“10/10 experience. Loved the beef empanadas and the guacamole (guac was actually spicy). Fat and fluffy French toast delicious. Special, chipotle roasted pork, was absolutely flavorful and delicious. Chorizo guac and eggs were decent. Tiki temptation was to die for, would come back just for that. Mimosas were strong. Pom margarita was peak, best I ever had. Although I wasn’t a fan of the watermelon basil margarita, my family liked it.

“We were in town from Wisconsin to see Metallica. The day after the concert , we were looking for something good to eat and found Dumpling Dojo. Looking thru the menu , we knew we had to try. AMAZING!! We had one of the best meals we have had in a long time and my husband and I like to eat. We go to a lot of high ends places, but as I said , this place was extraordinary. The staff very friendly and helpful. We had the fried pork belly , tangerine beef , shrimp dumplings, fried shrimp and ramen noodle. And for desert , out of the world raspberry cheese cake wontons with whipped cream and fruit garnish. Nothing was too spicy but so flavorful. Again , you really need to try this place. Thank You !!”

The banana bread is my favorite but All of the different baked goods are to die for! Never had anything but excellent here. The owners and the baristas and ALL of the staff are friendly and truly provide the BEST service! If I lived in Rutherford I’d be here every day!”

“This cute bake shop is small, but dense, providing various flavors and products that are hard to find vegan. The cake truffles (Red Velvet and Fudge Brownie) were amazing—fudgy and flavorful on the inside with just enough icing. The cupcakes (tiramisu and Old Skool) were moist with rich filling at the center and a sufficient amount of frosting. Sweet Avenue deserves their due. I hope I can return one day to try more! “I stopped in for some pastries and ended up leaving with so much more than just something sweet. The macaroons were absolutely delicious, perfectly crisp on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside. You can really tell they’re made with care.

What truly made my experience, though, was Renee. She was incredibly kind, welcoming, and just radiated such positive energy. She had no idea I was having a really hard day, but her attitude genuinely lifted my spirits more than she probably realizes. It’s rare to come across someone who makes that kind of impact in such a simple interaction.

Between the amazing treats and the even better service, I’ll definitely be coming back.

“Everything’s fine except you can’t walk by or enjoy sitting outside w out guys smoking cigarettes on a daily basis. It’s not a bar where that would be socially acceptable. I hope they work on that bc it’s not a good environment with the smoking.”

“Materas’s really came through when i needed catering in a hurry due to an unexpected family emergency. I dropped in with zero notice and they were able to help me with feeding dozens of people within 30 minutes. The food was awesome as always. Kudos to Matera’s. Truly wonderful people.”

“I come here at least once or twice a week and have consistently had a great experience. I saw some of the recent negative reviews and honestly wanted to add that this hasn’t been my experience at all.

The portions are generous, everything always tastes fresh, and the quality is noticeably better than the bigger national chains. The Backyard BBQ is my go-to, but everything I’ve tried has been solid. My order is always ready when I arrive, the staff is friendly, and management has always been responsive. You can tell they actually care about the food and their customers, which is a big reason I keep coming back.”

“We took a road trip today from Wilkes Barre, PA because we share the same last name and we’re so glad we did! It was a 2hr drive and it did not disappoint. The inside has very cool 70s vibes. We ordered a pizza and when they found out why we visited, they surprised us with a complimentary famous chicken parm. It was such a thoughtful and unexpected gesture that made our visit a little more special. Everything was delicious, and we really felt appreciated as customers. “We hosted our daughter Sienna’s first birthday at The Little Play Cafe, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience! From start to finish, Sabeen was absolutely amazing to work with. Her communication was great, she was incredibly accommodating, and she genuinely went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.

The attention to detail was unmatched. Sabeen put so much thought and care into setting up for Sienna’s first birthday and made sure everything ran smoothly throughout the entire party. You can tell how much pride she takes in the space and in making each celebration feel special and personalized.

The play cafe itself is absolutely pristine and beautiful. Every little detail is so thoughtfully designed, and the cleanliness and attention to detail are truly unmatched. All of the kids had an amazing time playing together, which made me so happy to see on such a special day. And as a bonus, they have great coffee, which the adults definitely appreciated! ☕

Crispy veggie dumplings don’t really deliver well but they were still good.
Only thing I would change is I wish they had more steamed food on their menu, it’s mostly fried. But it was all very good. And I wish they had assorted teas not just soda.”

“Soooo happy my husband and I find this gem of a restaurant! Best Iranian food ever! I don't eat red meat or pork, so I stick to chicken and let me tell you I could eat the chicken kebab and saffron rice every single day of my life I swear!😋 The bread is Persian bread, I can't think of the name, but omg delish! We eat inside atleast twice a week, the restaurant is always clean and spotless, and Ellie is our usual server: she's truly the greatest! Friendly, Efficient and just the sweetest young woman to talk to. All of the young ladies that work there are super sweet. With the world being so crazy and backwards right now, It's really nice to know we have a quiet little spot we can go to enjoy a great meal in such authentic atmosphere!”

“I had a craving for a spinach roll.I stumbled on this place. They had spinach rolls and meatball rolls. I ordered both. On delivery still piping hot. Freshly made cooked perfect. Just amount filling in both. Sauce for dipping was tasty as well. Definitely recommend.”

“This place is popping! There was a wedding and multiple birthday parties going on while we were there. It got a bit loud at times, but overall it created a nice, vibrant atmosphere. The service was good, not bad, but nothing particularly memorable. We ordered the stuffed pork chop and braised short ribs. The stuffed pork chop had a lot of flavor, although it was a touch dry. The sides were pretty good. The braised short rib, on the other hand, was seasoned very well and cooked nicely.

We also ordered two cocktails, the strawberry lychee martini and the mango sangria. The mango sangria was probably the sweetest drink I've had in a long time, and neither of us could finish it. The martini fared better, but overall we weren't too impressed with the drinks. All in all, it was a good night out. We would definitely return, but next time we might skip the mixed drinks.”
