We did a 24 hr round trip drive to NY to take our son to the cancer center. Due to the procedure he had and drive we had not eaten since the previous day. Starving, we ordered several things from the menu excited for a good meal. Our bill was $70+ and we trashed most of the food. The kids chicken tenders were over cooked, my burger was cold. The pasta in the Mac wasn't cooked enough for my 19mo old to chew well although the sauce was good. The server was very nice but appeared over stretched. We never received a follow up after our food was delivered and we were missing or received the wrong dips/sandwich sauces. Considering we were so hungry, it wouldn't have been hard to please us but it was extremely disappointing. I eventually had to take my bill up to the bar and ask to be cashed out so we could leave. Considering the cost of the meal, I expected much better and was disappointed we didn't just choose the less expensive diner next door.

Truly like The Barn. Had a drink at the bar then met friends for dinner. All went very well. However, when I returned home and looked at our receipts I noticed that I got charged $2.00 for ice in my bourbon. Did it break me, no. Please justify why you charge your customers $2 for putting a few cubes in a drink. That was a first! Wondering if I am the first to complain about the most absurd charge on a tab? Do yourselves a favor and reconsider gouging your customers.

I attended a birthday party we had homestyle my daughter paid $2300 for this surprise birthday party. We had prime rib that was gray color with the fat falling off it. The rice wasn’t cooked. The chicken had a funny taste. They served one serving per table . Family style should keep being served.I ordered a drink. There is zero alcohol in it couldn’t even taste it. The server said it was a three second pour. This place might be good for burgers and a beer, but not a meal.Disappointed don t book a party here.

Rockaway River barn is always a lot of fun! It was very busy when we first arrived. We knew we would need to wait for a table and waited less than anticipated. We found a seat at the bar (there were a lot of drink and beer options) and they texted us for our table. It was loud which was a bit challenging to talk, but shows how much people love it there. Our waitress was always checking on us for what we needed. The basket of bread was a nice addition while we waited for food. Despite being busy we didn’t find ourselves waiting too much. The spinach artichoke dip we started with was great! Our waitress kept giving us a lot of chips too! The fries were great! The Mac and cheese was a bit dry and plain but still good! We enjoy going to Rockaway River Barn!

Was very excited for new menu just launched...but very disappointed. Chicken Margherita sandwich ordered takeout from Uber eats...chicken was very thin, overcooked and drier and then dry. Tomato slice had tomato core in it. And price for sandwich was $16. Very disappointing for the price.
The pasta with grilled vegetables was terrible carrots no cooked, only 2 pieces of brocolli..sauce very sour..other dishes that night were also under par..thats a shame food usually good here..

Food was incredible but more importantly the service was phenomenal! Our waitress Denise was very attentive and had a great personality. Garrison, the manager kept stopping by to check on us and watched him do the same with other tables as he hustled around helping out wherever he could. Great night out. We will return!

Awesome place that took incredible care of us. If you’re a vegan don’t even look at this place when you drive by as your head might explode from how awesome their steak and ribs are!!!Both owners came over to us and were incredible to us as it was our first time here. They know how to take care of their customers!! We shall be returning here again!
