I used to come here in person long ago, back when it was under another name or management. I searched for this place but couldn't find it under the old name. I was happy to have thought to search by location as it is placed in an usual area of Newark. Very much like my earlier visits it was busy and the bread was freshly baked. Definitely a very good sandwich spot - cold deli meat subs are the way to go here. It's a grab and go type of place, not much space to dine in and no A/C, but the sandwiches are worth it the walk. They remind me of the South Jersey/Philly quality subs I grew up eating that are honestly hard to find around here. My favorite is the turkey sandwich with bacon added.
Around Newark Penn Station, your food options are fairly limited. From McDonald's to Subway, and quick pizza, there really isn't anything that I'd really label as freshly made. However, if you're feeling adventurous, and are willing to venture out onto the streets. then The Sandwich Club is a good alternative.
