Poor time management. My gruphub order was not ready after 1 hr. had to come again later as told, but it was still not ready. They were busy taking walkin order instead.

I've tried the other pizza places in town and haven't been impressed. Let me start by saying I don't like thick dough as my pizza crust. The other locations around town don't have flavor in the pizza sauce itself, they taste like simply crushed tomatoes out of a can. This pizza was five stars all the way around. Beautiful crisp crust and cooked perfectly on the bottom. I'm not sure where these bad reviews came from, but I met a nice lady and gentleman while there, and they were as nice as can be. This is my new pizza spot in Tenafly!

After trying other pizza spots in town, this is certainly my favorite. The dough was thin, but not too thin. (I hate doughy piza crust, which this town seems to enjoy). The pizza sauce was well seasoned, and it was cooked perfectly crisp. My new go-to for pizza in Tenafly. The young lady and gentlemen working were very kind as well.

I would rate 0 if I could. The owner was very rude and disrespectful cursing in store and at the employee in a different language. Did not acknowledge me at all but acknowledged other customers. She also threw a piece of paper at the employee after yelling at him. Also tried to take his tip, so disgusting to see. Don’t recommend at all save your time.

I was in town visiting dear old mom, driving all the way from The Midwest, 500 miles and 9 hours away. I grew up in Tenafly a long time ago (when the town seemingly had a lot more soul and personality than it does now), and it was a very special place back then, with a Dairy Queen, Friendly's, Charlie Brown, original Tenafly Diner, an actual movie theater, and so many more cool places that are gone now. Anywho, I tried out Paulie's for the first time, fondly remembering the classic Angela's Pizzeria, which was at the same location back in the 70's (it looks like Paulie's even has the original Bari Pizza ovens that Angela's had!). Middle and High Schoolers would often stop by there for a slice, and the die hards would dip their pizza crust in their cup of Coke or Pepsi! I would always look forward to cruising my mom's 1968 Olds Ninety Eight (with a Rocket 455 V-8) land yacht down E. Clinton Avenue, downtown to pick up an Angela's pie or 2! Even though I was 15 with no driver's license! In summation, Paulie's pizza was good, but certainly not on the same level as Angela's back in the day.

We ordered a pizza from Paulie's tonight. I have to say that we will never order from them again. Firstly, they did not ring the doorbell, instead leaving the food on the stoop. By the time we checked out front, it was cold. The pizza was small-we ordered large, for an up charge. We ordered Sausage, onions and peppers, which was a nine dollar up charge-if there was two dollars of topping on it, it would've been a lot. The pie was $27 before the delivery fee. All this would've been fine if it was good. The Caesar salad was a take away container of torn iceberg. No parmigiana cheese or croutons. When I called to complain they hung up on me. Substandard at best. There are better places to order from.

This place is absolute garbage. There is absolutely no AC, no restroom, rude service. She wouldn't let me take my own back pack and yelled at my friends for sitting outside . keep in mind, they weren't making a lot of noise. she told them that they can only sit outside if they order pizza, but her store was closed. how does this make sense? pizza nova is the better option. such nicer people and crispier pizza. The owner is also quite rude and called my friends the R slur. they don't wash their hands when prepping the pizza. no gloves either. There's little room to sit and it's not clean. the floor is filled with dust that looks like it hasn't been cleaned in months. Even though it's cheap, it's unsanitary and discusting.

The owner of paulies (the middle aged woman) kicked us out of the hallway next to paulies for sitting down? Apparently it was her chairs but she doesnt own the hallway so there shouldnt be chairs there in the first place. She kicked us out with curse words and even calling us r*****s. If you want to eat here, please be aware of the cruel owner who gets in other people’s business for no reason and even committing harsh actions against them. This is not even the first time this type of thing happened to me. One time she rummaged through my friends backpack without permission and wouldn’t let us give it back to my friend unless she got it herself. So please, if you want to help us and prevent this: DONT EAT OR ORDER AT PAULIES. ALSO IF YOU HAVE ANY AUTHORITY OVER THE AREA OR BUILDING, PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

Great pizza but they are never open as advertised. I’ve tried going 3 or 4 times in the last 2 weeks and they are always closed despite the hours they post on the door and google.

Great pizza but never know when they're open. I've been trying to stop by for a slice for the last week. Google says that they are open when they're not. They open later and close earlier then advertised. Again good for but not dependable at all.

The food is good, in particular the pizza is the best in town. But man their delivery is a disaster. They're always extremely late, even when I call ahead to confirm. The last two times have been more than an hour late.
