With regards to halal restaurants in Newark, there aren't a lot to choose from. I was in town and needed a bite to eat and Grandma's Kitchen was appealing primarily because it looked clean. I chose a basis beef kebab wrap and was pleasantly surprised by the tender beef, fresh bread and friendly service. To top it off, there was fresh, quality coffee available which was a nice treat.
