I moved to Union, NJ from NYC (Harlem to be exact) and where I’m from there’s a variety of African food that’s so delicious so I was praying that my food would be the same. Thank you so much to the Chef, my Egusi with Fish and pounded Yam was so delicious! I will definitely be ordering from you guys again. Thank You, Thank You and Thank You???

1/29/2024 my first time having African food. My friend insisted on trying together. She’s experienced and made a special request and the cook AYO listened and accommodated the request. i had the Egusi soup with chicken and fufu. 10/10 such a delicious dish very well prepared ! i recommend giving this small business a try. Friendly customer service and the food was made fresh and served with a smile.

Save your money or spend it elsewhere. There are better options for Nigerian food in the area. The jollof was bland. The selection and portion size for assorted meat were a joke. The ponmo (iykyk) was hard as rubber. The plantains were barely ripe. They seriously need to improve the quality of the food and stop cutting corners to save costs.

Because we were flying in to NJ for Thanksgiving, we had our dinner catered by Why go far African Cuisine. Mr. Ayo went above and beyond to ensure every item was ready and delivered on time. The food was delicious and he even added a few things without charge. He was polite, courteous and even advised us to remove an entree that might not be needed.Great food!Excellent customer service!Thank you.

The food was good. I had the egusi and pounded yam but it wasn’t spicy unfortunately. Maybe it’s cater toward ls African Americans to try. But it’s well seasoned and taste great.

Tasty food! I love their ayamase! Their food is fresh as they make it when you order. Very friendly and nice people and clean restaurant! I am always so grateful they package my food very very well when I order delivery. They package it carefully so it’s not exposed and it’s kept safe during delivery when I order from Uber eats. They are my constant go to for yummy African food!

The good reviews must be from their friends and family members .. I usually don't have time to leave reviews .. I wld rather just stop patronizing a bad business than wasting my time to leave reviews .. but at this point I think I need to say something..i ordered vegetable soup from this restaurant and it was horrble and salty .. I decided to try egusi today and I still can't believe anyone can cook that horrible. The egusi taste like chemical ..it didn't even taste like food .. there is a difference between food you eat in your house and the one you sell to people... this place is not qualified to be a restaurant. . I never tasted any food so bad in my life. . If you can't cook ..get a security job or Drive uber .. restaurant business is not for everyone.. stop reaping people off with the rubbish you call food

I ordered the okra soup for the first time. The place was not tidy, the food was not good in my opinion. The staff was friendly and very attentive. The meat was old and tough. I ordered based on the views and comments that I read. All I can say is I’ve had better African foods.

This is the only restaurant I order from when I’m in the mood for egusi soup and fufu. I order through UberEats and I’m always satisfied. I apologize to the UberEats delivery drivers who have to come four miles to deliver it ???? I had the goat pepper soup and although I love spicy foods, the goat pepper soup makes me choke. I wish it could be less spicy but it’s probably made in batches. It’s still good but I would enjoy it better if there wasn’t so much pepper.
