This restaurant is perfect for meeting up with friends to have a very nice, casual, reasonably priced, excellent meal. We had delicious hummus (as good as hummus you eat in the Middle East) as an appetizer, served with small triangles of wonderful, warm pita. For the main course, I had the special, quinoa salad with sweet potatoes, feta and other veggies - delicious! My friend, a personal chef, also ordered a special - the hummus bowl with Brussel sprouts. She enjoyed her food as much as I did and was impressed with Bella's Kitchen food presentation. If you're not familiar with the taste of tahini to begin with (earthy if you will), then I would recommend a flavored one-roasted red pepper tahini: a gift from above ! There is a slight sweet yet smokey flavor that wraps everything together-garlic jalapeño tahini: not as spicy as you'd imagine so it just gives a nice lil zest to your dish-lemon & olive oil : depending on what you put in your order, this will help with overall texture. If you opted out of wet stuff (tomatoes, lettuce, etc) this is your choice !Lastly,The Earth Burger: like a big ole falafel and WOW did not disappoint. Maintained the integrity of the falafel (crispy outside, soft inside) while giving you the satisfying big bite you're looking for. Only complaint is since it is such a hearty size, maybe a size of tahini or tatziki should accompany it. We had hummus and the portion was small and we wanted more. But instead of ordering a second, we went with Israeli Salad and then the branzino in a dish called Moroccan Fish. Yum yum. Their bread, the taboon bread, was delicious. We each couldn't get enough of the sauce in the Moroccan fish dish. Service was fantastic. Our waiter, Leonardo, knew the menu and was helpful. We weren't planning on getting desserts but then with his prodding, we got the Malabi and the halvah with ice cream. Both were so satisfying. I would definitely go back. He asked me if id like any suggestions and we landed on the chicken platter with spicy chickpeas rice and cole slaw. Everything about this bowl was immaculate. The chicken was well seasoned and spiced, the chick peas were tender and savory, and the rice was such a great compliment to the protein. I also ordered their fries because why not!The portion size was generous but not overbearing. They had the mexican coke glass bottles which was a great choice to wash the food down with. Went to pick up and it was ready on time. They pack every 10 in a neat box. Fresh bread was just coming out of the oven and I had to try. The lahamacun is thin and made fresh, the seasoning was perfect. One of the best I tasted in NJ. The bread was fresh, soft and delicious also. Definitely going back to try the pides and pizzas.
