“We go there at least every month. Sometimes more often. This is the only bar I will go to. The owner who is a wonderful man knows how to run his business. He's so friendly to everyone and is always making sure everyone is taken care of. Also his staff is another amazing person. She is on top of everything at all times. The people who come there are usually the same faces and that's what makes this family feel like home. If there is one bar I would recommend it's definitely Colonial.“

Me and my boyfriend came straight after work and were assured by this beautiful women named Yury she was very attentive and constantly came to the table to attend us even though she had many other tables she had to attend to. “This is a great place for an afterwork beer in FiDi and it's super close to the 9/11 Memorial. What I love about this place is all the patches from first responders and military personnel. As a US Navy veteran who served with Marine Corps helicopter squadrons, I love seeing the patches from units I served with.“

“I went here for the first time on Saturday at 1pm and it was, unexpectedly, one of the best bars I've been to so far in NYC! Rudy is the main contributing factor to my review; he was amazing! We ordered the Totchos (tater tot nachos) which were delicious and had drinks flowing. Nikki, another bartender, arrived before we left and she was also so wonderful. The vibes were amazing - a lot of 20 somethings there to watch sports games. We ended up staying way longer than intended and I'm planning to come back here frequently!“

They have TV’s at every angle, and plenty of spacing for standing or seating. The have many options for drinks, and the food options are very strong as well. “Great spot for your 20s if you live on the UES. Came here quite a bit when I was younger. They have beer pong and I’d say its a classed up sports bar. My friend met her husband here years ago. The food here is decent American bar food but nothing crazy. When it does get busy and really packed here the service can suffer and it can be difficult to get a drink.“

“Welcome to to Germany!!! well sort of...Great place great atmosphere! German Bierhall right off 3rd Ave in heart of Midtown East. The place is beautifully decorated with staff donning the silly outfits. Authentic Hofbrau beer on draft is super deliious. The food is also under the radar delicious. Both chicken samdwiches, the burger and curry wurst are my faves. Great place to watch a game. So many TV's with spacious large tables. Lastly they have an amazing balcony overlooking 3rd ave.“

“O'Hanlon's is pub meets basement rec room meets one of the oddest cuts of locals you'll find in Manhattan. Probably best known for its soccer showing which draws in weekend crowds, you might be surprised to learn it also opens at 9am, apparently to cater to night shift workers like those at the firehouse across the street. Because of that, I can never quite tell if O'Hanlon's is weathering bumpy times (it isn't always the cleanest and sometimes is low on stock) or if that's simply the reality of being open nearly 24-hours a day. Either way, that weirdness and its rougher edges do lend it an odd kind of charm that's hard to replicate, which is made all the more charming by great staff who are often more than happy to chat when it's not crazy busy.Edit: In response to the reply from the owners, for me it'd be 5 stars probably if there was a bit more stock of bottles on the back bar. For bourbon for example, these days I don't see much besides Maker's but I remember there used to be a bit more variety? But if the strategy is to keep a simpler inventory, that's totally fair!
