“We cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. We were there last night and once again the food and the service were amazing. The food is fresh and delicious. The prices are very reasonable especially for the quality. The shrimp dishes are delicious and the shrimp are huge. Honestly, we have never had a bad meal here and they treat you like family. It is family owned and has been for 30+ years. Kevin the waiter has been there for probably 30 of those years. He is excellent. Amanda and Ming are good, honest, hardworking, family people. As for the previous review, and having been there that night, the gentleman was loud and disrespectful not only to Kevin but the other patrons as well.“
“BJ Fish Soup in Edison, NJ, is an absolute feast for the taste buds! From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, the warm environment and friendly service made me feel incredibly welcomed. The decor is elegant, creating a warm and comfortable dining atmosphere, perfect for family gatherings or catching up with friends. The highlight, of course, is their signature Sour and Spicy Fish. The fish is fresh, tender, and seems to be carefully selected, pairing perfectly with the pickled vegetables. The balance between the freshness of the fish and the tangy crispness of the pickled vegetables is just right, complementing each other beautifully. The broth is rich but not greasy, with a moderate level of spiciness that even those who aren't keen on spicy food can enjoy. Additionally, the restaurant offers a variety of spice levels to satisfy different taste preferences. The portions in Edison, NJ, are generous, offering great value for money. The thoughtful service and delicious dishes have won me over time and again, leaving a lasting impression and a strong desire to return. If you're a fan of high-quality BJ Fish Soup, Edison, NJ, is definitely a place you don't want to miss.“
“This place serves the best hotpot I have every eaten. The chicken flavor in their popular pot has grrat taste. Service is excellent, the servers comes to you fast and food is served quickly too! They have been upgrading their restaurant by adding many more foods and even vending machines.“
“It is the second time we come as a family and the food is excellent, it is really impressive to find the typical Chinese/Venezuelan rice flavor with a Gourmet touch, the atmosphere is pleasant, clean and the service is wonderful, totally recommended!!!!! We will return without a doubt!“
“Nai Brother is definitely a hidden treasury. After several days authentic Chinese food hunting in Princeton, I visited Nai Brother Edison today. The pickled fish soup with snakehead fish fillet is absolutely the best!!! And the add-on veggies are super fresh and tasty.Highly recommend this place!!❤️“
“A good edition to the area. Great serviceChongqing Chicken - exceptional flavor although thechicken has boneMapo Tofu - the usual typical. Nothing different. Decent tasteThe mini hotpot (spicy broth) - consisting of several meat/veggies options. Very“
“Wonton Guys is an absolute gem! From the moment you step through the door, you're greeted with warm hospitality and the tantalizing aroma of authentic Chinese cuisine. Their wontons are a must-try, bursting with flavor and expertly crafted. Each dish is a masterpiece, showcasing the freshest ingredients and skillful preparation. Whether you're craving comforting classics or daring to explore new flavors, Wonton Guys delivers an unforgettable culinary experience every time. The ambiance is inviting, the service is exceptional, and the food is simply outstanding. Don't miss out on this culinary treasure!Parking: There are a few spots in the front, but very difficult to park. Extremely difficult to get out.“
“Damian was a great server. Drinks from the bar were great, as were the chicken lettuce wraps. I don’t know when they got rid of them but I missed the double pan fried noodles! Lighting was a bit harsh at our table, that’s why the 3 for atmosphere.“
“OMG this place is a hidden gem! So glad I found it. Amazing. Just go. Had the pork soup dumplings (best I’ve had), pan fried pork buns (Amazing!) , spring rolls (EPIC). Everything was so good I got the Pan Fried Udon w/spicy pork to-go. Nice little restaurant love it here. Will be back“
“We came across Empire Schezuan by googling one night, and never looked back. It is our go to! They are so friendly and accommodating (food allergy) on the phone every single time. The food is ALWAYS amazing; never oily or greasy. Everything tastes high quality every time we order. Delivery is always prompt, food is hot, driver is SO kind. I highly recommend this restaurant!!“
“Used to be my go-to Chinese place a few years ago. Went basic with general tso combo to test the waters again. Food was decent. Portion and container shrunk considerably. Same shape but shallow. We notice. Overall not bad. Not sure why so many places just can't get this dish crispy“
“It was awesome. The wait was only 2 or 3 minutes. Then, when we ordered, the food came out immediately. It was very good, and the sauces tasted great with it. We got boba as well, which was very good. Overall, it's not that expensive with it coming out to 30 dollars per person. Definitely recommend 10 out of 10Kid-friendliness: They had a whole section on the menu for kid friendly foods.“
“The food was good, and the service was great. The staff was really on top of things. It was a little expensive, though. My family of 4 spent $140, not including tips. And I don't get why they charged us an extra $1.99 per person for sauces.“
“Dunhuang is one of my favorite places to eat- I’ve been here a few times now and the quality is wonderful. Everything is flavored so well, reasonably priced, and the staff is always super helpful and friendly! Special shoutout to Taylor for helping me find a song that I liked on their playlist! Will always come back here :)“
“This is a hot pot place in Edison that's actually good and if you know what to get or what meat should you choose, you're going to get what you pay for. It's cheaper than Korean BBQ with Hot Pot because there's NO bbq here! The soup is what's good here. We got the combination or regular and spicy soup then chose the PREMIUM package to get more meat and seafood and ice cream for dessert! And you can get another serving of ice cream! There's also special drinks for PREMIUM packagWe were glad that we did although regular can get you to their good array of meats and vegetables. Loved that they have a good array of seafood on their regular package. They also have cotton candy for dessert on a weekday and some jelly desserts on the weekends. They have all the stuff to make a good sauce for your meats! You'd leave stuffed and happy!“
“I really really want to give 5 starts but the lack of flavor in certain dishes made me give 4. The Rock Shrimp appetizer is one of the best dishes I've ever had. EVER. The sauce, the crisp fry on the shrimp- I've had it twice and find myself thinking about it often! My husband ordered the whole red snapper fried- he loved it. The sauce it was in was also YUM. However, my last visit I had the salmon, and it was just ok and then this visit I had the sesame chicken and we ordered vegetable friend rice- and again, just ok. It's kind of weird bc I feel like these items has NO flavor. They were cooked wonderfully, but tasted as if I could make it at home. If I visit again I will order the rock shrimp as my appetizer and then again for my meal lol its THAT good! Service was exceptional both visits- from the host desk to the servers to the bus Boys.“
“So good! Came here with my friend for dinner; I ordered shrimp tempura sushi (which was absolutely delicious), and my friend ordered miso ramen (seen in picture). While the food was amazing, the service was even better. We were greeted as soon as we walked in, and were treated so kindly for our entire meal. Very nice and neat place, super lovely overall. Thank you for a great experience! We will definitely be back more often.“
“Chef Ge restaurant left a lasting impression with its authentic and boldly flavored dishes. The fried pork with pineapple was a delightful blend of natural sweetness, and the Master Ge Xiao Fry offered tender freshness with a balanced mouth-numbing sensation. The chicken with lotus roots & pepper was spicy, featuring tender, flavorful chicken and the added punch of pickled peppers—a must-try. While the Yummy braised pork belly lacked a distinct pork flavor, leaning more towards a deep-fried coating, it was still enjoyable. The restaurant's ambiance was flexible, in line with Chinese dining expectations. Overall, Chef Ge provided a satisfying culinary journey, showcasing a diverse menu with standout, memorable flavors.Parking: More parking space is at the right side of the building.“
“Cute mom and pop stop! Food is delicious, taste fresh and you can tell it’s cooked with love and care. I wouldn’t get Chinese from anywhere else in NB. You will NEVER be disappointed.. just be patient. The food is worth the wait. Crab Rangoon is the BEST I’ve ever had in my entire life,“
“Very nice atmosphere, a bit fancier than many Chinese restaurants. Most dishes are quite spicy - some in my family love these. But there are also some choices for those of us who prefer less spicy. My Chinese relatives consider the quality to be very high - one of the best restaurants in Central New Jersey.“
“I love the wonton tomato egg drop soup. It is different and so delicious. The hot and sour soup is also a favorite. The crispy noodles with duck sauce never disappoints, and I always have to grab a bag to go. The waiter Freddy is always friendly, and I love that they can make special dishes from Chinatown that's not on the menu.“
“Hands down one of the greatest Chinese restaurants in the Edison area. They’re so popular that on weekends there’s at least an hour long line out the door, but you have to reserve the seats in-person. 10/10 on the food and the atmosphere is always hustling and bustling. Enjoy!“
“Great place to eat fresh!! I feel that take out portions are much less than when you eat there. They can customize any dish and make them vegetarian. Cannot customize on Uber eatsVegetarian options: They can customize dishes to make them vegetarian. I got dry pepper fried tofu and cauliflower (which almost tasted like the chicken one!)“
“This place is close to my wife's work location and gets good reviews for her. I have eaten here throughout the years was never disappointed. When we first started coming here, my body was still a toddler, now he is in graduate school, this place is still an old reliable stand-by. The setting is not the fanciest but either is the price. Even after COVID, the price change has really been very reasonable. The same family runs this restaurant seems like forever. There has to be a reason a Chinese restaurant can survive for twenty years with the same ownership. The food is well seasoned, with pleasant texture, and served fast. The best description for this outfit is liken it to a cup of Mom's chicken noodle soup, pure comfort food.“
“The food here was exceptionally yummy. I've recently been hesitant about ordering fish due to consistent disappointments elsewhere, but this place surpassed my expectations. Their flavor profile took me right back to the Goan style dishes I once loved. Definitely a must-visit restaurant!“
“Delicious twist on fusion food, with standout dishes like the tangy Manchurian. The atmosphere is casual yet inviting, perfect for a laid-back meal. Quick service and generous portions make it a hit. Definitely worth a visit for a taste of something uniquely flavorful!“
“We ordered delivery to the raddison in freehold nj. Was absolutely fantastic! We stayed in freehold for 4 days and had takeout every night and this was by far the best takeout of our trip. We tried a wide variety of dishes and appetizers and it was all delicious. A must try if you are ever in the area.“
“I ordered the spicy beef stew. I am amazed at the complexity of the spice where, yes, it's spicy but tantalizing where I want to keep coming back for more bites. This is my first time here, and all I can say is wow! They provided me with white rice, a hefty amount of scallions, pulled beef, broth, egg pieces, and various ingredients. There is also this solid cold food in a lil cup that tastes like kimchi and it was refreshing respite to the spice afterwards. Would recommend 10/10?“
“The food is really good and the owner is very nice. I applied a coupon to my order which was not correct because of a computer calculation error but they provided the food anyway because I am a frequent customer. Excellent service and food, highly recommend.“
“Very authentic and good Northern East Chinese BBQ. Definitely deserve a rating higher than 4.5/5. I would give it a 4.8.I have been there 2 times in 2 weeks.?yeah that is how good the food is.?Very happy with everything we ordered.lamb skewers, chicken skewers, squid, mushroom, fish tofu, Taiwanese sausages, glazed eggplants, braised pork with glass noodles, etc... were all very delicious.Compared to other Chinese restaurants around, food portions and quality is amazing! The restaurant is small... so make sure to make a reservation and be there on time. (or you will need to join the wait-list.)Servers are friendly but not very polite?. but I get it, they are short staffed but packed with costumers. So I'm not too bothered by the manners. My only suggestion, maybe have a host/hostess upfront at the entrance to let people know how to join the wait-list or if they can be seated right away. When it gets busy,it is kinda confusing and chaotic.“
“I find it hard to believe I have not argued this place, maybe they changed businesses or owners and my old review is there. Which I can totally own because when I originally started coming here it was just sultan wok and now it is sultan wok/ Asian Express. This is my top choice spot for Chinese takeout locally. To the point where when they are closed and I want Chinese takeout, I just wait until they're open and get something else. My go-to is the general tso is chicken, with which I like to treat myself for lunch when I am working from home. Is this the best Chinese food I've ever eaten, I don't know. Does it satisfy the craving when I have it, absolutely. I would say there are days when I think their food is particularly better than others, without rhyme or reason, but I do tend to find their food tends to be better more often than it's not. Not. I also like when general tso chicken has a nice crunch to it and they tend to have better chicken than other places. I don't think I've ever had it and it'd be soggy unless I'm reheating it which does not count. The woman there tends to be very friendly. Who takes the orders, they have to have a system that gives the name of the customer because she always knows my name and greets him with a hello Mike when she answers the phone. Now if I ordered more regularly I could totally see her knowing my name. However, I do not order frequently enough for her to know who I am, which makes me think they have to have some sort of system. Either way it's nice or is she just that good at her job. All in all, I don't think you can go wrong. Getting takeout from here. I've tried some other spots in town with high recommendations and have been sorely disappointed. I hate soggy chicken and I've never gotten soggy chicken from here.“
“I like the food here, but the prices keep going up and the portions going down. They never put napkins or forks or spoons or condiments in the bag so make sure you ask when you pick up or order food for delivery. I think they have the best general chicken in the area. So I’d recommend overall.“
“Parking: There's little parking space on the street, but it's free and it's there. Though there's a time limit. Don't park in the street spaces if you are a student with a registered car, they will fine you for being in visitors' spaces.“
“Friend of mine highly recommended this restaurant, I have been order many times right now, became the regular customer here ,dumplings which were awesome , very tasty it’s completely homemade ,the general Tao’s chicken it was amazing, and chicken broccoli, so many good food . Now This is my only take out place !!!“
“My honest review on Wongs, restaurant: Chinese food is absolutely amazing! With its rich history, diverse flavors, and unique cooking techniques, Chinese cuisine has captivated taste buds all over the world. From the fiery spices of Sichuan cuisine to the delicate flavors of Cantonese dishes, Chinese food offers a wide range of flavors and textures that are sure to satisfy any palate. One of the things that makes Chinese food so special is its emphasis on balance and harmony. Traditional Chinese cooking often incorporates the concept of Yin and Yang, striving to create dishes that are not only delicious but also nourishing and beneficial for the body. This focus on balance is evident in the careful selection of ingredients, the artful combination of flavors, and the meticulous preparation methods. Chinese cuisine is also known for its wide variety of ingredients and cooking styles. From stir-frying and steaming to braising and deep-frying, each cooking method brings out unique flavors and textures in the dishes. Whether it's the crispy skin of Peking duck, the tender morsels of Dim Sum, or the fragrant aroma of a bowl of hot and sour soup, Chinese food never fails to impress with its culinary diversity. One cannot talk about Chinese food without mentioning the incredible range of regional cuisines. China is a vast country with diverse landscapes and climates, and each region has its own culinary traditions and specialties. From the spicy dishes of Sichuan to the hearty noodles of Shanxi, exploring the different regional cuisines of China is like embarking on a culinary adventure. But it's not just the flavors and techniques that make Chinese food so good. It's also the cultural significance and the sense of community that is often associated with sharing a meal. In Chinese culture, food is not just sustenance; it is a way to bring people together, to celebrate special occasions, and to show love and hospitality. Whether it's a family gathering, a festive banquet, or a casual meal with friends, the act of sharing a delicious Chinese meal creates a sense of connection and joy. So, whether you're craving a plate of General Tso's chicken, a steaming bowl of dumplings, or a comforting bowl of fried rice, Chinese food is sure to satisfy your taste buds and leave you wanting more. It's a cuisine that celebrates flavors, traditions, and the joy of gathering around the table. So, go ahead and indulge in the wonderful world of Chinese cuisine! ???“
“Great food, service, and atmosphere. I ordered the roast duck noodles (spicy), and it was delicious. Definitely recommended getting it spicy. Great flavor, and you literally will drink the broth. It was so good. Service was great, order at the counter and they will bring the food to you if you dine in. While I was there, quite a few people were in and out, getting to go and take out meals. The atmosphere is very comfortable and the music is perfect. I will definitely be back.“
“I have tried A LOT of chinese takeout restaurants but this one is definitely one that I will stick with. I ordered for delivery from Cheng Garden and it was phenomenal. To start off the price was not bad especially with tax, delivery and tip included. the service was quick to deliver (the places I usually order from take about an hour). Secondly the food itself was everything I craved and so much more. It went beyond my expectations,, very fresh and delicious. Lastly, the packaging of the food was so unique and organized, it was just amazing. Definitely a place worth trying if you're craving good Chinese takeout!!“
“I cannot say enough good things about this place. The service, food and pricing are all exceptional! I actually found out this place from a coworker of mine and figured I would give it a go because I was in search of a different Chinese food restaurant to start ordering from. I won't name places, but when I first moved to the area in 2010 I went to a different place for a few years but their food quality went WAY down (and way before Covid so that can't even be the excuse). Then I found another place who's food I liked but after Covid their prices skyrocketed. So I gave this place a chance and so glad I did. The pricing is beyond reasonable, the food is always delicious and the service is always fantastic. The lady that takes the orders and takes care of the customers is SO friendly and appreciative. The only downfall is they do not deliver and I don't believe they have anything set up with GrubHub etc. So if you're not close to them, then it could be a hike to go pick up the food. But if you do, it'll be worth it ;)HIGHLY recommend!“
“Today I came to this place, ordered the sesame chicken and it surprised me how good it was, the crispy texture and flavor was out of this world. And the food came out really fast so I didn’t have to wait as I was on a rush, 100% recommend for others!“
“We always enjoyed how hot (temperature) the noodle soups are! Best on a cold night!! We also love their cold dishes. However, we noticed the resteraunt has reduced the food quantity for each dish at least by 1/3 compared to wheen thèy first opened. Sad.“
“My family and I had lunch here today. We had: -chicken rice soup -wonton and egg drop soup -lemon chicken -sesame chicken -pepper steak -paradise shrimp The portions were huge and delicious. The staff was friendly and very efficient. We will be back!“
“Really good food. The lady at the counter was really kind and sweet! The scallion pancakes were good, and the taro boba tea was delicious and had a very good deal. The sesame chicken comes with fried rice and both were amazing too! Highly recommend going here!“
“Me and my boyfriend have been craving authentic Chinese bbq skewers for a while and stumbled upon this place online. The waitress was very nice, but spoke very little english - the Chinese menu translations were pretty rough so we weren't too sure exactly what we ordered, but just went with it and hoped for the best. We were not disappointed and will definitely be coming back again to try some other things on the menu! Lamb/beef skewers: 5/5These honestly hit the spot - were probably the most authentic skewers I've had in the states EVER. Each skewer had a generous amount of meat and was perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection. We could not stop raving about these throughout the meal! Dongjia spicy hotpot: 5/5Although we were expecting a hot pot of soup, this dish more than made up for that. It is a dry hotpot dish with meat, veggies, etc. all piled into one pot. This dish was a little on the saltier side, but the mala flavor was prominent and was a good, flavorful follow up to the skewers from before. Tasty pork appetizer: 3/5This dish ended up being deep fried coated pork served with a side of dried spices to dip the pork into. We kind of ordered this on a whim without knowing what to expect and was the dish we probably would've swapped out for something else. The quality of the dish was not bad, just wasn't as good compared to the first two dishes. They do give a lot of pork for an appetizer dish, so we were able to take some home. We noticed halfway throughout the meal that every single table ordered this one dish and after looking up other reviews found out it was something called guobaorou - will add this to try next time we come back :)“
“Lovely restaurant. My wife was working in the area and decided to pick up some take out for dinner; 2nd best decision she made in her life, next to marrying me ?. Everything tasted so fresh!!! They did not half a** anything. Their eggrolls are a must try, extremely fresh! We are originally from Brooklyn, NY, so we had our share of Chinese takeout… so if we are traveling 30 mins both ways for Chinese takeout, that should say a lot. This place does not miss ?? Hits the spot every time.“
“I’ve been eating at this place for a while. It’s pretty good standard Chinese food oh and the sushi is always good. The reason I’m writing this review is because of their delivery driver. An older gentleman came to my door with a smile very friendly. After he handed me the bag he extended his hand for a hand shake and said happy new year. You don't see that type of kindness/friendliness every day. Give panda house a try good people work there“
“Just tried this place for the first time and my family loved it. It was a little out of my way, but always love trying something new. Ordering was easy and the person on the phone was very patient with my complicated order. My sister is gluten free and they were easily able to accommodate her for any dish we wanted (she had the veggie fried rice and garlic string beans).“
“I ordered take out from ugly dumpling and enjoyed the food. Hot n sour. 5/5. One of the best hot n sour soups I've had. It was rich in flavor and plenty of ingredients. Orange chicken. 4.5/5 it was very good. Flavorful and I enjoyed the taste. I liked the fact that it wasn't too saucy. Beef n shishito peppers. 5/5. The best item. Beef was Tasty n flavorful. Served with a cup of rice. Diced beef noodle. 3.5/5 I was expecting this to be the best item. But there was some after taste to the soup, which I didn't enjoy. The place was very spacious from inside and there was plenty of seating. My food was ready in timely manner and service was quick.“
“Great cozy place with the most delicious thai cuisine. My favorite shrimp pad thai is delicious here, tom yum seafood soup is perfectly hot and spicy and scallops in spicy mango sauce is wonderful. And i just can’t get over the host who without writing anything down got the order for 4 people with appetizers, salads and entrees absolutely perfect “
“Had dinner here twice and the quality of the food is very good. You can tell by the great green tea and great food. Healthier than must places I have been too around here.I had the scallops and my husband had shrimp. Lots of flavor. The service is very good too. I wish this place was in a better location. They are great and deserve a 5 star review for sure!Price is great for the quality.Have been to places more expensive where the amount of food is small. So, I highly recommend this place if you care about good quality and good service.“
“Best chicken and broccoli ever. I moved to hunterdon county for a few years and good Chinese was impossible to find. While I'm not happy to be back in middlesex county, one if the perks is that I have delicious Chinese food back in my life. Love their lo mein, dumplings, and egg rolls as well!“
