This is my favorite coffee shop and bakery in Rutherford! Every dessert I get from there is delicious and unique. My favorite is the citrus olive oil cakes. The coffee flavors are also delicious. Great if you want coffee and a light breakfast/sweet treat

I have been in NJ for 10 years and have tried this bakery a few times in the past. My wife enjoyed the gluten free chocolate cookie, although all of the savory breakfast items I purchased I didn't enjoy. They also used to have a nice guy who worked up front who was always pleasant to customers. I'm just getting around to writing about an experience I had with the bakery during a Holiday in the past year. I walked by the front of the bakery and the door was open so I asked to see if I could get some cookies for my wife. The person who addressed me after I asked for help said we're not taking any orders in a nasty tone. I tried to ask if that means no walk in orders and/ or no online or phone orders and they were nastier to me. I understand being busy for the holidays, but taking it out on customers isn't a good idea. I don't really mind though, as I found most of their breakfast items that I purchased in the past weren't to my liking, and my wife only liked the chocolate gluten free cookies, so not worth a trip there, especially if you can't be at least pleasant to all customers. Since they turned me off with their attitude, I found Balthazar Bakery in Englewood. I have to say that everything Balthazar sells is delicious, so I am glad that Erie Bakery was unpleasant to me which led me to Balthazar!!! Thank you

The place is charming but the baked goods I tried were very expensive for what it was, and either extremely sweet or lacking in depth. I also found it very inconvenient that nothing in the pastry display was labeled; no prices and signs to know what's what

I truly beautiful, hidden gem that I stumbled upon and Rutherford, just looking for coffee! I was pleasantly surprised to discover this place had incredible pastries, and an even more incredible decor. It’s covered in plants and fresh flowers everywhere honestly, a dream!And the pastries DID NOT DISSAPOINT! wow incredible cake slices , cookies and more . Plus great coffee !

How have I not reviewed Erie?! They are amazing! Truly, everything they bake is delicious! Their sweet and savory items are truly killer! We aren't big fans of the coffee but that's okay! We are picky, I'll be honest! Lol. Some may say they are pricey but I believe you pay for what you get. The quality is high and I believe their prices are fair! The staff is always so kind and patient! The decor/ambiance is beautiful! I always feel relaxed when I'm in the shop. Can't wait to buy a Valentine's Day sweets box!

Such a lovely bakery. My family and I stopped in to pick up some treats and drinks. The treats were so fresh and delicious. We especially enjoyed the almond cookie and olive oil cake. Coffee & tea were also amazing. You can tell they work hard and put a lot of love into it. The cherry on top was the hospitality. The ladies in the front were very kind and sweet. 1000% would recommend this bakery and we will definitely be back.

Most delicious pastries, I also love the work ethic that the bakery owner has and love to follow her journey on instagram. She is inspiring and so is this perfect little cafe!
I had such high expectations for their coffee since it's Cafe Grumpy beans but it was unfortunately one of the most diluted coffees I have ever gotten. Will only be sticking to their savory pastries moving forward.

The interior is small, so it can get quite jammed inside but the turnover rate for customers is pretty quick. We got the lemon ginger iced tea and raspberry hibiscus rose iced tea, which come unsweetened. Both delicious and they have a full range of coffee and espresso.

The interior is small, so it can get quite jammed inside but the turnover rate for customers is pretty quick. We got the lemon ginger iced tea and raspberry hibiscus rose iced tea, which come unsweetened. Both delicious and they have a full range of coffee and espresso.
