Eggplant- good flavors and well done, needed a bit more rice though because it was again, quite spicy. Shiitake fried rice- no overall complaints, I liked it, but wish it had a bit less oil.“

“This place is awesome! The sushi is excellent (and they have some nice veggie and non-fish options as well) and great quality. The apps such as edamame and gyoza were also delicious. We've dined in and the place is very homey and comfortable. We ordered delivery and when an item was forgotten, they brought it along with an item on the house! “We are huge fans of Peter Kelly's, but the little things need to be improved. We've gone to Kelly's places since the 90's, and are big believers, and X2O's lunch used to be the best buy in town. Like everything else the price has climbed, and it is no longer a great bargain, but it is still worth every penny at $36. The lunch menu has expanded, and even though we miss the risottos, the selection is ample, and the specials are terrific. What caused the rating to drop from five to four stars are two simple but vital things - the bread, which used to be a highlight, was very mediocre, and the coffee was weak, unusual for X2O. The food was spectacular, but the little things need to return to their usual high level.“

The seared prime beef and the A5 Wagyu were also to die for! Every bite melts in your mouth! The spicy tuna crispy rice was ok. The rice was not crispy enough. There was 4 pieces for $12. The salmon carpaccio was really good! Love the citrus sauce that came with this dish. There was 5 slices of salmon for $16. So it was a bit overpriced. Veggie udon was really good and flavorful! We got two half box orders of boneless thighs (original crispy and soy garlic/sweet & spicy), fries, and water. The chicken took about 15-20 minutes to cook, but it was well worth the wait. My son (the pickiest eater in the world) LOVED the boneless thighs, and even the French fries. I thought everything was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The flavors were all fantastic, with the soy garlic being my favorite. The fries were also some of the best fries I've ever had. Super crispy on the outside but fluffy on the inside. The food also came with Cole slaw which was DELICIOUS, and I say this as someone who normally strays away from Cole slaw.Customer service was excellent. The woman at the front was very friendly and clear with describing the food. Their presentation was top notch also. The food was packaged beautifully and even the bag it came in was just really well designed. It was like opening a holiday gift of delicious food. I would highly recommend paying this place a visit, although you'll probably have to do take out since they have limited seating. That's probably the only downside I can think of, but they still deserve 5 stars overall“

“Let me start with the constructive feedback- and if you are still reading based on the scoring- you clearly want to try this place. -Wish there was a more accessible entry- not stroller friendly. -Wish some of their dishes came with sauce to dip in since a lot of it is finger friendly. -Wish their menu didnt label all the seafood items as vegetarian. Now the good, because a little bit of lifting and asking can help with the above! Service was amazing. Our server was super informative and guided us on our culinary excursion. Szechuan Ravioli- spicy vinaigrette so may be a little on the sour side for some, nice crisp on the outside Fried Rice- serviceable, not much to it Impossible Duck Bun - vegetarian, nice flavor profile and a good bite Vegetable Bowl - lots of veggies and a choice of noodles or rice. Get the noodles. Shanghai Wontons- we ordered this last but we should have done this first... and in multiples. My fav dish because I am a sucker for spicy peanut sauce. Spicy Vegetable Bun- also a great bun, cant go wrong with any of them really. Nice sauté on the vegetables and great flavor. If you made it this far....go! Get those shanghai wontons to start and see where your journey takes you!“

“We are local but never stopped in before. My wife and I, one daughter and her fiance came in during the week between Christmas and New Years. No one was sitting down but it was a little early and there was a lot of take out order activity the entire time we were there.Three of us ordered a total of 8 different rolls and some rice/noodles for my wife . I has the Crunchy Tempura Shrimp roll and the Cream Cheese roll with crab and I would order both again. Everyone enjoyed their selections and other then the noodles and rice, our plates were clean. My wife took what remained for her noodles and rice home as leftovers. We also ordered the Thai Donut to share for desert, based on other reviewers suggestions, and it was really good.Towards the end of our meal, another 2 groups came in and sat down so we weren't the only ones sitting down to eat. We will come back for sure to get items we liked and try out some others.“

“Bobby Wongs is a welcome addition to the Hawthorne food scene. With a great niche- this soulfully Asian spot is a go to for real and quality stuff! Having them downtown is dangerous only bc I live so close! The chicken original with wok’d rice is a perfect balance of heat and savory. The beef buns ( really all the buns) are a can’t miss- any specials they have are definitely worth a try!“

“The food comes out fairly quickly, especially if you go earlier in the day. But it's so delicious. The string beans and the general tsos unchicken will be go to's for me from now on. It's just all so well seasoned and the flavors are all delicious. The honeydew drinks were also really good, but if you're looking for a sweeter Thai Tea, maybe don't go for this one. A reservation is highly recommended, especially if you want seating at the grill but on off days you shouldn't have a problem with a walk in. Well depending on the group size. The menu is plentiful but simple, so many options to choose from and even good vegetarian options. The servers were very attentive, polite and friendly. The chef was extremely entertaining. You can tell he loves his job to the fullest. First he confirmed everyone's orders so he could prepare them properly and confirm and food allergies. Because I'm allergic to shrimp he cooked my steak first and served it so he could cook everything else without contaminating my food so that was very appreciative. He cooked with style, flair and a huge smile. The guests were very happy with the presentation and cooking. The price may seem high at first glance but you get what you pay for. I ordered the new York steak and it was served with grilled vegetables first then egg fried rice then noodles and then the protein cooked exactly how I wanted it. I brought my family who are not fans of sushi here and they absolutely devoured every piece of sushi that was ordered. ?? pockets hurt! I personally enjoy their sushi it is indeed of great quality without hesitation. As soon as you walk in you are quickly welcomed and seated. The environment is very cozy compared to other sushi places. There is a lovely lady who serves my family and I every time she is fabulous!! The food here overall is great - we had a little bit of everything - fried rice, dumplings, udon, etc. The iced matcha latte was pretty good. There is limited seating and the place was pretty busy. “Vietnamese food is one of my favorite cuisines so I've had a lot of Viet food in my life. I've also been to Vietnam three times. So believe me when I say Saigon Bistro has really good Viet food! The grilled pork was delicious and juicy. Spring rolls were crispy and perfectly cooked. Summer rolls were also good. We also got the sweet corn pudding which we liked too. Oh service is great as well. We'll be back many times.“
