“Went there with wife we had a great time fantastic food amazing service can't wait to go back”
“We had korean bbq. It was pretty costly, but the meat, as far as I can tell, wasn't cheap meat, so all was good.
They also give you a good variety or banchan and they'll make fried pork belly rice if you leave some pork belly pieces after having the kbbq (add. charge)”
“I wanted to eat Korean food, so I searched and visited.
The gomtang soup is really rich and has no unpleasant smell and is the best.
I also highly recommend the additional boiled pork.”
“I wasn't going to share this place with anyone because I don't want it to get crowded but I have to bc I love it so much. Presenting my new watering hole in Bergen! The location is where the old 21 used to be, on the top floor of the Son Jjajang building. Great happy hour everyday 4-8!! It's a steal considering how good the food is. Happy hour all types of soju are $8.99 and beers are cheap too. All the big dishes on the happy hour menu are between $14-$18 and I think the portion sizes are the same! I have yet to try something that I don't love on the menu. Their: Cheese buldak (fire chicken w/ mozzarella cheese.. ask for medium spicy if you can't do heat!) Jogae sujebi (Korean version of.. gnocchi? in clam broth..I always order another side of sujebi) Donkatsu (breaded & fried pork cutlet) Tofu & kimchi Ddukbokki (spicy rice cakes... I usually ask for cheese on this also lol) Tong dak (whole fried chicken) Gaeran mari (Korean cheese omlette w/ fried garlic on top) Budae jjigae (Korean army soup, goes great with soju!) and weirdly enough their giant plate of FRIES (idk what they do to those fries they're just fries but they're so good lol) are among some of my favorites. However, the food tends to be on the spicier side which isn't an issue for me, but if you can't handle too much spice be sure to tell your waiter. I can't say enough about how good the food is. The chef apparently refuses to use anything but the best ingredients and it shows in the taste of the food. Portions are big too! Obviously I eat here a lot... lol Oh and the servers and manager are all so nice!! One time we had a big party of 10 but they didn't have space so they put us in their only karaoke room in the back. We wanted to watch the US Open but we couldn't figure out the TV in the room so the manager found an HDMI cable and hooked his own cellphone up to it so we could watch. How sweet?!! At the moment they only serve soju and beer but I have been told that they will start offering liquor soon :) Like I said, I don't want this place to get crowded but they deserve the business with food and service like this. I hope they stick around and become a new staple in Pal Park! PS. The menu is entirely in Korean so bring a friend who is fluent or ask the waiters for suggestions! I will definitely have to mention to them that they should make an English version of their menu. Will be back with pictures later!”

“It's been a really long time since I visited. It's been a few years since I came here when my son was in my womb, and as I remember(?) from back then, my son really enjoyed it and my wife and I had a happy dinner.
The managers, servers, and even the owner were very kind and made me feel like I was being treated with respect.
I hope that you will continue to thrive and be able to eat delicious, high-quality food for a long time ?”
“I really liked the food that I got here. When we went, the hotpot stuff was not available so the owner just told us to order off the menu. He reco'ed the gamjatang and it was really good. The meat was so soft and it slid right off. I particularly liked the veggies in there. I also got the bibim guksu (spicy cold noodles). I told the owner I wanted naemyeon so he recommended the bibim guksu. It was really flavourful. Also - who can say no to unlimited kimchi! Highly reco this place. The portions were great for really good prices. And the owner was very nice!”
“The broth in this place is flavorful, and the ingredients are fresh and relatively plentiful. The only complaint I have is the buffet items, they are tasty but in a slow day where they don't run out quick enough, they get a bit dry or soggy depend on the food type. Overall a good place to have shabu shabu with reasonable pricing. Recommend to give this place a try.”

“This place is GREAT!
We were craving for some ttukbokki and kimbop, decided to try for a new place.
Their kimbop is delicious, great fillings and well seasoned seaweed.
Ttukbokki came out nice and hot. Rice cake was nicely cooked and seasoned. But come on, look at the boiled egg, it’s not one of those overcooked yolk!!
Ramyun and udon was also delicious, noodles were done jussssssst right. I will admit that I was a little thrown off by mixed greens on ramyun.
Donkatsu was one of the best as well. Pork was just the right amount of thickness and crispy.
I also don’t feel like crap after eating the food there, not over seasoned with high sodium or MSG.
People were also great there, highly highly recommend it!”
“Most bagel places rush you, but the staff here is super kind and welcoming. Got the chance to chat with the owner who no doubt respects his own business and customers that visit... running the shop with passion and integrity. The food is quality and the customer service is top notch. Definitely coming back again!”

“My family’s go-to spot whenever we’re up in palisades park. The noodles are absolutely amazing, I actually prefer the sujebi over the noodles and it is equally as good. The starters are also good and the side dishes are always fresh, portion sizes are good and definitely worth the price!”
“The request was find the best pizza near our hotel. After comparing some reviews we headed to Urban Tomato. It’s in a neighborhood setting across from a church. The restaurant decor is simple but comfortable with a great hosts. We never felt cramped. The boys enjoyed a chicken pizza half garlic and half bbq drizzle and my wife and I enjoyed a fungi white pizza that was out of this world. I continue to say this, if g-d had given Jersey the water, their pizza would be king.”

“I like the atmosphere of the restaurant and that it is self serve so I can eat at my own pace. I come here often because the food is good too but sometimes the 제육 돌솥 has stale, hard beef that was hard to chew but most of the times it is great. Reasonable price and I like the cold noodles.”
“I’ve been coming to Donghae for about 4 years. They’re always consistent in providing great service and fresh food. The owners along with the workers are ver my friendly. As you come often, they start to recognize you and thank you for your loyalty. I’ve recommended this place to a few friends and they’ve all been satisfied. Best fresh sashimi set you can get in nj for sure.”
“I heard about this place from an ad on Instagram, and I knew the minute I was headed to New Jersey, I had to be sure to make a stop by here! The cafe is in a perfect location, surrounded by various restaurant and cafe offerings. The shop is bright and inviting, as when you enter your eyes immediately go to the claw machines and array of photo booth strips adorning the walls. This combined with the various drink and dessert options makes for a pleasing experience for the customer. I spent some time taking some Photo Booth pics, and ordered a Nutella waffle to-go (the employee graciously let me add the frozen yogurt on top for no extra fee). The waffle was one of the better waffles I have had, it had a buttery, and crunchy exterior that melted in the mouth. The frozen yogurt (I ordered the plain) was also delicious as well. The next time I visit I would like to add the fruit topping, as I imagine it will pair quite deliciously.
The Feelim provides a cute atmosphere perfect for catching up with friends / loved ones. The employee is especially kind and patient as well. I definitely will visit again on my next trip up to the tristate!”
“The “House Malatang” was sooo delicious. And reasonably priced! (How it works is you choose the vegetables and meats that you want, bring them to the counter, choose your soup, and they cook it all up and bring it to you) Definitely going again ?”

“Probably one of the most underrated “hole in the wall” spots I’ve been to. Korean couple that owns it is extremely nice and cares about the quality and effort they put into their food. Ordered 4 special rolls and portions were much bigger than you’d expect. Salmon, eel, and tuna were very fresh”
“I recently went to a Korean BBQ place in New Jersey for the first time with my boyfriend, and it was a really fun experience! We went there for dinner, and overall, it was a nice spot to try something different. The price was on the expensive side, but I guess they do things a bit differently here, so it felt special.
The meat tasted super fresh and was cooked perfectly. What’s cool about this place is that they cook the meat for you at the table, so you don’t have to do it yourself. It’s a great way to enjoy the food without worrying about overcooking it! The unlimited side dishes were definitely a win. There were so many to choose from, and they kept refilling them, which was a nice bonus. The side dishes added a lot of variety to the meal, and everything was fresh and flavorful.
The service was really nice, too. The staff was friendly and respectful, and we even had a little chat with them, which made the experience feel more personal. They were attentive and made sure everything was going smoothly.
While the food was delicious, I did feel a bit hungry after the meal since the portions weren’t super big. For the price, I expected to leave feeling full, but that wasn’t quite the case. Because it’s a bit expensive, I think this place is better for special occasions or important events rather than a casual dinner.
Overall, it was a good experience, and I’d consider coming back for a special event. The fresh meat, unlimited sides, and great service made it a memorable first visit!”
“Was here 3 weeks ago with 4 girlfriends. The food we ordered were delicious and loved that the skewers rotated itself once they were placed.
If you are plan on eating a lot of skewers (particularly lamb) I suggest coming in pairs or small group of 3. While the menu states there's a minimum piece order, it doesn't tell you, you are also capped at a certain amount of pieces when you order certain cuts (i believe it was lamb and beef?)
There was one dish in particular I loved and still think about - I don't remember the name but it was deep fried red chili and pork. It was so goooood! The owner was kind and explained when we asked why buy it would've just been nice to know at the very beginning or see it on the menu for full transparency because it caught us all off guard.
All in all, I would definitely go back and cap it to 3 people max so we can have the full skewer experience.”

“Returning to Izakaya Kumade after a long time away was like rediscovering a hidden gem, and the experience was nothing short of amazing. The food brought back memories but also surprised with new levels of flavor and quality.
I started with the Nagasaki, which was perfectly balanced—rich and comforting, with a depth of umami that only authentic Japanese flavors can deliver. Next, the salted pollock roe cream udon was a delightful highlight. The creamy sauce, infused with the subtle, savory essence of pollock roe, coated each udon noodle beautifully. It was a unique dish that really set Kumade apart, embodying the best of traditional flavors with a modern twist.
To complement the meal, I enjoyed a classic Suntory Highball, which was refreshingly crisp and balanced, enhancing the flavors of the dishes without overpowering them. But what truly stood out was the Suntory Premium Draft beer. This was, without exaggeration, one of the creamiest drafts I've ever had—the texture was silky smooth, with a subtle malt sweetness and a perfectly frothy head.
Izakaya Kumade has managed to retain its authenticity while continuing to surprise and impress. For anyone craving Japanese izakaya-style dishes, paired with impeccable drinks, this place remains a top-tier choice in NJ. Highly recommended!”

“I tried their Taro vanilla milk tea, it was so tasty, I also tried the dalgona milk tea, which was 4.5/5 , it tasted moe like biscoff than anything else. The tapioca pearls were the best though. I also tried the white bean pastry, i give that a 1/5, however my partner loved it. I tried 4 macarons: the white chocolate tasted like straight up butter, the honey lavander tasted like essential oil, the coconut macaron tasted good but slightly old, my favorite was the creme brulee macaron. Overall, I'd try the other macarons I was curious about and a different drink. The owner is very nice guy.”

“We came here for the fried chicken, one of the best in the area. This time we tried the whole chicken instead of the wings, half in cheese snow and half in hot spicy. Personally I prefer hotter wings. We also tried the gimmalie, and it is like deep fried japchae rolled in seaweed, fantastic!”
“I went here with my Wife for her Birthday 🎂 This place was great it is not to bad price wise they do cook everything in front of you for 2 with plenty of food out price was around 120$. If you like Korean BBQ style with pork belly this was a great place I will go again maybe for our anniversary next time 🤤🤤🤤”
“Family owned small business that offers the best soulongtang (beef bone soups) and sundaeguk (blood sausage soups) in the neighborhood. Their prices have gone up since I first started going here years ago but the soup is still great and a decent value. The shop is no-frills with a few table tops and stools. Everything use to be $10 and then during the pandemic, prices varied and I didn't like that they didn't have their prices posted but now they do which is much more transparent. Their menu is still in Korean so you might need the help of Google Translate if you can't read Hangul.”
“Fantastic food and service. This is exactly like the food I enjoyed at similar Chinese lamb skewer restaurants in Korea. I went in expecting to have to use Korean because a few reviews said no one speaks English, but instead I encountered non Korean servers and had to use English. They also spoke Spanish. There are menus available in Chinese, Korean, and English. You can get served here regardless of language. I highly recommend if you want something different from typical Korean barbecue. It’s also BYOB.”
“Great service and absolutely excellent food! We drove from NYC for the cheese Dak Galbi because the one in Ktown changed to MalaTang. It’s tasty and we found the lamb is also delicious! Recommend!”

“Press sandwich chain from South Korea. I have been a customer since they open many years ago. They have both sweet and savory options, their bulgogi beef and spicy chicken are my favorite. The staff has changed over the years but they have always been very friendly and service is always pretty fast. A lot of also people come here for their sweetened ice coffee, which I find to be a treat. They also offer bakery items as well as premade cold-cut sandwiches and gimbab (Korean rice roll). I recently notice them having Portuguese-style egg tarts too. It's located in the hart of downtown Palisades Park. Street parking only and sometimes it's hard to come by.”
“I ordered spicy pork stir-fry (제육볶음) and grilled mackerel (고등어구이), and they were absolutely delicious. The portions were so generous that I packed all the leftovers to take home. Even my child enjoyed the grilled mackerel, saying it tasted amazing. I'll definitely be back again next time.
Parking: I usually park in the restaurant's own parking lot during regular hours, and in the evening, I use the Mustard Seed Preschool parking lot next door. Thanks to this, I've never had any issues with parking.
Kid-friendliness: The owner was also very kind and had a great affection for children.”
“Appreciation post😃 Since 4 days my freshly turned teenage daughter has been saying one thing when I ask her what you want to do on New Year’s Eve …” I want to have kudos bubble tea as the last thing I drink in 2022”. It’s been a tough few months for her and i wanted to make sure she gets her wish. So yesterday morning I called kudos. Asked when they will close for the day. They said 10pm. We scheduled all our plans in such a way that at 9pm we go and get the much anticipated bubble tea. At 9 my husband, son and daughter headed out to kudos… only to find that they have closed at 7 for a private event. This is my back story. On the other side of the story… which probably has its own back story… Cherie the owner had shut the bakery as her daughter wanted to celebrate with her friends and family. As a mother myself I can totally understand that. When she saw my family she informed them that they are closed. But when she heard we had called in morning and saw my daughters dejected face… she opened her doors. Made a quick bubble tea and even gave some extra cookies as a New Years treat. My kids came back so happy saying “mommy it was a holiday miracle!” Thank you Kudo Society Cafe. For providing us one last 2022 miracle. Thank you Cherie for understanding. We have been Kudos patrons since it was at palisades park but now we are die hard advocating neighbors of yours. Ps: pic of the cookie treat. My son ate the red velvet on way home.”
“It’s a Korean style sashimi restaurant. At the beginning, a variety of dishes, rolls, and fried foods are served. The main dishes are fresh and in appropriate portions, but the initial dishes feel a bit underwhelming.
I think reducing the variety and focusing on improving the quality would be a good idea. However, I also believe that Koreans enjoy having a wide range of dishes, so it might be a cultural preference.”
“Celebrated my brother- in- law's job acceptance tonight. He wanted- to eat here because a few times we have had it through calling and picking up the order.
I had Vegetable curry with rice. Curry was flavorful. The vegetables were mixed in it too.
Restaurant was relaxing, decor was clean and simple. Our waitress was friendly and came over frequently to add water. All payments are accepted.”
“Stopped in on a Saturday right when it opened. This place originally caught my eye because of the trays of sashimi but I didn't order that this time. I just had the 10 pieces of assorted sushi ($20). It had salmon, tuna, fluke, eel, and egg. I could have done without the egg but at least it was only one piece. It's still a pretty deal. The fish tastes fresh and they make the pieces fresh for you, so if you're in a rush, be sure to call ahead.
Will definitely need to come back for the sashimi trays next time I have a party.”

“it was my first time at this bar and I had an amazing time! I went with two friends and this place is on the smaller side, which I love. all the drinks I got were great and at reasonable prices; also the bartender on duty was very nice and personable. I cannot recommend this place enough and I cant wait to go again :))”
“I catered the food, and they did it really neatly, so we had a great party ♡The food was delicious, haha. Even if I tried to add more, they told me to stop because it was enough...there was a reason hahaha. The portion was really generous~~ I'll order it again next time +_+”
“Best food I’ve ever had I think they have the best food in the area and I’ve tried most pizzerias in pal park and fort Lee area there pizza is excellent there pasta and chicken parm is one of the best I’ve ever had there sauce tastes amazing and you can tell it’s homemade keep up the good work guys It’s my go to place now I order 3 times a week for my office”

“The owner and staff are very friendly.
They also recommend drinks and have a variety of drink and dessert menus. The interior of the cafe is spacious, neat and clean.
It seems like a cafe filled with a lot of love from the owner. It has a photo spot and it's cute. I recommend Einspenner here!
And the madeleines are so delicious :)
Here's a drink coupon! You put cute stickers on it.”
“If this place was near me I would eat it once a week. In general I don’t believe in going back to restaurants when traveling for work because there are so many good ones out there. Tang Maru is one I will return to! The spicy squid was amazing. Unexpectedly, it had udon-type noodles, which were a nice touch. Also had the rice cake soup, which was very good. The food was a tad more delicately-flavored than some other Korean restaurants I’ve been to, but in a good way. Service was perfect. They even gave me complimentary tea.”
“사장부터 직원 매우 불친절..자리를 기다리는 사람들에 대한 관리가 전혀 없고 중간 중간 여사장이나 직원이 아는 손님이 오면 중간중간에 슬쩍 끼워 놓음.한시간 이상을 기다리는 손님에 대한 기본 예의 조차 없음..”

Parking: Parking in the back”
“I'm a regular here. Jjajangmyeon is delicious. It doesn't taste like sugar and tastes like Miwon. It feels healthy, right? Anyway, it's delicious. It was like that for a while after the store moved, but it seems like it's back to its old taste. In particular, the Jjamppong sweet and sour pork is generous and the best in New Jersey!”
“Their menu is diverse and well prepared. Super clean and chill bar in palisades park. Lounge area and smoke room which allows for variety of vibes!! Thank you will be going often”

“Visit the bakery yesterday, and it was worth every dollar I spend. The Pecan cream ring tasted just how I remembered when I was a kid. I also bought one double chocolate cookie, which was amazing!! I wish I bough more. The staff was super nice and helpful. I grew up in pal park, and the bakery was always the go to spot for our desserts. Keep it going and no slacking on the deliciousness. Going back today for more cookies😁”

“Plenty of parking, good food, good vibes.”
