The worst place to go if you want to enjoy an evening. The servers smoke on your face. The food is terrible and overpriced. I ordered a hump steak dish and I asked the meat cooked in one piece, but it was served in three slices. However, the top slice was hump steak and the other two slices were a different meat hard to chew. The server brought me a uncooked slice of the meat to prove it was hump steak but it had a square shape and said nobody ever complained about it. My previous visit I was served old fries and over fried chicken pieces. I will never come back again to this place but if you do be prepared for bad service. So many good places to go at the Ironbound you not waste your time here.

Worst experience a I have, I asked medium a I received well we’ll done after waiting more 1 hour. I not receive a single sorry by the manager. The waiter was super attentive. This place never more.

I went in during the Brazilian festival on Sunday and I realized that a drink I didn't ordered was given to me and when I asked what it was I was given which wasn't my drink I got much attitude from the bar tenders that ill never go back. I simply asked if my drink was a mojito when it clearly tasted like pure alchol and the bar tender told me to clam down. Ill never do back because of the attitude. Hopefully you guys get a better experience but I heard so many good things from this bar as its women friendly but if the bar tender women can't talk to us properly I'll just spend my money elsewhere.
It's not Estrela da Ponderosa anymore. Now it's Barretos!!! I was there for a birthday party in the second floor. The only time we came downstairs to the bar to have a drink it took the bartender 5 minutes to understand what we wanted.... mind me we just wanted 3 shots : vodka , Jack Daniel's and sambuca. Nothing fancy....Not to mention that they had 6 people working behind the bar and we had to call them for attention.They have live music on the weekends though.... mostly Brazilian I believe.Anyway take a look and see for yourselves.

The restaurant is under new management. I expected a change, yet customer service is great as always. The food tastes awesome. And the portions are big. If there is an ingredient in the menu that is not of your liking they are very accommodating. Eating at the bars is like being with family. Very good food, still Portuguese, but now a new addition is the Brazilian cuisine. They make us feel like home. The price is very accessible. My waiter was Jozimar and he was really very attentive.
