Tasty, well seasoned and deliciously savory. Higgs Kitchen is a hidden gem. The food is great, the portions are generous and the prices are excellent. I am hoping to see the menu expanded so we can get more of this tasty goodness.
Late night? Fresh? Bang for your buck? Things I never expect to go together and they hit all 3. Best 1:30am meal I’ve ordered. Best seafood soul food Alfredo platter I’ve had also (and I’ve tried a few ig chefs that do this DMV concept). Normally the Alfredo sauce is bland and flavorless with old bay being used like paprika for appearance (took my seasonings out automatically when it came) but the sauce was actually flavorful. Food was hot. Salmon and broccoli was ok but the mashed potatoes are instant potatoes and the sauce is from a jar with old bay on top. The shrimp is NOT jumbo. Extra sauce from a jar for $3 and it's tiny... just stop it. Overall it's tasty but not worth the money.
