused to offer me service because I "did not give delivery man a tip" when I infact did. A tip is not mandatory and I should not be denied service because yall dont pay your driver enough. I gave this man a tip, if it wasnt as grand as he wanted thats not my problem! Writing my name down and refusing me the option of buying food is crazy and not good business!

This sun-shined Street, is seconds off of Broad street Newark. Cafe Airlie is like walking into Cheers (The 80’s TV show where everyone knows your name). The owner/ manager is the friendliest person. Calling everyone that walk in by name. I soon felt like I was eating breakfast in my living and talking with my family. Everyone one that came in seems to interact. It really felt like home. The breakfast platter was yummy. Yesterday I had a chopped salad. Checkout their menu. I’m sure you’ll find something you like. Shop local. Eat with friends or family. This cafe was clean and had spacious seating. The staff was friendly. Come on in.Parking: Plenty of places to park and walk over .Kid-friendliness: The owner seams to be friendly with the school kids. I think that is Awsome since they are future members of this community.

The food is always fresh you may have to double park however if you call ahead they will do their best to get you in and out quickly. They are worth it the salads are great and the airlie wrap is awesome.

Good food. Place is very busy. Get there before 11:45 am and you are good. Or, place an order earlier so it is ready when you get there. Sometimes they are so busy that they don't pick up the phone. Hard working folks in there. Casual ambiance. Not a date night place. lol.
My boyfriend was craving a hot pastrami sandwich for lunch and looked all over Newark’s downtown area for a good place. Boy oh boy were we lucky to find this cute deli hidden between shops in the middle of Commerce Street! The sandwiches we ordered were tasty, grand in size and appropriately priced! This will definitely be our go-to shop for sandwiches from now on!! The cooks and staff were beyond friendly as well as professional. We absolutely recommend Cafe Airlie!!!!

Great tasting sandwiches, however the wait is awful. Expect to be here 15 minutes or more if you don't order ahead of time. Cashier completely forgets to process orders and gets distracted most of the time.
