From the moment we stepped into Ichiban Japanese Cuisine & Catering, we were greeted with a warm ambiance and spotlessly clean surroundings. The sushi bar added an authentic touch to the atmosphere, and the staff were not only polite but genuinely lovely, making our dining experience all the more enjoyable. Our appetizers arrived promptly, setting the tone for a meal that exceeded our expectations. Each dish showcased the chef's expertise and dedication to quality ingredients. What's more, the pricing was incredibly reasonable for the outstanding quality of food we received.Ichiban has undoubtedly earned its place as a go-to spot for sushi lovers in Ledgewood, NJ. With such a delightful experience, it's no wonder we'll be returning soon to indulge in more of their delicious offerings.

Lived in the area for a decade this fall. Still regret that it took me nearly 4 years to discover this place. You'd have to drive at least 45 minutes in any direction to find sushi which compares to the quality enjoyed

The Rock Shrimp appetizer was very tasty. The Snow White Roll was delicious! We both had the Tonkotsu Ramen which was good and plentiful. We will definitely be back soon.

We eat a lot of sushi and have been to dozens of different sushi bars. Ichiban has some of the best rolls we have had in a long time. We shared 5 rolls among 4 people and everyone loved everything. The tempura was excellent, nice and crispy and the fried rice was crazy good. I wish they were closer.
Hard to rate, iv gotten sushi 3 times now and it's consistently good. However I ordered the ramen and it was an utter dissapointment. No flavor at all, im a white woman with no training on japanese cuisine other than i really enjoy it and I make better ramen broth at home, and that's an embarrassing statement.
We've been to Ichiban Sushi twice. Fresh tasty edamame and sushi. I really enjoyed the Gentleman's Roll with salmon, tuna, yellowtail, avocado, cucumber wrapped in the green color soy paper. Delicate flavors and beautiful presentation. We tried the vegetable yaki soba and chicken yaki soba this time as well. Both were delicious but could've used a few more veggies. Service is good. It's a busy place, lots of takeout orders so it's not super fast. The booths are the best place to sit. We were at a table and it was a bit chilly there with the door opening up a number of times. Might do takeout next time.

Excellent service and sushi choice is amazing. We got there because it was close to our place and it was about to snow. Staff there seated us quickly and then sushi and ramen came as we ordered. Clean place with booth and tables. Best part was after we ate, bill was absolutely reasonable. Great option for sushi for us and we are definitely a return customer here!

I got the hibachi shrimp. It came with rice, miso soup, and a salad. It was delicious. I just wish it had better portions or was a little cheaper. You only get a small tin of rice even though rice is cheap. The meal was about $20 each.

Had Ichiban a few weeks ago and I guess I forgot to give a review. Sushi was good quality and the specialty rolls were excellent. My only complaint was the service, it seemed like a very long time to get everything and all of the waitresses minus one didn't seem like they cared, but it might have just been a busy day.
Great place extremely clean
