“Where do I begin. Our visit to the Shannon Rose was outstanding. From the nice young lady at the door to our server Edgar who went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. When we arrived Trivia was going on, and it was such a delight watching everyone participating in the game. We arrived wanting drinks to end the night, and The Shannon Rose did night disappoint. Our server Edgar was very kind, and very knowledgeable about what we should order, plus very handsome. Kudos to the bartender the drinks were delish!!!! I think it was waiting for my friend's salmon to be cooked as her food was hotter. The mash potatoes was hot though. The espresso martini was good definitely deserves a return. “We have been coming to Davey's for years. It is a great local spot to go for a few drinks and have some bar food. It is a causal Irish pub. All the bartenders are friendly. Their food has gone downhill in my opinion, because their menu has changed. For example, they no longer have the godfather sandwich on the menu. Their chicken fingers have recently changed, and are not as good as they used to be. However, I love the honey mustard and horseradish dipping sauce they come with. They do have some of the best bloody marys in the area.“
“The place is very unassuming from the outside but when we walked in it was full of people on a random Monday in the middle of a day in the middle of August. We decided to get the chicken cutlet sliders and the grilled chicken sandwich with french fries. The pickled onions - yummy! They were both absolutely delicious. Their beer selection is pretty good - I mostly like beers on tap but if you like other beers by can- they have a lot of them to choose. The waitress who waited on us was on top of everything and so pleasant. She was very accommodating. Prices were affordable. While we were only passing through, we would definitely go there again if we're in the neighborhood.“

They have brick walls in the inside which don't absorb sound. It gets loud when crowded, which makes conversation a challenge. Something to consider if that's important you. “Just ordered a steak sandwich and French dip. Never got the au jus sauce so my gf drove back to get it and the owner comped the whole bill wow that was just unbelievably nice over a simple sauce. “We have probably driven by the place 100 times and finally decided to give it a try. We were very impressed. First it was very crowded but we found a table at the bar. Large bar business and an extensive selection of tap beers. All reasonably priced. For dinner we ordered the Irish potato skins as an appetizer. These were very good. They were firm and well covered with toppings. Then we both ordered burgers. My wife had the patty melt and I had the Irish Cheddar burger. We both ordered them medium rare and they came out medium rare. Both burgers were very good and the Irish Cheddar burger came with a bun that was a perfect size for the burger. We enjoyed our meal, and were not rushed. We will definitely go back.“

“We joined some family* here for lunch today. The bldg and the grounds were lovely looking. The inside has both banquet rooms for private events as well as a family feel bar and dining area. We were seated right away and the server was very prompt and friendly. Menu although not that large had a good variety. From appetizers and soups to full on entrees there was plenty to choose from. They had several specials to offer today. They are known for the burgers apparently. My aunt and husband both had the Swiss Mountain Burger. Both enjoyed them. Although the cooking between them was a bit different. My husband's was a bit pink IMO but he likes rare so didn't really care. My daughter enjoyed the penne and meatballs from the dedicated kids menu. It came with a drink and dessert. The portion was hearty and she loved the meatball! Dinner rolls on the table were amazing. Mini chibatta style that were crusty in the outside and soft and chewy in the inside. My uncle had the chicken cashew salad. Large salad although looked like only iceberg as the base. Overall filled with plenty of toppings. I enjoyed one of the salmon specials for today. I chose the grilled lemon pepper salmon. All entrees like this are served with either rice or potato and veggies. I had mashed which were very creamy and flavorful. The salmon had good flavor but IMO was cooked just a little too long. It was flaky but the edges seemed a little dry. Overall I'd recommend it but suggest asking for a medium cook. They offered a dessert menu although everyone was full and decided on just some specialty coffee. Most dishes were in the $15-25 range. Overall I'd recommend giving it a try. *Sorry for the lack of pics we were so excited to see our out of town family that I totally forgot!“

Quality of food is very good. It's a little small, which never caused me any problems, but something to keep in mind on busier days. Someone here complained in a review that it's expensive for the amount of food that you get but you're paying for quality not quantity. Plus it's still cheaper than the overpriced restaurants in Rutherford, which seem to prefer status over service.“
