“Quaint little spot with parking in the back. Friendly pleasant staff & good food. Went on a Friday afternoon and had the place to ourselves. The amazing seasonings in the rice was our fave, the hummus and pita, and falafel was also great. The mint lemonade hit the spot and the lentil soup was yummy. Only disappointment was with how oily the fries were. We barely touched it. Aside from this, we enjoyed our time here and would return.“
“Shlomo's kindness and generosity is endless! Not only has he offered to participate in a PTO sponsored dine to donate today, but when our school staff ordered lunch to support, he refused payment and insisted the payment be donated to the PTO in full! He gets plenty of love and all is deserved! Thank you Shlomo and Gyro Grill for not only delicious food but for your continued acts of love in the Wayne community!“
“My family and I stopped by for dinner this evening and were left feeling very impressed. All the ingredients were very fresh and thr food was very tasty. Mohammed was also very friendly and respectful towards everyone. I would recommend this restaurant to all those who love Middle Eastern food - there are plenty of options for vegans/vegetarians too.“
“I tried EFI’s today from just passing by without looking at any reviews/ knowledge about the place i was PLEASANTLY surprised on the food! I got 2 lamb gyros and spanakopita to go. The lamb meat was GOOD but I got some nasty hard pieces. But, after getting rid of the pieces the gyros were great STUFFED with fries and I Loved it! I would 100% go back but i would personally try the chicken instead. The spanakopita was great and enough to share between two!“
“So thankful a buddy took me here when visiting him in Parsippany. Bosporus' Shepard Salad was truly delicious! And the portions! Was two meals for me and the kunefe was flaky, honey, cheesy greatness as a dessert. Prices were very reasonable and the service was was great also. 10/10 would recommend.“
“Le Souk felt like I was enjoying a meal in someone's home in Syria. Soft, Middle Eastern guitar melodies played in the background as I enjoyed my food. The restaurant was decorated with a myriad of artistic knickknacks. My server was polite, and they came to check in throughout my time there.I took advantage of the 4 appetizers for $30 deal as I was not super hungry. I ordered their beet salad, falafel waffle, stuffed grape leaves, and stuffed kebeh. I intended on ordering the dandelion greens, but they were not available, which was disappointing. The food I did receive, though, was a nice window into their menu. The stuffed kebeh was my favorite, a nice crispy shell with a nutty flavor, juicy ground beef inside, with just a little pomegranate syrup to add a bit of tangy sweetness.I'd love to come back and try some of their sandwiches or an entree in the future. Thanks for the food!“
“Really good! I had the chicken shawarma platter and the chicken was perfectly flavored but it was a bit overcooked and dry. It was right before closing so I won't hold it against them. The rice was really flavorful and fluffy. The salad was delicious. would return again!“
“Marakesh was an amazing experience. From the delicious kabobs and rice, to the tender lamb. Dinner was finished with Moroccan tea and desserts. The service was impeccable and the belly dancer show just added to the charisma of the restaurant. I could not recommend this place more. Mashallah what a great place!“
“Can’t really answer the Atmosphere question as I always get it to go but seems that folks like it because I always see tables occupied. As far as the food and the staff always great service and quality of food is top notch. The only thing is I wish they were open later on weekends.Give it a try you won’t be disappointedVegetarian options: The vegan selection always very tasty“
“FINALY after Covid we took some friends to our favored middle eastern restaurant this past Saturday . As usual we were greeted by our first names as we had not been there for three years! we had the combo maza which was great. The muhammara was just right. Our friends had the lamb shish kebab and the shawarma combo. Both plates were huge with two skewers of meet in each! According to them it was the best they ever had. For a change I had the kibbeh in a tray meal with yogurt which brought back memories of childhood when my mother made it. I can't say enough about the quality of the food. The service is the friendliest you will ever experience“
“We discovered this place a few months ago after the other Mediterranean place in town closed. This food is way better. We get take out every week. Everything I've had has been good... shawarma, kebab, even the burrito is good. Fries are solid, hot sauce is great. They seem a bit understaffed at times but worth the wait.“
“Amazing, does not do their shawarma justice. Very authentic , from the flavors to how packed and generous the portions are. Only complaint is you don’t have the pick of toppings such as pickled veggies for Ex.This is a welcoming establishment offering great eats for all cultures. There are no politics inside which I love , but they show the faces of innocent children, women and men who have suffered from savage acts.. this is a duty they don’t have to do but they choose to do it knowing the harassment they can face. It’s important for everyone of us Americans to understand what is happening and not let their pain and abuse go silentCan’t this recommend this place enough 10/10“
“Chicken was tender and rich with flavor. Chicken shawarma tastes as grilled chopped chicken not as regular shawarma on the stick with some crunchy part. I like the bread with onion and salsa. The garlic sauce very tasty. The staff was friendly.“
“We had the grilled chicken sandwich and the vegetarian platter. The grilled chicken sandwich was so delicious, loads of fresh mozzarella on top of a nice and soft marinated chicken breast piece. They can customize the sauce if you want. I chose their green sauce instead of the honey mustard or mayo.Galilea is their main vegetarian platter that contains hummus, tabouleh, grape leaves and falafel. They also have a separate vegetarian menu.Quaint little family owned restaurant with wonderful people!Vegetarian options: Galilea is their main vegetarian platter that contains hummus, tabouleh, grape leaves and falafel. “Great small, quant place in town for Mediterranean food. We came for an earlier dinner at 5:30 on a Saturday and we were the only table. There were a number of people coming in to pick up takeout and delivery orders though. We started with the lentil soup and then I had the Chicken Kabob entree and my wife had the Mahi Mahi entry. We both really enjoyed our meals. The portion size was perfect and everything had great flavor. The staff was really friendly. We will definitely be back.“
“Amazing Israeli casual restaurant. 1) I got the Sabich, Chutzpah Fries, Hummus & Tahina topped w/ Falafel. 2) The Sabich is a Middle Eastern Jewish sandwich with origins with Iraqi Jews. It is very popular these days in Israel and its capital Jerusalem. 3) The ambiance inside is amazing. 4) They offer free lemon infused water. 5) I really liked the Israeli grape juice.“
“Jerusalem catered my son's Bris in Highland Park. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. David was a pleasure to work with and had great suggestions, and the worker who came to set up did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend them and would use them again in a heartbeat!“
“We love the French Toast at Uncle Momo's and so as not to be gluttens, we order it as an appetizer for the table. It's incredibly yummy and creamy on the inside. It's the best I've ever had. As for their other brunch dishes, they're all extraordinary and I love that the menu is different from the other brunch menus in town. Sure, you can just get a plain omelet or scrambled eggs, but they have so much else. I do not know why there are lines outside of Toast on a Sunday but not Momo's. So much better in my opinion.“
“Nice place for quick lunch or for a dinner with a views. We sat by the bay windows for lunch and got great views of the busy street. Food was freshly made and perfectly balanced healthy tasty food. Sweet potatoes fries were hot and crispy. Falafel was really nicely fired and crispy too.“
“Food 5 stars. Outstanding. We had mint tea, hummus (delicious pita bread), samsa, bokhara plov, and a very flavorful shrimp dish. Service pleasant. My melt off the bone lamb took a while to cook as expected so we were here a while, but food was well worth the wait. Ambiance. Well, not so much, but we were here for the cuisine and were not disappointed.“
“Dinner with the family last night. BYOB but with a liquor store on the same block. Everything was great, food was delicious, hummus, kebabs, gyros, shrimp, veggies were all on point. The lamb was a little chewy and the rice a smidge on the salty side. Service was good, affordable prices with good portions. The bill came to $150 for 7 of us, not bad at all. If in the area, I'd definitely go back.Vegetarian options: Falafel, many of the appetizers, salads, etc.Parking: Side streets if not up front“
“My brother and I came here and both got the beef shawarma. It's hard to find good middle eastern food in NJ but their shawarma was the best i've had since leaving Lebanon. The owners were so kind and the whole place really had such a nice ambiance. Definitely give this a place a try.“
