“I would give this place ten stars if I could. This place is great. My wife has celiac and they are always attentive to her dietary needs which is a big plus for me. The food is great. Prepared well and really huge portions which is great for me because I'm a big eater. Their veal shop is out of this world along with their skirt steak just to mention a couple of dishes. No matter what you order you can't go wrong. I tried their short rib over pasta and I loved it. I'm not even crazy about short ribs accept when I had them at Robert's Scratch Kitchen. They way he makes those short ribs is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. For the desserts, out of this world. The service is great. Any dietary needs, food allergies they will accommodate with great tasting food. If you want to any substitutions they will accommodate you. Great staff. For ambiance, the place is decorated beautifully. Really classy, and really clean. “The food here is excellent! I love when a chef has seasonal menus. We arrived the first night of their ‘Spring menu” and it was amazing. I had the crab cake appetizer and the scallops for my entree. The favorite thing I tried all night was the fried artichoke and calamari dish - omg a must try! My aunt had the cod for her entree which she loved. The portions are on the bigger side. “Our absolute favorite, go-to restaurant. The service is great - the owner is welcoming (even once escorted our toddler to the c-store next door to buy some candy) and all the wait staff is great, especially Jason who is incredibly kind. Food is excellent quality and fairly priced for how good it is. Pastas are cooked perfect al dente. Great meat dishes especially the pork chop french cut. The desserts are quite good as well - love the coconut cake. Because it's not huge it isn't quiet but we've never found it to be uncomfortably loud and it has a great ambience.“

“My favorite go to. From omelets to sandwiches and everything in between. Fresh and delicious every time. Love it!! Great guys, great chefs. You can order anything and they will prepare it perfectly. “We absolutely love Sage. We do a lot of take out. The short ribs with rigatoni and ricotta is absolutely delicious. My husband is a chicken parm person and enjoys that every time. The salmon dishes are very good as well as the shrimp. The fried calamari with the ti sauce is not to be missed. We've held graduation from college party at Sage and food always a hit. The gentlemen at the front has been there for years may be owner super nice man and always pleasant.“

“First off I have to start this review by saying that their food is great. Been here more than enough times to know that their food and drink is consistent and never fails. My go-to is the classic burger and my wife loves the grilled chicken dish. Fries are top notch. Service is always great. My only issue is the bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. Theres no sugar coating that. This is actually one of the main reasons I never became a regular. I hope they can go away from the classic pub bar bathroom vibe and tidy things up in there.“

When you are asked if you want your martini served in a martini glass that's a problem. I asked for stuffed olives and was served plain. She corrected it later after I asked. I blame training on that. The manager was fantastic! Very attentive and personable. We have dined there many times and food is always terrific. It was nice to hear live music tonight. Please tell your servers NOT to stack plates. It's rude and disgusting. You're not a diner.“

“Went here on St. Patrick's day. They were in full party mode as one would expect and hope for. It was memorable but the music was a bit to loud for me as it was almost impossible to have a conversation. I'm sure some others would disagree. The Irish food was pretty good, The beer was the best part. Had a Guinness of course.“

“Dietary restrictions: I still like the beef but it was actually bison meat. I am on the whole 30 diet. It’s very strict and only allows quality meats, veggies and fruit and that’s it. I was reluctant to get any sort of “fast food”. But I did not find fast food at Bareburger. It’s obviously the highest quality meats and ingredients. I had a double bison burger filled with caramelized onions and avocado and wrapped in collard green wrap. The food was of very high-quality and it was delicious. The bison was lean but not dried out like a hockey puck it was moist and tasty. Overall it was a great choice than a great experience. Even though it was a pick up both the server and bartender that helped me were very helpful and pleasant. As my massage therapist is in town I will be back!“

“Great local vibes here with a solid food and drink menu. Great service as well. Outdoor seating in the warmer months. My only knock is the noise. They have brick walls in the inside which don't absorb sound. It gets loud when crowded, which makes conversation a challenge. Something to consider if that's important you. Also, live music can be very loud. I wish they'd dial the volume down a tad on their speakers.“

“Our first time here and it was mostly enjoyable. We sat at the bar, having not booked a reservation, as that was the only seating available to us on a recent weekend afternoon. Our bartender was friendly and he made fantastic cocktails. We ordered an app, two mains and a side dish to share. The portion sizes were surprisingly generous for the price. We both took home leftovers. But...minus one star for lack of attention paid to clear away our plates (or any of the adjacent patrons plates) as the next courses of food came out. There simply was not enough room on the bar top, and no one was clearing it away. The place needs a dedicated barback on weekends.“

“We joined some family* here for lunch today. The bldg and the grounds were lovely looking. The inside has both banquet rooms for private events as well as a family feel bar and dining area. We were seated right away and the server was very prompt and friendly. Menu although not that large had a good variety. From appetizers and soups to full on entrees there was plenty to choose from. They had several specials to offer today. They are known for the burgers apparently. My aunt and husband both had the Swiss Mountain Burger. Both enjoyed them. Although the cooking between them was a bit different. My husband's was a bit pink IMO but he likes rare so didn't really care. My daughter enjoyed the penne and meatballs from the dedicated kids menu. It came with a drink and dessert. The portion was hearty and she loved the meatball! Dinner rolls on the table were amazing. Mini chibatta style that were crusty in the outside and soft and chewy in the inside. My uncle had the chicken cashew salad. Large salad although looked like only iceberg as the base. Overall filled with plenty of toppings. I enjoyed one of the salmon specials for today. I chose the grilled lemon pepper salmon. All entrees like this are served with either rice or potato and veggies. I had mashed which were very creamy and flavorful. The salmon had good flavor but IMO was cooked just a little too long. It was flaky but the edges seemed a little dry. Overall I'd recommend it but suggest asking for a medium cook. They offered a dessert menu although everyone was full and decided on just some specialty coffee. Most dishes were in the $15-25 range. Overall I'd recommend giving it a try. *Sorry for the lack of pics we were so excited to see our out of town family that I totally forgot!“

“Went back to Doghouse after a long hiatus and was pleasantly surprised that nothing changed except the live Jazz music on Thursday nights! Very cool! Food was the usual good greasy type except HUGE portions! My cheesesteak was large and tasty as well as my girl's grilled chicken sandwich... def get your moneys worth! Service was spotty but acceptable but then again it's a hometown pub, what do you expect? Stop in on Thursday nights for the live Jazz, saves a trip into the city!!“

“Open table needs to let people know when restaurants have large parties. Last night was very loud these two parties the more they drank the louder they got. “It was a nice place to have a meal. Kind of mid-lit trendy place. It was comfortable and our waitress was really friendly. Come to think of it, the hostess was really nice too. That set a good tone for the evening and we all loved our food. The Waygu burger in particular was amazing and cooked to perfection. The prices are a little high in general, but I would say they are about normal for Ridgewood. They have good cocktails for $18 each and they also have some nice local beers. There is a small side room that it looks like you could rent out, and it looks like it holds like 15 people or so.“

Parking lot it's a little small but I notice parking across the street from the business, so parking is not an issue. The place is not wheelchair accessible so if you have a problem like me going up/down stairs hold on thigh to the rail. Once inside I was greeted by a nice lady (owner maybe) and ask me if I reservation I said no but she got a table for me & my wife. Typical bar menu with an Asian twist, burgers with kimchi and teriyaki sauce, Asian nachos and tres leches wonton. The place is crowded but it's because is good ambience and the music is the best music I have ever heard in many restaurants I have been. Yeah the place is good overall, but the menu is very limited and the Asian flavor on almost every item not for me, but is ok to try.“

Both of my kids were in a terrible mood until they ate their food which was amazing (skirt steak and Caesar salad with salmon), so that perked them up.
