A great meal. Fresh fish with fresh vegetables. I had the horse mackerel which was delicious. The server was very attentive and had great suggestions for our meal. She raved about the rice pudding.
I've been going to this restaurant for the past 34 years. The food is just inexplicable good, fresh, delicious and the service is exceptional at all points!!!!if you ever in Newark for any reason, you must go to this place.Owner operated for decades.This is the true Portuguese Rustic/Homemade food for the soul!Just like that!!!

The restaurant is under new management. I expected a change, yet customer service is great as always. The food tastes awesome. And the portions are big. If there is an ingredient in the menu that is not of your liking they are very accommodating. Eating at the bars is like being with family. Very good food, still Portuguese, but now a new addition is the Brazilian cuisine. They make us feel like home. The price is very accessible. My waiter was Jozimar and he was really very attentive.
