We ordered tahdig with gheimeh bademjan which was perfect. Tahdig was awesome. We also ordered koobideh, we liked it, but it was not the best we had in persian restaurants. Service was very good. We asked for more grilled tomato and they added 2 more grilled tomato for no extra charge.

The serving size for the amount you're spending doesn't make sense. The food tastes decent but not that good to warrant shelling out twice the price as everywhere else for half the portion size. The Greek place across the street is a good example. Half the price but twice the meat at this place.

Terrible service, we came 2 adults and 2 little kids and ordered a salad and one full entree. They told us that they won't serve us because we have to order more. Our children don't eat much why do we have to spend more money on the food we won't eat.

Rutherford is so fortunate to have the terrific Persian cuisine that Kabob on the Cliff serves.Their airy storefront café, very friendly staff, and gentle music always makes us feel welcome. We love their ash reshteh soup; their tadik is golden perfection; their ghorma sabzi is one of our favorite recipes of this great Persian stew, as is their tender and complexly delicious chicken fezsenjan. (We tend to gravitate toward their delicious Persian stews, salads, and side recipes, but often include an entree from their many kabob offerings, which are are prepared to perfection.(And their lovely Noruz Haft-seen display made us feel grateful to be celebrating the new year feasting on their delicious food.)
Really nice place. Great atmosphere inside with great food. Strongly recommend the beef kabobs and the lamb shank. Service is pretty fast as well. I believe it’s family run. A few non traditional desert options also available.

Great service. food was good. Mast-o-mossier was delicious. the chicken soltani was good. Rice was ok, chicken was juicy and delicious but kubideh was just ok. Skewers are on smaller side. Hot tea was really good and had the Persian aroma that went well with real Persian sugar cubes!
Amazing food.. really love it
