This place is the definition and example of what is "OLD SCHOOL" pizza. Sauce though a bit too much oregano is spot on for flavor. Cheese is real and not the cheap greasy cheese chain pizza uses. The dough is not thin crust and not fluffy pizza it also is spot on. If you're fortunate enough to live within 20 minutes from Sarge's you hit pizza lotto jackpot. Service is above average even from the owner (don't fall for the bullshit negative post) and entire staff are just pleasant people. The ambiance matches the pizza "SPOT ON" for old school, so much so that I eat and remember my youthful pizza experiences with friends. Flavor just awakens good memories. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR! “This place is perfect for late night, me and my cousins order from here all the time because of how late it stays open and we are night owls !! Great pizza, the wings are my favorite! Definitely recommend for the perfect late night snack :)“
“Listen. If you want a quick late night munch, their pizza will leave you satisfied. At 1 AM, we got half pepperoni half bbq chicken pizza and both sides were delicious. The meat was good and i love cheesy pizzas too so the cheese to sauce ratio didn't disappoint. The service was very sweet. The place was clean and spacious, perfect for long convos with family and friends. Overall, don't expect anything elaborate. A simple pie will hit the spot just as well.“
“Great Italian food and a decent menu, not much choice but not too much. It's located next to Post Office 34 and is very trendy. The view and service are great, but it's noisy as there isn't much to absorb the sound. We ordered focaccia, roasted peppers and pasta. Everything is great and super fresh.“

It really needs to be at an appropriate dinner volume in that you can have a discussion with that people at your table and not shout. We asked twice for it to be lowered. But I’m unsure it was ever adjusted. Loud club-music volume while dining is just unnecessary.“
“been told by many their vegan slice is one of the best in the city. it was good, not the best I’ve had but certainly far from the worst. like a slice I’d enjoy if I am in the neighborhood, but not one I’d seek out if I’m closer to another spot yknow? kind of plain and a little flavorless but the crust was delicious lol. nice atmosphere inside“
“This is the best pizza I have ever had, nice crisp, light crust with just the right amount of toppings, no grease at all. I live in CT and thought no pizza was better than our New Haven ones, boy was I wrong!!! Looking forward to returning……soon!“
“It is very good but not worth going out of your way to obtain. Worth trying once if possible. We drove from Jersey, paid the toll, and waited 40 minutes for a margherita pie. We ate two slices freshly served, and they had a nice crispy bottom and balance of sauce. It was lacking a bit of salt for me. We ate another microwaved slice at home, and it tasted no different than any other Jersey pizza. Please note it takes at least 40 minutes to prepare from the time of placing a takeout order.“
“This man is the sweetest. He makes the best antipasto salad I've ever had in my life. He uses spinach, spring mix and arugula instead of Romain or iceberg lettuce. The flavors were absolutely fantastic. It was so fresh and the mozzarella was fresh. I will be getting this for lunch today. I am truly a satisfied customer.“
