“Where do I startAmbiance is beautiful they have a pink room good for flicks very small and secluded it was fairly empty which after I ate I wondered why on a SaturdayMusic was great mix of old school rnb and reggaeWe ordered the oxtails soul food rice and fish it wasssssss soooooooo good although it took a little while found out every order is made fresh and it tasted like it 10/10“
“Very authentic street Mexican. Good food. You enter the establishment, order in line and then they give you your food to eat at high standing tables. Great to eat quickly and well without spending a lot.Kid-friendliness: Yes, children are accepted.“
“Not gonna lie the food was pretty good, there’s a nice ambiance in the spot, over looking the view of the city from queens but the thing that really did it was the waiter, Gary. Not gonna lie top 5 waiter I’ve ever had an encounter with and I’m a chef in the food industry. If you ever come here make sure Gary is your waiter, I promise he will not disappoint !!!!!“
“I work on third and 53rd do I go to the Hugh often for lunch. It is absolutely over priced -every single one of the businesses there... However... The food is freaking excellent, which is very surprising. I have gotten the fish tacos from PESCE de LULU with both the Mediterranean salad as well as the delicious )duck fat fried!!) french fries several times... Absolutely mouthwatering, and again extremely fresh.“
“Excellent service. Very good selection of food and drinks. I ordered the “Patrona” drink and the nachos appetizer and enjoyed it very much. Many thanks to the bartender Angélica who served me.Excellent service. There was a great and varied selection of drinks and food. I ordered the “Patrona” drink and an order of nachos as an appetizer. I enjoyed these a lot. Thank you for the bartender Angelica for their service.“
“Hidden gem of a food truck. Lots of meat in the tacos. Delicious consomme. Open late. What's not to love? They have a deal for 3 tacos but I recommend getting 5 if you are hungry.Consomme has lots of meat chunks too so you will get your fill of protein here.“
“I'm late to the party but I'm glad I've arrived. Delicious, special, creative and beautifully made food in a gorgeous space with great energy and people who gladly serve what they proudly make. Not your typical Thai, and thank goodness for that. Pad Thai is the best I've ever had. The shrimp entree is also amazing. The fried rice with crab is incredible. And even if you don't think you have room, the pandan dessert is incredible and will be on your mind for weeks after. If you're like me tho, you'll go back the following week and have it again.“
“This cozy spot stole our hearts with its chill vibes, perfect for both date nights and gatherings with friends. ✨ The music sets the mood, and the bar seems like the place to be next time for an even livelier atmosphere.Food: The Kalifornia, Shrimp hand rolls, and Fish + Chips Takos were absolute winners - fresh, flavorful, and left us wanting more. The pork dumplings were decent, but we've had better. The Oyster Mushrooms, although tasty, were a bit heavy on the batter.Drinks : The Suntory beer was refreshing, but the Paradise Lost stole the show - a tropical explosion that balanced sweet, smoky, and spicy notes perfectly. Highly recommend it!Overall, a charming spot with great potential. We'll definitely be back to explore the menu and bar scene further!“
“Great!! As someone who grew up in TX, I’m usually disappointed in Manhattan’s Mexican food options, but this is actually authentic and delicious! The consumé in particular was phenomenal. Only way this could be better is if they also sold horchata or tamarindo aquas frescas?“
“When I find a gem, I share it! Yes, yes, yes! Hallelujah to good food! We were trying to find some tacos to eat before going home and I came across a little taco truck that I had to try! They have the pastor tacos in the traditional rotating-roster, and they were delish! I also had an elote ? with everything, and a tiny bit of the powder-picante was enough for me to get a kick of spice in my mouth that turned on all the right taste buds! The lady who took care of us was polite, fast, and so kind! I will definitely be back to try the other tacos they have!!“
“I've been meaning to leave a review for this restaurant for some time. From the moment I first came here, I knew I'd become a regular, and I definitely have. BEST Mexican restaurant in NYC. Food is always consistently amazing. I always order the chicken & shrimp tacos. Flavor is amazing. The margarita's are strong. The service is always spectacular. Every worker here is so so kind and attentive. One of my overall fav restaurants. I love it here“
“Can you say “las Catrinas” after a few of these delicious must cocktails , in a gringo acento ?This is and will be an Astoria icon. When the aliens arrive , this will be their first stop , bc the food and drinks its out of this world.GPAR our sever (hard to rsvp as well ) just an amazing person, always smiling always there when you need him , just like Superman!Cheers and thank you guys !“
“I recently hosted my bridal shower here and it was the best experience I could have asked for. From start to finish, Victoria was patient and accessible for any questions. The atmosphere was great and the food was even better! I did not have to worry about dietary restrictions for my guests (vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free) as they had them all covered! I would definitely recommend Uno Mas for your next event, as my experience was seamless.“
“This is a very underrated truck in the city. One of the best birria spots I've tried in a while. I tried this place on new years, and it was sooo good, I dragged any of my friends that mentioned anything about food that day. I first got the birria torta, which was a heavenly sandwich, and a great deal for 10$. I also went back for a birria quesadilla, which was also really good! The service was quick both times, and I really appreciate them keeping reasonable prices on new years, with 1 dollar waters and 2 dollar sodas! I can't speak too much about the ambiance because I assume this was a temporary location for new years, but I would follow this truck anywhere. No food pics, food was gone way before I ever thought about taking a picture.“
“Daniel was great with the hookah! On point . Flavors came nice and smooth , lasted a good amount of time . Reasonable prices. Taco Tuesdays are a great deal here. Servers can get busy but they do their best to take care of you. Great drinks, Dj was great. Good “
“Possibly one of the best tacos I've ever had. Came in on a weekday, ordered the chicken Tikka masala taco and it was out of this world. Bread freshly baked and they're very generous with portions. One business recommendation is to highlight the fresh bread oven for customers to see the experience and highlight the food service for customers to see the quality ingredients used.“
“Finally a really delicious taco place in the area. The service was great, the lady at the register was so nice, friendly and helpful. We ordered to take home, had planned on eating inside but there was no heat inside. My wife had Birria Tacos and a Quesabarria, she really enjoyed them both, especially the Tacos. I had the crunchy Taco and Quesadillas, both were very good. The crunchy Taco was so good, this place really knows how to make Tacos. We will be back for sure. Highly recommend trying. Also ordered churros, but didn't try yet.“
“They serve excellent tacos. I like that it gives off street corner tacos like in Mexico but this is obviously indoors. Personally, the red salsa was best. Cuernitos tacos are yum yum yum with lime on top. 100% recommend if you’re thinking taco night.“
“Tried their birria tacos, tacos al pastor and the horchata and everything was perfect. Everything was fresh and delicious. Probably some of the best birria tacos I’ve ever had. The customer service was also very good. Definitely going back!!“
“The gentleman running the place was very friendly and welcoming. You could tell he puts real heart into the food and man was that delicious. Small storefront doesn’t take away from the deliciousness that was my pupusas. Can’t wait to go back for more.“
“Some of the best tacos I've had on the East coast. These are on par with California and Texas tacos. Most of the tacos in NYC and NY and terrible, but not Los Ferchos. This is a great family run deli, with the whole family helping to make super authentic tacos in the back. The staff is super friendly, and they even have a couple tables inside and outside for you to enjoy your food. They also make homemade ice pops and they have some very niche authentic Mexican food items too like Oaxaca cheese and Mexican desserts. Easily the best tacos in the Hudson Valley, and maybe NY too.“
“Place is not bad. First time we went was for my wife's birthday. We were excited for Birria tacos. The consome was not bad. My wife enjoyed it. Taco shells are crispy and cheese was just the right amount. Meat was good portion. The place is very small. Its my only complaint. The waitress is good but there's only one in the place so if it's busy it's hard for her to tend to every table but she tries her best. They should add ground beef as part of their meat options. I would recommend this place if you're in a mood for some good tacos.“
“Very cute place that I randomly stumbled upon while in little Italy, Arthur Avenue searching for somewhere to have lunch. They served Authentic Mexican juices like horchatas and Jamaica. As well as different Mexican dishes and ramen. The server who was also the owners son was really nice. I enjoyed the food. The place was very vibrant and welcoming.“
“Mandatory tip of 20% if you spend over $100 with a credit card. They don’t tell you, so a lot of my friends and colleagues were double tipping for over a year - the staff doesn’t say anything. Otherwise, best vibes of any bar, amazing food, amazing drinks, amazing music, amazing ambiance.“
“Love this place to death. The food is always how I like it. The gentleman that manages the place named manuel always keeps it clean and tidy. Super friendly with the students. I’d recommend this place to anyone. I really enjoy everything on the menu to be honest. I’m a simple guy“
“I was looking for a restaurant that serves Mexican food ? due to the face the only other one I been too is like 40 minutes away so we decided to find one closer to home before going to work n honestly I was amazed how nice we were treated and the food was delicious I mean I still full and the serves and cook ask if we would like veggies in are food due to the fact we don't eat meat and the price was cheap so thank you for serving us a delicious meal I will be coming back againVegetarian options: They can make anything Vegan-friendly if you don't eat meat.“
“The flavor, the freshness, the ingredients are an explosion of exquisite flavors, the sauces are delicious, and the waters are very refreshing and low in sugar, they are exactly the same as a Mexican water, and the hot churros are delicious.Everything is fresh, you can tell that theTortilla is made fresh and when you order it fried it is a spectacle, its cronchi is very very deliciousWhat I obviously recommend are the most delicious tacos in all of Cliffsade Park and its buff surroundings.“
“Conmigo is fantastic any day of the week! With a great UES location, perfect ambiance, massive always evolving menu, and really great service, this place is securely on my list of go to NYC spots. The staff are really nice and if you’re lucky enough to meet Jack you’ll see how much care and effort are put into every single sip and bite at this establishment. Some highlights of this visit were the Snake Bite cocktail, the massive taco flight, and all 3 salads. DO NOT sleep on the salads. Easily some of the best I’ve had in NYC ever. I can’t wait for my next visit!“
“Staff is extremely friendly, chicken pot pie soup is amazing! Steak tacos are amazing as well! Cheese empanada was super gooey and delicious. Can't wait to go back. Huge soup selection with dietary restriction clearly marked for each soup. Easy to figure out what you can have.“
“The atmosphere is nice and welcoming. The service was friendly. Food is all homemade. Therefore, there is a little wait. If you're ordering food for lunch while working, be sure to place your order ahead of time so you're not late heading back to work! I had the enchiladas with chicken with beans and rice. Although the chicken inside the enchiladas wasn't seasoned, the green sauce made up for it. Their salsas are great with lots of flavor. My goto Mexican restaurant from New Jersey!“
“The torta was excellent, the space clean and tidy, and the service was great. The cashier and the staff in the kitchen made sure to explain the sauce spice levels. It seems like a small family run business and the pride they showed in their storefront and food was mirrored in the flavor of the food.“
“Unfortunately I am attempting to finish this review in 2024, long after visiting this establishment so I do not recall my visit here besides giving it 5/5 stars. So in my very trusted book of ratings, I absolutely enjoyed this spot and the food was amazing. So I'll be back and do a better job reviewing next time.“
“Great little staple of the clifton community. Many of the old tavern bars cease to exist, but this one still stands strong. And there's a reason why basements style esthetics and lively atmosphere keep long time patrons coming back.Want a man's cave and can't afford it? This place is the next best thing. From pool to darts, to sports on their many TVs, theres something to keep you around and occupied.Their staff and owners are attentive and friendly. They will keep you serviced and make you feel like one of the family as soon as you open that door.If you're looking for a bar like cheers,"Where everybody knows you name," look no further. Stop in and dedice for yourself.“
“honeslty the best tacos i ever had! lots of meat and great flavor. they don't skimp on anything. all of the tacos are $3 except beef tongue which is $4. i got a chicken taco and steak taco for $6. it came with toppings, two different great tasting green sauces, and pico de gallo (on the taco and on the side). i love that they are open late“
“I believe Tacombi is doing great in the way they hire their staff. My first experience with Tacombi was at their location at 79th street and Amsterdam Ave. Their manager was a Latino man, who I observed going out of his way a few times to help on the floor and to greet customers even delivery workers. Unfortunately I do not remember his name but he must still be there since he does an amazing job.At this establishment, I ate both a chicken and steak quesadilla. The chicken and steak were flavorful and it is something that I would definitely order again.I also visited Tacombi on 70th street between Third and Second Ave. This time, I only went for a beer but I observed their hostess working the floor while taking care of the delivery workers. Every interaction was completed with effectiveness and a smile.Kudos to Tacombi and their belief in customer service.“
“First thing first seamoss blends are great preferably blueberry pineapple, thank me later. The refresher drinks on the sweeter side but still very good. Now the food is interesting I would never guessed to use jackfruit as a substitute but it works nicely. The best option I believe, this is just my opinion you can choose whatever you want, are the tacos. The burrito is good also but the taco is just better for some reason maybe its the shell they use for the taco, its a simple hardshell taco but it’s simplicity allows that cashew creme, kale and jackfruit flavor to really stand out.“
“Visited Lucio Angelita Tacos, what an outstanding spot. Lucio Angelita Tacos is a total gem of a find. Each and every single item that we ordered was incredibly fresh and flavorful. People who work there are incredibly pleasant and welcoming. I am already planning to go back to Lucio Angelita Tacos.“
“I had the privilege of having Eastern Kitchen cater my wedding back in June of 2023. The food was absolutely AMAZING. Numerous guests said it was the best wedding food they've ever had and I would agree. It is top-notch Korean food. The menu variety and quality were both phenomenal. James did an amazing job catering our wedding. Thanks from Daniel and Nicole“
“I was having an active weekday morning and I wanted some good breakfast tacos. Hearty and fresh. I came across this food truck outside the New York Times building and the pictures depicted on the side do not do it justice for what I received. The tacos were heart with meat, eggs, veggies, some spices. As I type, I crave them.I could feel like there was real New York love embedded in this food. I would not want to go anywhere else.“
“(Translated by Google) Hello friends I recommend this place to eat very good service very good food and fresh bread every day very rich bread bread(Original)Hola amigos Les recomiendo este lugar para comer muy buen servicio la comida muy buena y pan fresco todos los días muy rico pan pan“
“My favorite grab-and-go coffee shop on my weekdays. The coffee is great and there are many fall menus to try. I have tried 4 of them and would say that the salted caramel latte is my favorite. The barrista is very friendly and the place is bright and pleasant despite being small with limited seating. They have a point card too. So, once you have completed your 10th cup, the 11th one will be free!“
“I have eaten here about half a dozen times and it is one of my favorite Taco places! The Avocado taco is Excellent!! and so is the Carne and the Pollo. Love the service, the atmosphere, and the decor! Not the best location because of traffic, but the food is just great!!!!!!!!!!!!“
“First off, this might be the cleanest restaurant I've ever been to. Normally I wouldn't even notice that but it's in a car wash so that feels like part of the charmThere is a sign on the car wash indicatign that the taqueria is in there but when you walk in you wouldn't know it. You need to walk through the car wash lobby to the back of the restaurant. This is probably my favorite taqueria. The food is generously seasoned and generously portioned, and the Cubana torta is one of my favorites in the city. All at a reasonable price for the city too. The chorizo nachos are also a favorite. Extremely generous topping to chip ratio nad the chips are fresh. Also love the al pastor taco. It's off the GCP and near the airport so I stop by on the way out to Long Island from Queens if traffic isn't too bad.“
“We had a burrito and quesadillas. We spontaneously came across this cute and colorful little shop. The team was very warm and friendly. The food was fantastic. Beautiful fresh ingredients and so tasty and juicy too! We will definitely come back and can definitely recommend this lovely shop.“
“Javi Chimi definitely hits the spot. I've had their chicken chimi definitely a hit. I've also had their fritura platter, the fritura was fried to perfection. My only complaint, their fried plantains were soggy. They accept Apple Pay, Google Pay, & Cashapp.“
“We went for brunch. We had a reservation for a group of 6. The place was a good vibe. The bottomless brunch was wellllĺ worth it. We each ordered a different dish. The food...phenomenal. We all enjoyed the 6 different dishes!! Can't go wrong in this place!! Can't wait to go back for their buffalo wing!“
“Cesar and his family business left my wife and I over the moon satisfied with their delicious food, positive and energetic service, and overall grade A experience. The wings were incredible, the tacos amazing, and the nachos hit the spot. First time but definitely not the last time. Hidden gem!“
“I never write reviews… but I was so blown away by the quality of the meats/ingredients & quantity… not forget the taste. Amazing! Will it be a bit more expensive than a deli yes by a couple of bucks… however you will get you moneys worth! There are restaurants that will try cut corners to save money at your expense and still have high prices. Not this place! This Restaurant shows integrity.. & quality!Even the packaging was on point. If you live in Astoria, or plan to eat Mexican food this is The Spot. This place should be packed, & having 50 delivery guys at a time.Love the food.“
“This place is amazing! Super friendly service, delicious smoothies and some of the best prices for fresh smoothies and juices in the area. Very generous sizes too!Dietary restrictions: They have almond milk, coconut milk and coconut water for smoothies. Vegan friendly!“
“I didn't even know this place existed until a friend suggesting going here for dinner and I'm so glad. This place is a hidden gem.***In a rush? Skip to the end for my tips.*** When we arrived, they were getting ready for a private event later that evening, but they still let us stay and eat. The owner patiently waited (and had to come back several times) because it took us a bit of time to make up our mind. Everything sounded so good, so it was hard to choose just a few dishes. We were very happy with our choices. Everything was delicious!- Shrimp burger - I already knew that the texture would be like a patty consistency of minced shrimp, but my friends were surprised because they were expecting whole shrimp pieces in the burger. I was a fan of the dill sauce on it, but if you don't like dill, maybe ask for it on the side? The dill taste and smell is strong, which goes perfectly with the shrimp burger.- Empanada Sampler - I wish I remembered what flavors were included in this, but everything was super good.- Mofongo Supreme - The mofongo was delicious and it came with pieces of cheese, shrimp, and steak. Definitely need to go back to try the lobster mac and cheese that everyone seems to be raving about and try their other dishes, as well, which all sound delicious.Tips: - There is plenty of street parking nearby and even a municipal parking lot to the left of the restaurant (if you are facing the restaurant).- It seems like a lot of people do take-out so that is an option, too.- We went on a Saturday night and left around 8:30 and they were supposed to be opened until 11:00, but they closed early for a private event, so maybe you should call ahead to make sure that they are open for guests or pick-up. Someone stopped by and was disappointed that they were closed early.“
