Our meals were absolutely delicious. I had the Butternut Squash Soup and King Salmon with Beurre Blanc with Sundried Tomatoes and my husband had the Scallops with Angel Hair. My beef cut was a little overcooked, but still had good flavors.“

Quite hard to understand the owner due to slight language barrier but very genuine guy and serves amazing food. “Goodfellas restaurant is an awesome experience. The atmosphere is a Goodfellas theme, with a touch of Italian romance. The ambiance of calm, Soft lights, music (live), attentive and courteous staff, delicious food, and at a reasonable price. Free valet parking, and although the place was packed you could communicate easily with each other and staff. I haven’t experienced such a classy place like Goodfellas in a long while. They will be seeing me and mine again. 5+ stars…“

It’s the best pizza in the area, bar none.It’s not your typical pizza like Rays. Pizza here is Neapolitan. The dough is amazing. I typically never eat pizza crusts. But here, I devour them. While all the pizzas are delicious, Diavola pizza is out of this world good.Service is great as well. Very prompt. Everyone is incredibly friendly. Our server was very good and took our order with some special notes without fail. This is our fifth time eating here, and Giovanna did not fail on the food. Cheese steak sandwhich had Sautee onions and plenty of thinly sliced steak. It was delicious. We also had eggs over easy, which was done perfectly. The eggs had those fried little eggs of egg whites. Link sausage was tender, juicy, and very flavorful. Scramble eggs were light and tasty, sliced avocados on top were fresh and complemented the dish nicely. It also came with a fresh fruit cup. A complementary refresh on the coffee is a nice touch. The only downside is that when it's busy, the wait time is long. We have waited .45 mins for a table. Street parking only.“

Located at the Marketplace of Elmwood Park strip mall off of Market Street, my partner and I made a return trip after two years to Al Dente for an early dinner tonight. Reservations were easily made by calling the establishment at the spur of the moment. Greeted by the staff upon entering, the patrons seemed to be enjoying their dinners and were seated promptly by the window. The menu featured typical Italian cuisine with appetizers, salads, pastas, chicken, fish, and veal dishes, as well as a special menu. We decided on their specials and got their homemade spinach and ricotta ravioli with blackened julienne chicken in Alfredo sauce and homemade fettuccine with chopped shrimp and sweet Italian sausage in a vodka pink sauce with shaved provolone. Our meal came with a side salad. Complimentary warm bread accompanied by butter started our meal. Food was always made with fresh ingredients, just the right amount of spice, and unbelievably delicious. Portions were just right. They offer a dessert, but we had no room to even try to have any. The service was excellent and accommodating, and the whole wait staff worked in tandem with each other. The price is comparable to the area, and BYOB adds to the value of the dinner. We continue to recommend it to anyone who either loves genuine Italian food or actually knows what genuine Italian food is supposed to be.“

The shrimp & scallop had nicely seared scallop, with Al dente linguine.Dessert was strawberries with whip cream. Again nice homemade whip cream, but nothing special that I would expect from an expensive restaurant.Atmosphere needs updating - lighting is well placed, but someone saved money and put in harsh white LED lights, which just ruin any romantic feeling. Other aspects are similar.All told, a solid dining experience, good food. Just not super exciting. For that special dinner you won't go wrong, but can do better in Nyack.“

“If fresh authentic homemade pasta is what you crave, this is the place to go. Food is delicious and of high quality. You can taste that everything is authenticly Italian homemade with love and care. It's a limited menu but that is how they can put out such high quality. Prices are not cheap but worth it for the quality and execution. It's a small place with only few tables but we went for lunch and not a problem getting a table. BTW, it's a BYOB“

We had a meeting with the owner who was very nice and helpful towards me and my partners. The food was delicious (highly recommended penne w/ pesto) and the restaurant always has a great environment.
