“This place was so cozy and lovely, with such tasty food and delightful service! It was so kind of the owner to give us so many free samples with our food! We ordered the (very well priced) sushi combos, which were two special rolls with miso soup (and I got a boba and some kani salad) and it was delicious. The owner also gave us a pot of green tea, veggie gyoza, the house salad, and some blueberries at the end. She came over often to ask how we were doing. We ended up with leftovers because there was so much food. It was also a very cute atmosphere with doodles from the customers all over the walls. I would definitely come back!Vegetarian options: There seemed to be at least one vegetarian option in all the sections.Parking: It was relatively quiet when we went so the lot might fill up if there are more customers but I had no problems.Kid-friendliness: There were markers, notepads and a sheet to doodle on, if any customers came with kids. “We are local but never stopped in before. My wife and I, one daughter and her fiance came in during the week between Christmas and New Years. No one was sitting down but it was a little early and there was a lot of take out order activity the entire time we were there.Three of us ordered a total of 8 different rolls and some rice/noodles for my wife . I has the Crunchy Tempura Shrimp roll and the Cream Cheese roll with crab and I would order both again. Everyone enjoyed their selections and other then the noodles and rice, our plates were clean. My wife took what remained for her noodles and rice home as leftovers. We also ordered the Thai Donut to share for desert, based on other reviewers suggestions, and it was really good.Towards the end of our meal, another 2 groups came in and sat down so we weren't the only ones sitting down to eat. We will come back for sure to get items we liked and try out some others.“

“We really like Masago! We've been ordering their lunch specials for about a year, and the food has always been fresh and consistent with reasonable pricing for the 3 roll combo. We look forward to it every week. Once you order from them on the phone, you can leave your food and payment preferences on file, so calling them and re-ordering is super quick. Delivery during lunch time is usually within 30 minutes, and they will leave the food on your porch if you ask.“

“If I could give this place a 10 I would. We used to go to this intimate BYO sushi place every friday on the way home from work. We would meet at the sushi bar and get to say hi to the regulars...felt like home. The owners are amazing, welcoming and remember their customers...what we like and don't like. I never had to tell them I wanted no ginger or a diet coke because they remembered exactly what I like. The fish is so fresh and the menu is very creative. The sushi chef puts his heart into every dish and is so happy for you to come up before you go to let him know how you loved your meal. This is our go-to when we have friends in town because we always know we will have a consistent level 10 meal and a really fun time. We miss going every week since we moved but we make sure to go visit our sushi fam as much as possible because we were so spoiled by them!“

“This was my second visit to Tempura Place. It was a Saturday at 3:30pm. I had never eaten any kind of sushi in my 50 years and I decided to dive in here. I've ordered the spicy tuna and the spicy crab. Sense a theme? I guess a total of one person could technically eat-in but this is primarily take-out. I was informed it would take 10 minutes to prepare but it was done before that. I watched Korean Broadcasting Company on the television as I waited. I experienced pleasant service and great food. Waribashi chopsticks were included.“

“I Love Tawara Mart. It's such a great find to have an authentic Japanese market nestled in the main street of Ramsey. They have just as good a variety of Japanese foods, snacks, & food ingredients. They even rival dare I say exceed in variety of Japanese goods from purses, toys, stickers and more. I once had a nice conversation with the store owner, I believe her name was Kiko; she regularly travels back & forth to Japan to get the latest and greatest from back home so you know it's legit. More people need to discover for themselves this great little slice of Japan right in the heart of Ramsey.“

“Had Dynamite avocado spicy tuna roll ten piece..was a beautiful presentation and a delicious complex tastes with the avocado which added creamy texture , had the spiciness of the sauce, the tuna, and the sweet crunch of the apple was bursting with layers of flavor. “Tawara is the hidden gem of NJ! I stumbled upon this restaurant during a road trip last year, and have made it a point to return to the area specifically so I can dine at Tawara again. This place makes the list as one of my favorite restaurants of all time. The pork buns are some of the most delicious things you will ever taste. The sunset roll, spicy beef and sashimi have all been fresh and incredible. Everything I’ve tried on their menu is top quality and taste. Raika is also an excellent hostess, bringing a warm and friendly vibe that makes you feel at home. Overall amazing and highly recommended!“

“It is a friendly family business. We ordered hibachi, tom yum soup, and agedashi tofu. The hibachi was okay but a bit greasy. The agedashi tofu was very greasy. The tom yum soup used celery and carrots instead of the expected ingredients (i.e. no galangal, lemongrass, or lime leaves were detected). Thankfully, the soup was not greasy. Overall, though, most of the food tasted like greasy Chinese food (with some MSG and without douchi or shitake), and I would give it fewer stars, but it was a good amount for the price, and still edible after rubbing some grease away. I suspect the sushi is better but don't like raw fish. It came within 10 minutes despite other patrons being there, including pickup orders. I wouldn't return here, mostly because we almost ran someone over while driving there, who suddenly exited his car while he was driving in the middle of the street, and the food was not my type.“

“This was my first visit to Arigato. It was a Saturday at 5pm. I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki Donburi but was refused since it appears to be a take-out only item for some reason so I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki dish. I enjoyed my meal while listening to background pop tunes and watching traffic pass by. The miso soup was great as was my meal. I got my money's worth including white rice which I added to the teriyaki.“

“Came here for weekday lunch and everything was great! Restaurant is relatively small but is a nice date spot and has a well-themed atmosphere. I ordered edamame and the Maki C which comes with Spicy Tuna, Spicy Salmon, and Spicy California rolls, miso soup, and ginger salad. The edamame and sushi were both fresh and tasty. Staff was efficient and friendly, definitely recommend checking them out!“
